Abstract

Environmental damage must be considered from a small scope but has a large influence, can be applied through the Green Constitution to develop students' Civic Engagement. The appropriate method used in this research is a comparative study with a qualitative approach, which will be applied with a minimum of 3 schools in Bandung. The results showed; How is the implementation of the Green Constitution model in Civic Education learning to develop Civic Engagement for students. After doing research, this model was successful despite experiencing differences in the results of each school, this success was due to the use of the Green Constitution model through the citizen project.

Abstract

The industrial revolution has had a profound effect on the world of education. In addition to having a positive impact on several things, the industrial revolution also had a negative effect. The method used in this research is a case study with a qualitative approach, which will be applied in schools. The results of this study indicate: How does the Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan teacher's competence develop content, processes, media, learning resources and assessment of the learning process in the industrial revolution 4.0? After doing research, the industrial revolution provides a change in terms of learning media to learning in the classroom conducted by teachers, through the industrial revolution 4.0, teachers are increasingly motivated to develop learning activities in the classroom and also increasingly diverse learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of investigation group learning model based on Marzano’s instructional framework in improving students’ higher order thinking skills. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with the matching only control group pretest-posttest design. Here, the data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and tests. The tests consisting of limited and extensive tests aim to analyze the effectiveness of the investigation group learning model based on Marzano’s instructional framework in improving students’ higher order thinking skills. The results showed that the majority of students (>75%) have an increased level of higher order thinking skills (critical and creative thinking skills). It was proved by the results of statistical analysis where the sig. value < 0.05 and ttable > tcount. Thus, H0 is rejected meaning that there is a significant difference on students’ higher order thinking skills before and after applying the investigation group learning model based on Marzano’s instructional framework in the teaching and learning process. Then, if it is classified, the improvement of students’ critical and creative thinking skills is included into the medium category. Hence, it can be concluded that the investigation group learning model based on Marzano’s instructional framework is effective in improving students’ higher order thinking skills in social studies learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly uncertain pandemic Covid-19 situation and has yet to show when it will end. Learning during the pandemic is carried out using the Distance Learning (PJJ) system using limited media. Learning could be carried out face-to-face but returned online due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases. One of the problems teachers face during online learning is low learning outcomes, especially in social studies subjects. The value of learning outcomes can be increased continuously during the learning process, one of which is utilizing and maximizing learning media. This study aimed to determine whether or not the use of Animaker-based instructional video media on social studies learning outcomes for seventh-grade students of SMP N 1 Cikarang Selatan. This study uses a quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design—data collection techniques used learning outcomes tests and questionnaires distributed to the research sample. The sample in this study is class VII.3 as the experimental class and VII.4 as the control class. The analytical technique used is hypothesis testing with the Wilcoxon test technique or the Mann-Whitney test, using statistical tests assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25. The results of processing and testing research data show differences that at least increase the learning outcomes of experimental class students after the treatment is applied. , with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results align with the questionnaire data on student responses to the use of Animaker-based learning video media, which received positive acceptance as a medium in social studies learning with a percentage of 81%.

Abstract

The research objective is to describe and analyze students' understanding of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Dissertation Examination. The research used a survey method, data collection techniques using a questionnaire with the help of the Google form application, and quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The research subjects were 51 Doctoral Program students at the UPI graduate school who graduated in the 2020/2021 academic year. The results show that most doctoral students understand the SOP for the implementation of the dissertation exam, and doctoral students have problems with dissertation writing with similarity below 20%. Doctoral students have difficulty obtaining a predetermined foreign language score, students have issues related to the duration of the dissertation review time. provided by the commission team. Doctoral students have difficulty in making reputable journal articles and finding international journals that are appropriate to the field being studied, besides that there are also difficulties with the article submission process, experiencing difficulties in the revision process until the article is published. In terms of student readiness for the Stage 1 Exam Implementation and the Promotional Examination, doctoral students did not experience any problems or obstacles.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of internet media literacy in social studies learning among state junior high school students in the city of Bandung, an overview of students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning in public junior high schools in the city of Bandung, and the effect of internet media literacy on students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning in Junior High School in the City of Bandung. The research method used in this study is a survey. The data collection tool used in this study was a questionnaire, which was carried out by distributing a set list of questions or written statements to respondents to answer. The results of the study show that the effect of internet media literacy on students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning is 45%. This percentage is relatively large, a small part of students' critical thinking abilities in social studies learning is influenced by internet media literacy variables. So it can be said that internet media literacy has such an effect on students' critical thinking skills, especially in social studies learning for Bandung City Middle School students.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan kehidupan dunia yang dinamis memberikan konsekuensi terhadap kemunculan konsepsi warga global terkait peran, kedudukan, dan partisipasinya. Konteks tersebut juga berhubungan dengan isu-isu global yang terkait dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaaan. Upaya tersebut dapat disrespons melalui pendidikan, khususnya pendidikan kewarganegaraan (PKn). Rumusan yang dikemukakan dalam penulisan artikel ini ialah: 1. Bagaimana konsepsi warga global beserta isu-isu global yang menyertainya?, dan 2. Bagaimana PKn dilaksanakan sebagai upaya pembentukan warga global yang humanis?. Dalam implementasinya, warga global tidak bisa dilepaskan dari isu-isu global yang akan mempengaruhi persepsinya mengenai kehidupan global. PKn dapat dilaksanakan sebagai wadah bagi pengembangan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang toleran untuk menjamin kehidupan bersama yang harmonis dengan implementasi pilar-pilar pendidikan dan mengakomodir kecakapan abad 21 dan diharapkan mampu mengembangkan warga negara dari segi civic literacy untuk memiliki kemelekan terhadap isu-isu yang dinamis, civic responsibility untuk memiliki tanggungjawab terhadap hidup bersama yang harmonis, civic action untuk memiliki kehendak untuk bertindak dalam menyikapi isu-isu global, civic engagement untuk memiliki keterkaitan dengan kehidupan global dan isu-isu terkait, dan civic values untuk memiliki kepedulian pada nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. AbstractThe dynamic development of world life has consequences for the emergence of the conception of global citizens regarding their roles, positions and participation. The context also relates to global issues related to human values. This effort can be responded to through education, especially civics education (PKn). The formulations put forward in writing this article are: 1. What is the conception of global citizens and the accompanying global issues?, and 2. How is Civics implemented as an effort to form humane global citizens? In its implementation, global citizens cannot be separated from global issues that will affect their perceptions of global life. Civics can be implemented as a forum for the development of tolerant human values to ensure a harmonious shared life with the implementation of the pillars of education and accommodate 21st century skills and is expected to be able to develop citizens in terms of civic literacy to have literacy for dynamic issues, civic responsibility to have responsibility for living together in harmony, civic action to have the will to act in addressing global issues, civic engagement to have a connection with global life and related issues, and civic values to have concern for human values .

Abstract

Pendidikan kewarganegaraan global (Global Citizenship Education/GCE) merupakan bagian dari program berkelanjutan yang diinisiasi oleh UNESCO. Namun, konsep dan praktik GCE masih belum memiliki dasar teoretis yang jelas. Sebagian besar penelitian masih didasarkan pada prinsip kewarganegaraan Barat, sehingga kurang mempertimbangkan sumber-sumber non-Barat yang menawarkan potensi pembenaran etis, wawasan, dan arahan untuk GCE. Artikel ini menyajikan landasan etis untuk GCE yang berasal dari filosofi nilai moral Pancasila, yang terdiri dari lima sila yang memuat aspek ketuhanan, kemanusiaan, persatuan, demokrasi dan keadilan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis konseptual yang digunakan untuk mengkritik konsep GCE yang dianut oleh UNESCO dan mengusulkan Pancasila sebagai tawaran landasan etis GCE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter moral Pancasila dapat menjadi landasan etis yang lebih tepat untuk kewarganegaraan global, dan dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan konsep GCE yang lebih inklusif dan holistik dengan memasukkan karakter moral Pancasila sebagai landasan etis. Artikel ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi pengembangan kurikulum GCE yang lebih luas dan memperhitungkan perspektif non-Barat dalam konteks pendidikan global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk memberikan informasi argumentatif, mengenai pentingnya visi PKn global untuk penguatan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan warga negara global, sebagai modal sosial mewujudkan kedamaian pada Kawasan Asia Pasifik,. Riset ini berbasis pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode studi literatur, analisis data, yaitu, reduksi, display dan verifikasi, atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian, yaitu, pertama, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan global memiliki orientasi dalam memperkuat nilai-nilai kemanusiaan warga negara global, khususnya di kawasan Asia Pasifik, agar setiap warga negara yang berbeda secara status kewarganegaraan bisa saling menghargai serta bertoleransi juga memiliki sikap nasionalisme luas, lalu untuk mewujudkan kedamaian serta kesejahteraan pada kawasan Asia Pasifik, kedua, penerapan model PKn global kontekstual adalah wahana strategis untuk pengutan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, sebagai modal sosial untuk mewujudkan gerakan kewarganegaraan global yang cinta damai, toleran, demokratis, dan filantropi, untuk kedamaian kawasan Asia Pasifik. Kesimpulan, yaitu, orientasi PKn global di kawasan Asia Pasifik, berbasis nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, merupakan upaya ilmiah, dan alternatif, untuk mewujudkan kedamaian, keadilan, dan kesejahteraan secara regional dan inernasional, dengan menelaah dan merefleksikan isu-isu kewarganegaraan sensitif di Asia Pasifuk, selaku sumber pembelajaran PKn global bersifat kontekstual, untuk penguatan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan.

Abstract

Citizenship education aims to cultivate intelligent and responsible citizens. One essential characteristic of a responsible citizen is their active engagement in civic duties, as demonstrated through their attitudes and behavior. This study examines the level of civic engagement among high school students in preserving local culture during the era of disruption. The research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach and collects data from high school students in Cianjur Regency, Indonesia, using a survey questionnaire. The findings reveal that: (1) the level of civic attitude among students in cultural preservation is sufficient, with a score of 55.12%; and (2) the level of civic behavior, specifically real action taken to preserve local culture, is very low, with a score of 9.22%. This suggests that student involvement in cultural preservation needs to be further developed to safeguard local culture. Therefore, future researchers are advised to devise a Citizenship education learning model that can foster civic engagement among high school students in preserving local culture.
