Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of reward methods to increase student learning enthusiasm in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons at Muhammadiyah Kedanyang Elementary School in Gresik. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), with two cycles involving all second-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and oral tests to describe changes in student motivation before and after the implementation of rewards. The results showed a significant increase in student learning motivation after the teacher consistently provided rewards, both in the form of tangible rewards such as stickers and non-tangible rewards such as praise and recognition. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and proactive in participating during the learning process, and demonstrated improved attendance and punctuality in submitting assignments. Although some challenges, such as potential dependency on rewards, were encountered, the teacher was able to overcome them by implementing the principle of reward-giving wisely and in a balanced manner. These findings demonstrate that rewards can be an effective strategy in fostering student learning motivation and positive behavior in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

The competition among educational institutions demands improvement in service quality as a key marketing strategy. Good service quality not only builds a positive image for the institution, but also encourages student satisfaction and interest. The purpose of this study is to identify a quality-based educational marketing strategy to increase student interest. This study used a qualitative approach, with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. The results of the study found that: 1) An effective Islamic education marketing strategy is rooted in the integration of Islamic values and service quality as the basis for forming a positive image of the institution. 2) MTs Al Hidayah excels with a humanistic approach based on empathy and service flexibility, while MTs Daarul Uluum PUI excels through a structured and institutional quality management system. 3) Visionary leadership, teacher competence, and spiritual value-based communication are key factors in building public trust and loyalty. 4) The main obstacles include a lack of quality systematization, documentation, and digital promotion innovation, which have an impact on the limited reach and professionalism of marketing. Strategic solutions include strengthening data-based quality management, increasing human resource capacity, community partnerships, and optimizing digital communication to create sustainable Islamic education marketing that has da'wah value.

Abstract

This article aims to explain in detail the typology of pesantren, where there are concepts of salafiah pesantren and khalafiah pesantren. Salafiyah pesantren is a pesantren where someone seeks knowledge, by implementing education that is guided by classical books or commonly known as yellow books. Khalafiyah pesantren or commonly known as modern pesantren is the result of the development of salafiyah pesantren, where education in this modern pesantren in addition to teaching religious knowledge is also taught general knowledge, with the aim of producing a generation that has skills in accordance with the times that exist today. The research method involved a literature review and analysis of current data related to the use of social media and its impact. The results of the study show that the Pesantren is transformative-active for its progress and is no longer a backward institution, the challenges of the times require the Pesantren to assimilate with the new culture. Now many Islamic boarding schools are experiencing changes both in terms of curriculum, teaching and leadership patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital marketing on consumer purchase intention in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector. The research was conducted on food sector MSMEs in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. The sample in this study consisted of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was incidental sampling. The type of data used in this study was quantitative data. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews with respondents, followed by the distribution of questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant and positive effect of digital marketing on consumer purchase intention in food sector MSMEs in Makassar City. This means that the better the implementation of digital marketing by food sector MSME actors, the higher the consumer purchase intention will be. Conversely, if the implementation of digital marketing is poor, consumer purchase intention will decrease.

Abstract

The growing demand for integrated Islamic schools to deliver high-quality education that emphasizes both academic excellence and character development has encouraged the adoption of Total Quality Management (TQM) as a modern and relevant management approach. TQM is considered appropriate because it highlights continuous improvement, active involvement of all school members, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction within the educational context. This study aims to analyze the implementation of TQM in improving school quality at three integrated Islamic junior high schools: SMP IT Al-Khoiriyyah, SMP IT Nurul Islam, and SMP IT Baitul Anshor. The research employed a qualitative method using a multi-case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving principals, vice principals, teachers, educational staff, students, and parents. Data analysis followed the stages of reduction, presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that TQM implementation in all three schools followed four main stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. During planning, TQM principles were embedded in School Work Plans, the PDCA cycle was applied, and stakeholders were actively involved. Organizing focused on quality-based structures, clear task distribution, and teamwork. Implementation included quality-oriented learning, teacher development, extracurricular activities, and integrated Islamic programs, while monitoring involved supervision, internal audits, evaluation meetings, and feedback systems. Supporting factors included visionary leadership, Islamic work culture, and parental support, while challenges involved limited facilities, uneven teacher competencies, and heavy workloads.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran Imam Malik dalam membangun konsep ‘Amal Ahl al-Madinah sebagai sumber hukum utama Mazhab Maliki. Melalui kajian historis-analitis, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Imam Malik mengangkat praktik hidup penduduk Madinah menjadi sumber hukum formal, yang dianggapnya sebagai sunnah Nabi yang lebih otentik daripada hadis ahad dalam kasus tertentu. Keputusan ini didasarkan pada argumentasi tekstual, historis, dan logis, serta membentuk karakter fikih Maliki yang kuat menjaga tradisi namun tetap adaptif. Konsep ini menjadi identitas khas mazhab yang membedakannya dari Hanafi dan Syafi‘i serta mendorong penyebarannya di Maghrib dan Andalusia. Disimpulkan bahwa ‘Amal Ahl al-Madinah adalah fondasi epistemologis yang menyeimbangkan teks, sejarah, dan realitas sosial dalam Mazhab Maliki.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) untuk mengadopsi strategi pemasaran berbasis data guna meningkatkan efektivitas penghimpunan dana zakat, infak, dan sedekah (ZIS). Tantangan utama yang dihadapi LAZ adalah keterbatasan dalam memahami karakteristik dan perilaku donatur secara komprehensif, sehingga strategi pemasaran yang diterapkan belum sepenuhnya tepat sasaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, mengembangkan, dan mengimplementasikan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (Decision Support System / DSS) yang inovatif dalam mendukung modernisasi strategi pemasaran pada LAZ. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan empiris sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa algoritma K-Medoids memiliki ketahanan yang lebih baik terhadap keberadaan outlier dibandingkan metode klasterisasi lainnya, sehingga efektif digunakan dalam segmentasi donatur berdasarkan pola dan perilaku transaksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan arsitektur, pengembangan aplikasi, serta tahap implementasi dan pengujian sistem. Sistem yang dikembangkan, yaitu ZIS-Smart-DSS, dibangun menggunakan arsitektur berbasis web dengan framework Python Flask sebagai pengelola backend, basis data relasional untuk pengelolaan data transaksional donatur, serta integrasi Application Programming Interface (API) dengan Large Language Models (LLM) untuk mengotomatisasi pembuatan konten pemasaran yang adaptif dan personal. Hasil segmentasi donatur yang dihasilkan oleh algoritma K-Medoids dimanfaatkan sebagai dasar dalam memberikan rekomendasi strategi pemasaran yang lebih tepat sasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ZIS-Smart-DSS mampu mengintegrasikan proses analisis data, pengambilan keputusan, dan eksekusi strategi pemasaran secara efektif. Sistem ini memberikan dukungan signifikan bagi pengelola LAZ dalam memahami karakteristik donatur serta meningkatkan relevansi dan efektivitas komunikasi pemasaran berbasis kecerdasan buatan.

Abstract

This thesis discusses efforts to improve fine motor skills through pattern-sewing activities for children aged 4–5 years at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. The purpose of this study is to determine the fine motor skills of early childhood through pattern-sewing activities at RA Tamoponreng, Manurunge Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design, specifically the One Group Pretest–Posttest model. The research was conducted at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District, with a sample of 10 children. The study employed a pedagogical approach, and the data were collected through observation and testing. The data obtained during the study were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 22 to determine the results of descriptive statistics for the pretest and posttest, as well as the paired sample t-test. The results show that pattern-sewing activities can improve fine motor skills in Group A at RA Tamoponreng, Macege Village, Tanete Riattang Barat District. This is evidenced by the t-test results for the pretest and posttest, where the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that pattern-sewing activities significantly enhance fine motor skills in children. Keywords: Fine Motor Skills, Pattern Sewing

Abstract

This is a part of a larger study investigating the potential of Facebook for mathematics learning. This case study explored the responses of Facebook users towards opened and closed mathematical tasks posted on Facebook. In total, 149 Facebook users responded to the tasks resulting in 242 comments during a short period of time. All of the responses were downloaded and content analysis was utilised to identify patterns occurring within the responses. Virtual ethnographic study was also applied to further identify the demographical background of participants (education/professional background and locations). The results of this study suggests that opened mathematical tasks create broader opportunities for the Facebook users to express their mathematical ideas in different ways and attract richer mathematical interactions among the users than closed mathematical tasks. The nature of the task potentially shaped the types of responses from the Facebook users. This paper discusses some broad observations on the implications of the study as well as suggestions for future research.

Abstract

The specific objective of this study is to reveal and describe the ethnomathematical elements found in the traditional game of snakes and ladders. This study uses a qualitative approach that links mathematical concepts to the local cultural context. Data analysis in this study was carried out in three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the observation, it was found that the traditional game of snakes and ladders contains various ethnomathematical elements that can be utilized in mathematics learning. These elements arise naturally during the game according to the applicable rules. The traditional game of snakes and ladders contains various mathematical concepts, such as numbers, geometry, probability, and game rules that reflect mathematical activities.
