Abstract

We use the scale of job satisfaction, school culture, and organizational commitment to analyze their effect on the turnover intention of honorary primary school teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach with the ex post facto method and correlational study. The population in this study were honorary teachers of the West Pasaman Regency Elementary School who were recorded in 2021. Five representative sub-districts were selected, namely: (1) Luhak Nan Duo, (2) Talamau, (3) Sungau Aur, (4) Valley Transverse, and (5) Koto Balingka. Sampling was carried out using purposive and proportional random sampling techniques. Sample in this study amounted to 200 honorary teachers. The instrument in this study was developed using a Likert scale. SEM SmartPls data processing was used to analyze the hypothesis. The results showed that the variables of job satisfaction, school culture, and organizational commitment had an effect on the turnover intention of honorary teachers in the West Pasaman Regency. Thus, efforts to increase job satisfaction, school culture, and teacher organizational commitment are recommended to reduce turnover intention, especially for honorary teachers.

Abstract

The phenomenon found shows that the performance of public elementary school teachers in the Lubuk Basung sub-district is relatively low. It is suspected that the cause is moralist leadership and adhocracy organizational culture. This study aims to reveal whether the two factors of moralist leadership and adhocracy organizational culture contribute to the performance of public elementary school teachers in the Lubuk Basung sub-district. The hypotheses proposed in this study are: 1) Moralistic leadership contributes to teacher performance, 2) Adhocracy organizational culture contributes to teacher performance and 3) Moralist leadership and adhocracy organizational culture together contribute to teacher performance. The study population was 300 public elementary school teachers in Palembayan District. The sample was drawn using a stratified proportional random sampling technique. The selected sample was 90 people. To test the hypothesis, correlation, and regression analysis techniques were used. Data collection using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis show that: 1) Moralist leadership contributes 22.1% to teacher performance, 2) Adhocracy organizational culture contributes 19.7% to teacher performance and 3) Moralist leadership and adhocracy organizational culture together contribute 31.9% to teacher performance. The level of score achievement for these three variables (teacher performance, moralist leadership, and adhocracy organizational culture) is in a good category. The results of this study indicate that moralist leadership and adhocracy organizational culture are two factors that need to be applied by principals to improve the performance of public elementary school teachers in Lubuk Basung District.

Abstract

While there is much epistemological debate in the delivery of education, epistemology and the search for scientific studies on educational administration are somewhat less related to research that has a direct impact on educational practice. As a field of knowledge production, educational administration carries out many analyses related to the issue of scientific progress. Its contribution can be made in conjunction with others. That is, innovation or scientific significance is an act of scientific (social) distinction. This means deliberately getting involved with another. In this paper, education administration knowledge is very limited. However, regardless of the diversity of opinion, this paper can be used as a basis for investigating knowledge about the role of social epistemology in educational administration. The analysis carried out shows that social epistemology can be used to transfer knowledge claims in education

Instrument development refers to two indicators, namely moral character and work character. The instrument was validated by experts and through validity and reliability testing. The results testing showed that validity and reliability with the respective rho count 0.927> rho table 0.648 and r results in 0.907> r table 0.514. Data analysis used simple statistics to determine the respondent's level of achievement level (RAL) from the readiness of male and female students' moral and work characteristics. The results showed that the achievement level of job readiness of vocational high school students in Padang city had reached 85.5%. The result of this study has inference that the distance learning system (online learning) during the Covid-19 pandemic did not harm the readiness of the work character of vocational high school students.

Abstract

Educational supervision aims to guide teachers in efforts to improve their skills, encourage superior learning, and provide assistance in overcoming obstacles. The aim of this research is to reveal how the application of collaborative learning strategies in educational supervision can encourage the growth of teacher professionalism. This research method uses literature analysis with a conceptual and theoretical approach. Five journals were the main references in this research. The research process involves topic selection, literature search, idea development, literature analysis, critical evaluation, and writing a literature review. The research results show that the use of collaborative learning strategies in educational supervision can enrich teacher professionalism. Collaboration between supervisors and teachers in reflecting on and correcting actions also has the potential to increase efficiency in the collaborative supervision process. Thus, collaborative supervision approaches provide an attractive option for improving teachers' professional skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to influence the use of a scientific approach to student learning outcomes in science learning in SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit, Pauh District, Padang. This research is an experimental research type Quasi Experimental Design with the design of The Static Comparison: Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study were all students in grade IV semester II SD Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit District Pauh which consisted of 2 classes totaling 47 people. Based on the data analysis, the results of testing of the data from the sample class are normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was done by t-test showing tcount = 2.464 and ttable = 1.677 with db = 47 (n1 + n2–2 = 24 + 25-2 = 47) and a significant level of 5%. Based on the t-test> t table (2,464> 1,677) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, with the conclusion that "student learning outcomes that use a scientific approach are better than student learning outcomes without using a scientific approach to student learning outcomes in science learning in grade IV elementary school Negeri 10 Lambung Bukit District Pauh ".
