Abstract

Based on a study conducted by the WHO Global Burden of Disease in 2010 stated, OA ranks 11th, the cause of disability in the world, and ranks 6th in East Asia and the Asia-Pacific countries, ranked 10th in North America, ranked 7th in Eastern Europe , and ranked 13th in Western Europe. Pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA) as degenerative joint disease that was once thought caused by a mechanical process. The prevalence, etiology, pathogenesis and progression of OA are still not understood until now, mainly because of the many influencing factors. This type of research is a analytic study. It was conducted in Rheumatology Polyclinic Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from February to December 2019. Affordable research population is all genu osteoarthritis sufferers with effusion who go to Dr. RSUP Mohammad Hoesin Palembang as 80 samples. Comparison of NFATC1 mRNA levels in genu osteoarthritis patients with effusion shows that there is no difference in gender and history of diabetes, whereas hypertension history and degree of osteoarthritis based on Lawrence Kalgren shows significantly different expression of NFATC1 mRNA. Age with NFATC1 mRNA expression showed no significant correlation, in contrast to BMI, Stroke Test and joint effusion volume showed a weak significant correlation, even though the direction of the correlation was negative on Stroke Test and joint effusion volume.

Abstract

The cell cycle is a vital process in the life of every organism. Normally, the cell cycleresults in cell division. Cell division consists of 2 main processes, namely DNAreplication and chromosome division that has been duplicated into 2 daughter cells.Cyclin is expressed periodically so that the cyclin concentration varies at each phase ofthe cell cycle. Cdks are threonine or serine protein kinases which must bind to cyclinfor its activation. The concentration of Cdks is relatively constant during the cell cycle.Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor (CKI) is a protein that can inhibit Cdk activity bybinding to Cdk or the cyclin-Cdk complex

Abstract

A B S T R A C THydatidiform is a gestational trophoblast disease which is histopathologicallycharacterized by the proliferation of avascular trophoblast cells and corial villi andundergoing hydrophic degeneration. The proliferation of trophoblast cells inhydatidiform moles can be in the form of cytotrophoblast, syncytiotrophoblast orintermediate trophoblast proliferation.

Abstract

A B S T R A C TThe causes of sarcopenia are thought to be multifactorial including: environmentalfactors, illness, activation of inflammatory pathways, mitochondrial dysfunction, lossof neuromuscular junctions, reduced number of satellite cells and changes in thequality of hormonal function. The mechanism of sarcopenia occurs because the agingprocess coupled with reduced physical activity can cause the formation of cytokinesto increase so that inflammation is easy, insulin resistant, anabolic resistance andneuromuscular impairments.

Abstract

A B S T R A C TOmega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids that have multiple double bonds, the first double bond is located on the third carbon atom of the omega-methyl group, the next double bond is located at the third carbon atom from the previous doublebond. The methyl omega group is the last group in the fatty acid chain. Omega-3 fattyacids are nutrients that play a vital role in the growth and development process ofbrain neuron cells for the intelligence of the born baby.

Abstract

A B S T R A C TResearch is an activity carried out based on scientific principles and methodssystematically to obtain information, data, and information from related subjects, withunderstanding the theory and proving assumptions and / or hypotheses. The resultsobtained are conclusions that can be applied or become additional knowledge for theadvancement of science. However, research activities must still respect the rights anddignity of research subjects. Health research includes biomedical, epidemiological, social, and behavioral research. Some health research can be done in vitro, usingmathematical models, or computer simulations.

Abstract

A distinguishing feature of rodents, including rats, is the absence of canines and thepresence of prominent incisors. Rats are monophydontic, meaning they grow one setof teeth in their lifetime. The enamel of the rodent incisor contains iron, which givesit its yellow-orange color. Rats are mammals and as such, possess many similaritieswith other mammals. Only the peculiarities of the rat’s anatomy are addressed. Malerats reach puberty at 40 - 60 days of age. Descent of the testes usually occursbetween days 30 - 60. Sperm counts vary by strain. The male rat has an os penis.Male rats have the following accessory sexual organs: ampulla, seminal vesicles, prostate, bulbourethral glands, coagulating glands, and preputial glands. Thecoagulating gland and prostatic and vesicular secretions are responsible for thecopulation plug, a firm plug deposited in the vagina of the female after copulation.(This plug, when found outside the female rat, is capsuleshaped and approximately5 mm long.) The male rat has no nipples. The adult male rat has a prominentscrotum and a longer anogenital distance than the female rat.
