Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of substantive criminal law and the judge’s considerations in deciding cases of forgery of COVID-19 rapid-test certificates as reflected in the Decision of the Pangkalan Bun District Court Number 255/Pid.B/2020/PN Pbu. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and case approaches. The findings indicate that the judges have considered the elements of forgery as stipulated in Article 263 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and imposed punishment based on principles of justice and legal certainty. The analysis also highlights the challenges of law enforcement during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the emergence of new crime patterns such as health document forgery

Abstract

This study examines the role of Ngawi Resort Police (Polres Ngawi) in law enforcement concerning children involved in drug abuse and trafficking. Children are a vital asset for national development and require special protection from threats such as narcotics. The issue of narcotics abuse now transcends age boundaries, with children often targeted due to their impressionable curiosity. Key legal frameworks include Indonesian Law No. 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System and Indonesian Law No. 35 of 2014, an amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002, concerning Child Protection. This research aims to analyze the preventive and preemptive efforts, as well as the application of diversion, restorative justice, and rehabilitation implemented by Polres Ngawi. The findings indicate that Polres Ngawi employs legal education in schools and community-based early detection as primary preventive and preemptive measures. In handling child offenders, Polres Ngawi prioritizes diversion, restorative justice, and rehabilitation to avoid formal judicial processes and facilitate comprehensive recovery. Recommendations include strengthening cross-sectoral coordination, enhancing human resource capacity for facilitators, educating communities on alternative child handling approaches, optimizing access to rehabilitation facilities, empowering local community actors, and continuously evaluating ongoing programs

Abstract

The Correctional System represents a rehabilitative paradigm in criminal justice that views imprisonment not merely as a punitive measure but as a process of social reintegration grounded in the values of Pancasila, as stipulated in Article 1 paragraph (2) of Law Number 12 of 1995. Nevertheless, the persistence of recidivism, particularly in theft-related offenses, indicates ongoing challenges in the effectiveness of inmate rehabilitation. This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to repeat theft offenses and to evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs implemented at the Class IIA Correctional Institution in Sidoarjo. The research employs a juridical-empirical approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. Qualitative and systematic analysis reveals that recidivism is influenced by a combination of individual, social, economic, educational, and law enforcement factors. The findings further demonstrate that the Class IIA Sidoarjo Correctional Institution has implemented rehabilitation programs with a relatively high level of effectiveness, particularly through personality development programs that enhance inmates’ self-awareness and vocational training programs that promote independence through work skills. These programs are consistent with the theory of legal effectiveness, encompassing normative implementation, the role of law enforcement officials, and the availability of supporting facilities. Overall, this study highlights the importance of strengthening adaptive and sustainable rehabilitation programs as a strategic approach to preventing recidivism and improving the success of inmates’ social reintegration. Keywords: Recidivism; Theft Offenses; Correctional System; Inmate Rehabilitation

Abstract

This paper attempts to examine the impact of rising fossil fuel prices on the increasing impact on the demand of alternative fuels (biofuels), and its impact on food availability in Indonesia. An econometric model using simultaneous equations is employed. An increase in world crude oil price for 0,192 percent caused the price of real Indonesian palm oil export raised by 10,64 percent. Consequently, a larger biodiesel production is needed to meet their crease of world's consumer demand for biodiesel. Also, with the increase in real export price of Indonesian palm oil, it" will encourage palm oil producers to push their export volume. Indonesian palm oil exporter expected to increase by 6,37 percent to finally push the domestic CPO price increase for 1,85 percent. Rising domestic oil prices are causing oil demand in the palm oil industry to decline by 0,49 percent and in the end resulting in the decline of palm oil production by1,56 percent.

Abstract

Growing awareness among Indonesian men of skin health and personal appearance has significantly increased demand for male skincare products, especially in the facial cleanser segment. Local brands such as Kahf continue to face strong competitive pressure fom international brands that dominate the market. This study examines the influence of digital marketing and influencers on repurchase intention for Kahf facial cleanser products, with customer trust as a mediating variable. Using SEM-PLS and data collected from 265 respondents in the Jabodetabek area. The findings show that social media marketing significantly affects customer trust but does not directly influence repurchase intention. Digital content marketing and influencer marketing significantly affect both customer trust and repurchase intention. Customer trust also shows a strong direct influence on repurchase intention. Indirect effects reveal that only the influencer shows a significant mediating effect through customer trust.

Abstract

This research examines the business strategy transformation of Kedai Kopi Ulee Kareng & Gayo II, a traditional Acehnese coffee shop in Medan, in response to changing consumer preferences and competition from the modern coffee industry. Using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach, SWOT analysis, and consumer surveys, this study aims to identify the existing business model, analyze internal and external factors, and formulate new business strategies that are adaptive to market trends. The research methodology involves in-depth interviews with cafe management, distribution of questionnaires to 200 respondents, and comprehensive analysis of the nine BMC elements. The results indicate the need for strategic adjustments to reach millennial and Gen Z consumer segments while maintaining the cafe's traditional essence. Key findings yield ten strategic recommendations, including modernizing the cafe concept, optimising digital marketing, and diversifying partnerships. Managerial implications emphasize the importance of balancing innovation and preservation of traditional values in developing the new business model. This research contributes significantly to understanding the dynamics of traditional business adaptation in the digital era and provides a strategic framework for traditional coffee shop entrepreneurs to enhance competitiveness in an evolving market.

Abstract

Purpose: This research uses a comparative qualitative analysis of Instagram posts published between January and May 2025. This study applies Situated Data Analysis to understand how social media content is shaped by platform logics, actors, and audience expectations. The content categories, visual styles, narratives, and thematic emphasis were analyzed. Research methodology: This study uses a comparative qualitative analysis of Instagram posts published between January and May 2025. This study applies Situated Data Analysis to understand how social media content is shaped by platform logics, actors, and audience expectations. The content categories, visual styles, narratives, and thematic emphasis were analyzed. Results: Significant differences were found between the two accounts. While @lampuung serves as an institutional promoter with comprehensive destination coverage, @portraitlampung acts as a curator focusing on emotionally resonant and aesthetically optimized content. Nature, marine, culinary, and recreational tourism dominate because of their visual appeal and algorithmic compatibility, whereas cultural, health, sports, and ecotourism receive limited attention. Conclusions: The study concludes that Instagram content visibility is influenced by platform affordances and curatorial power, reflecting distinct actor positions and engagement strategies on the platform. Destination marketing strategies should go beyond aesthetic optimization and focus on narrative-driven representations that integrate culture and sustainable tourism. Limitations: The study analyzed posts only between January and May 2025 and focused on two Lampung-based accounts, which may not represent broader tourism content across different regions or countries. Contribution: Theoretical: This study extends the Situated Data Analysis to tourism content research. Empirical: Demonstrates how digital visibility is shaped by platform affordances and curatorial power. Practical: Tourism marketing strategies should prioritize cultural and sustainable tourism in digital promotion.

Abstract

This study explores a loyalty model for customers of PT. XYZ, a certification body managing export product shipment certification. It examines the role of service quality, customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty and aims to identify areas for improvement. The questionnaires were distributed to 119 companies, but only 104 companies became research respondents. The data was collected using convenience sampling and telephone surveys. Results indicate that customer satisfaction is significantly shaped by five Servqual service quality dimensions: tangibility, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. These dimensions also substantially influence customer trust. Satisfaction and trust directly affect customer loyalty, with indirect effects mediated through trust. Specifically, reliability impacts trust via satisfaction, and assurance impacts trust through satisfaction. Satisfaction, in turn, drives loyalty through trust. For further improvements in service quality, it is recommended PT. XYZ conducts training personnel in communication and regulatory compliance. PT. XYZ is also suggested to conduct document control and personal protective equipment management training.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of protecting human rights (HR) in every law enforcement operation conducted by the Indonesian Police, particularly the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Pelopor Unit. The research problems focus on how the legal procedures of enforcement operations are carried out and the potential human rights violations that may occur. This study employs a normative juridical method with a statutory approach, supported by empirical data from observations and interviews. The findings indicate that Brimob enforcement operations are regulated by several legal instruments, including Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, Police Regulation (Perkap) No. 1 of 2009 on the Use of Force, Perkap No. 8 of 2009 on the Implementation of Human Rights Principles, and Perkap No. 2 of 2019 on Riot Control. The implementation consists of three stages: planning, execution, and evaluation, with legality, necessity, and proportionality as guiding principles. However, the potential for human rights violations remains, particularly in cases of excessive use of force, restrictions on freedom of assembly, and weak accountability mechanisms. Therefore, strengthening human rights-based training, independent supervision, and strict internal accountability are essential to ensure that enforcement operations remain consistent with the rule of law and the protection of human rights

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of criminal procedural law in the investigation process by the Mojokerto Police Department. The research method used is a normative juridical approach with field studies to obtain factual data. The results indicate that the implementation of investigations at the Mojokerto Police Department generally complies with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), including the stages of summons, arrest, detention, examination, and transfer of case files. Investigators also strive to comply with the principles of legal protection, including fulfilling the suspect's right to legal counsel and protection from arbitrary detention, although technical and non-technical obstacles remain. These obstacles include limited human resources, suboptimal supporting facilities, and low public understanding of the law. Efforts to overcome these obstacles are carried out through training for investigators, improving cross-agency coordination, and legal outreach to the community
