Abstract

This study aimed to assess the validity and effectiveness of a Teaching Factory (TEFA) model based on scientific creativity in enhancing students’ soft skills and fostering sustainable entrepreneurship. The TEFA approach was validated through expert evaluations and tested through two production processes involving 15 university students. The research focused on improving soft skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and time management, alongside sustainable entrepreneurship skills like opportunity identification, resource utilization, and entrepreneurial action. Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed through descriptive statistics and ANOVA to compare students' performance across the two production processes. The results showed significant improvements in students' soft skills and sustainable entrepreneurship, with the TEFA approach based on scientific creativity proving highly effective. Average soft skill scores increased from "Poor" to "Good" after the intervention, and similar improvements were observed in sustainable entrepreneurship scores. The structured pedagogical cycle employed—encompassing need identification, curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and reflection—successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in entrepreneurship education. However, a limitation of the study was its small sample size, indicating the need for further research with larger and more diverse populations. These findings suggest that the TEFA approach based on scientific creativity can be a valuable addition to university entrepreneurship programs, better preparing students for the challenges of the global business landscape.

Abstract

This study analyzes university students’ difficulties in using ChatGPT to solve routine mechanics of motion problems by mapping challenges across the problem-solving cycle and explaining how these difficulties emerge during student–AI interactions. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was employed. In the quantitative phase, 70 Physics Education and Science Education undergraduates who had completed Basic Physics or Mechanics and had used ChatGPT for learning completed a 24-item Likert questionnaire covering six dimensions: problem representation, prompt formulation, understanding solution steps, evaluation and verification, integration into one’s own solution, and self-regulation/technical constraints. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA with post-hoc tests, and correlation analyses were conducted. The overall difficulty level was moderate (M ≈ 3.22), with 61.4% in the moderate category and 18.6% in the high category. Evaluation and verification emerged as the most critical difficulty (M ≈ 3.69; 45.7% high). Significant differences were found by semester and frequency of ChatGPT use, but not by study program; early-semester and rare users reported higher difficulty, especially in verification. Correlations indicated a chain linking prompting, understanding, and verification (e.g., D3–D4 r = 0.62). In the qualitative phase, interviews and reflections with nine students (high/moderate/low difficulty) showed that incomplete problem representation and reactive prompt revision led to superficial understanding and premature trust in AI outputs, with limited unit, sign, and plausibility checks. The findings highlight verification as the main bottleneck and support instructional designs that foreground modeling, evaluative routines, and metacognitive regulation in AI-supported physics learning.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This systematic review examines the role of dance education in strengthening Pancasila values among Indonesian students across formal educational settings. The study synthesizes empirical and qualitative evidence from Indonesian scholarly literature to determine how dance-based pedagogical approaches facilitate the internalization of Indonesia's five foundational national principles. Materials and methods: Following the PRISMA 2020 framework, a systematic search was conducted across four major databases—Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), ERIC, and Google Scholar—covering publications from January 2014 to December 2024, executed between January 15 and March 1, 2025. Boolean search strings combined terms for dance education (seni tari, tari tradisional), Pancasila values, and Indonesian educational contexts. Of 1,285 initially identified records, 35 peer-reviewed studies met all eligibility criteria and were included in the final synthesis. Results: Analysis revealed that dance education significantly contributes to all five Pancasila dimensions. The strongest evidence was found for national unity and cultural identity (Sila 3; n=15 studies) and religiosity and spiritual awareness (Sila 1; n=12 studies). Effect sizes ranged from small (d=0.32) to large (d=1.14), with most studies reporting statistically significant improvements (p<0.05). Five recurring pedagogical mechanisms were identified: cultural embodiment, collaborative choreography, reflective practice, community performance, and symbolic ritual enactment. Conclusions: Dance education constitutes a culturally congruent and evidentially robust medium for Pancasila values transmission in Indonesian schools. Curriculum designers, policymakers, and educators should integrate structured dance programs across educational levels to support national character-building objectives. Future research should address longitudinal outcomes and cross-regional comparisons.
