Abstract

This paper discusses the evaluation of educational programs in learning in schools where the implementation of education as part of educating the life of the nation must receive full attention from policy makers in this country, as stated in article 31 of the 1945 Constitution, amendment 4 that every citizen country has the right to education. The main goal of education is to develop human beings from an intellectual, emotional and spiritual perspective. In terms of its objectives, the output of education should be able to produce human resources who have advantages in terms of intellectual, emotional and spiritual. Education must be able to answer the challenges of the development of science and technology which is accompanied by a flow of information that is increasingly developing rapidly. The writing of this article uses the method of literature analysis (library research), namely the study of various scientific sources such as articles in both national and international journals and books that are in accordance with the themes and titles discussed. The literature analysis method makes the writer to read and find sources of reading material that are appropriate to the themes being discussed or are relevant. In this case the method of literature analysis is an appropriate and effective step.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze operational strategies and social relations in the development of Islamic educational institutions through the EduVision Strategika approach at the Miftahul Ulumi Syar'iyyah Canduang Islamic Boarding School. The research employs a qualitative case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentary analysis involving 15 key informants. The findings reveal that the boarding school's development success is determined not only by operational factors such as integrative curriculum planning, participatory human resource management, and Islamic value based governance but also by strong social cohesion among leaders, teachers, students, alumni, and the surrounding community. Thus, this is inline with the internalization of civic education in Islamic education institution. The EduVision Strategika approach serves as an integrative model that combines an Islamic value-based educational vision, managerial innovation, and social network strengthening, enabling Islamic boarding schools to adapt to modern dynamics without abandoning Islamic traditions. The study offers practical contributions to the development of Islamic educational institution strategies and civic educations that effectively balance operational and social aspects, providing a sustainable development model for contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) has triggered fundamental changes in the paradigm of modern education. This article aims to analyze the technological foundations of education from philosophical, theoretical and practical perspective within the context of 21st-century learning. This study employs a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting and synthesizing recent academic sources such as journal articles, scholarly books and research report related to the integration of technology in education. The findings indicate that understanding the philosophical foundations including ontological, epistemological and axiological dimensions essential for guiding ethical and meaningful technological use. Theoretically, the integration of learning theories and systems theories strengthens the conceptual framework for implementing educational technology. Practically, technology enhances the effectiveness, interactivity and accessibility of learning. However, the teacher’s role remains central in directing and humanizing digital learning processes. The implications of the study highlight the necessity of strengthening digital literacy, technology-based instructional design, and ethical ICT use among educators and institution to ensure that digital transformation remains aligned with humanistic values and national educational goals.

Abstract

The transformation of teachers’ roles from facilitators to learning coaches has become a pedagogical necessity in the era of globalization, particularly in English language teaching, which demands autonomous learning, metacognition, and 21st-century competencies. This article examines the shift through three lenses: the historical foundations of Islamic education, contemporary learning theories, and empirical findings from recent research (2017–2023). Using a systematic literature review, the study synthesizes evidence on the effectiveness of educational coaching and assesses its conceptual alignment with the Islamic conception of teachers mu’allim, murabbi, and muaddib. Findings indicate that learning coaching not only enhances instructional practice and students’ self-regulated learning (SRL) but also aligns with the core values and aims of Islamic education. The study proposes an integrative framework combining pedagogical, linguistic, character-based, and spiritual dimensions for English language learning in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of Canva-based informatics learning media through validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests to increase the engagement and understanding of class X students at SMK Teknologi Muhammadiyah Bukittinggi. Based on observations and interviews at SMK Teknologi Muhammadiyah Bukittinggi, the informatics learning process in class X is still dominated by lecture methods and conventional media, thus not maximizing active student participation and making learning feel monotonous. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) model with the Hannafin and Peck approach consisting of three stages: needs analysis, design, and development. The results of the validity test show that the media is in the valid category with an average score of 0.88. The practicality test by the teacher showed very high results with a value of 0.94, while the effectiveness test showed a value of 0.90, with a high effectiveness category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the informatics learning media for class X developed using Canva is proven to be valid, practical, and effective, and has the potential to help increase student engagement and understanding in the learning process. Thus, this media is worthy of being used as a supporting alternative in informatics learning activities in schools. Abstrak

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design educational game-based learning evaluation media using the Zep Quiz platform which is expected to be a solution for evaluating Informatics learning that is more interactive, effective and efficient compared to conventional evaluation using physical answer sheets, as well as increasing student involvement in the evaluation process. This research is based on the results of interviews with class VII Informatics subject teachers at SMPN 6 Bukittinggi as well as direct observations in class, which show that the learning evaluation process still uses conventional media in the form of physical answer sheets. This condition makes students feel bored and less motivated, while teachers face obstacles in checking and recording evaluation results because they are still done manually. To overcome these problems, this research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. Validity testing was carried out using Aiken's V, practicality testing using Cohen's Kappa, and effectiveness testing using Hake's G-Score. The research results showed that the Zep Quiz-based evaluation media was declared valid with an average score of 0.86, practical with an average score of 0.93, and effective with an average score of 0.83. The contribution of this research is to present educational game-based learning evaluation media using Zep Quiz which is valid, practical and effective, so that it can be an alternative solution for teachers in carrying out learning evaluations that are more interactive, efficient and able to increase student motivation. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang media evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis game edukasi menggunakan platform Zep Quiz yang diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi evaluasi pembelajaran Informatika yang lebih interaktif, efektif, dan efisien dibandingkan evaluasi konvensional menggunakan lembar jawaban fisik, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses evaluasi. Penelitian ini didasari oleh hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran Informatika kelas VII SMPN 6 Bukittinggi serta observasi langsung di kelas, yang menunjukkan bahwa proses evaluasi pembelajaran masih menggunakan media konvensional berupa lembar jawaban fisik. Kondisi tersebut membuat siswa merasa jenuh dan kurang termotivasi, sementara guru menghadapi kendala dalam pemeriksaan dan perekapan hasil evaluasi karena masih dilakukan secara manual. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Uji validitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan Aiken’s V, uji praktikalitas dengan Cohen’s Kappa, dan uji efektivitas dengan G-Score Hake. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media evaluasi berbasis Zep Quiz dinyatakan valid dengan skor rata-rata 0,86, praktis dengan skor rata-rata 0,93, dan efektif dengan skor rata-rata 0,83. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah menghadirkan media evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis game edukasi menggunakan Zep Quiz yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, sehingga dapat menjadi solusi alternatif bagi guru dalam melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, efisien, dan mampu meningkatkan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

This article explores the fundamental concepts, scope, and urgency of Islamic education planning in addressing contemporary challenges. Islamic education planning is understood as a systematic and continuous process aimed at establishing high-quality, relevant institutions grounded in Islamic values. The study employs a qualitative library research approach, enriched by interviews with leaders, teachers, and students in Islamic boarding schools. Data were collected from academic literature and analyzed using content analysis to identify key themes related to Islamic education planning. The findings reveal that well-structured planning serves as a crucial strategy for directing education, optimizing resources, and enhancing the quality of Kitab Kuning learning. Consequently, Islamic educational institutions are better positioned to cultivate knowledgeable, virtuous, and globally adaptive generations.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between educational theories and the development of the Islamic Education Curriculum in the context of educational reform and innovation in Indonesia. Education is viewed as a conscious and purposeful process to develop the full potential of students, while the curriculum serves as an instrument that bridges educational theory with learning practices in the field. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method sourced from various primary and secondary literature, such as the works of John Dewey, Ki Hajar Dewantara, Paulo Freire, Piaget, and Bruner. The results of the study show that educational theories, including behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and humanism, have contributed significantly to the direction and strategy of Islamic Religious Education curriculum development. These theories help educators understand the characteristics of students, determine learning objectives, and design processes and evaluations oriented towards spiritual, intellectual, and moral development. Thus, the synergy between educational theory and curriculum is key to realizing Islamic Religious Education learning that is relevant, contextual, and adaptive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Tujuan dialakukanya penelitian ini adalah agar bisa menghasilkan suatu sistem pakar guna menentukan siswa yang berhak menerima beasiswa di SMKN 4 Payakumbuh secara valid, efektif, dan praktis. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam proses seleksi beasiswa antara lain adalah kompleksitas kriteria seleksi seperti prestasi akademik, kondisi ekonomi, dan keadaan keluarga, kebutuhan akan sistem yang mampu memberikan alasan logis kepada orang tua terkait hasil seleksi, serta lamanya proses seleksi manual karena pengumpulan dan verifikasi data yang memakan waktu. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan itu penulis merancang sistem pakar berdasarkan metode forward chaining, yaitu metode berbasis aturan yang memulai dengan mencari fakta-fakta yang ada supaya dapat menghasilkan sebuah kesimpulan. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah penelitian menunjukkan jika sistem pakar yang dikembangkan, yaitu SIPABEA, memiliki kemampuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan siswa secara otomatis, serta menghemat waktu dalam proses seleksi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, nilai validitas SIPABEA mencapai 0,88 yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini sangat valid. Selain itu, nilai praktikalitas sebesar 1 menunjukkan bahwa sistem sangat praktis untuk digunakan, dan nilai efektivitas sebesar 0,87 mengindikasikan bahwa sistem memiliki tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, sistem ini memberikan kontribusi dalam penerapan teknologi informasi di bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam proses seleksi beasiswa yang lebih efisien.

Abstract

InefsahChat merupakan media pembelajaran berbasis chatbot yang dirancang untuk mengatasi keterbatasan media pembelajaran konvensional di SMKN 1 Matur, khususnya dalam aspek bidang pelajaran Komputer dan Jaringan Dasar. Keterbatasan tersebut menyebabkan rendahnya literasi siswa dan kesulitan dalam memahami materi di luar jam belajar yang di terima siswa . Penelitian ini memiliki suatu fungsi yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan chatbot edukatif berbasis teks-retrieval yang mampu merespons pertanyaan siswa secara cepat, akurat, dan sesuai dengan kurikulum. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam aspek  jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan sebuah sistem agile yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, pengujian, implementasi, evaluasi, dan pemeliharaan. Basis pada teknologi yang diterapkan  dalam sistem pada penalitian ini yaitu PHP, JavaScript, CSS, dan basis data MySQL. Produk functional diuji berdasarkan standar ISO/IEC 25010 dengan indikator suitability, compatibility, dan usability, serta dilakukan uji validitas isi dan kebahasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji functional suitability dan compatibility memperoleh nilai 100% (sangat layak), uji usability memperoleh nilai 85,25% (sangat layak), sedangkan hasil uji validitas isi sebesar 0,97 dan kebahasaan 0,87 dengan rata-rata 0,92 yang dinyatakan valid. Berdasarkan patokan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan dan diringkas bahwa InefsahChat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mendukung pemahaman siswa dan efektivitas penyampaian materi oleh guru. Sistem ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut.
