Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis riset merupakan petunjuk dari suatu sistem dimana menggunakan pembelajaran yang autentik, dengan penyelesaian masalah, pembelajaran bersama (kelompok), proses kegiatan yang memerlukan pemikiran serta tindakan langsung, dan penemuan dari hasil rasa ingin tau, yang berdasarkan filosofi konstruktivisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan sikap kesadaran lingkungan dan sikap konservasi siswa melalui program sekolah riset. Pemecahan permasalahan sikap kesadaran lingkungan dan koservasi dilakukan dengan beberapa pendekatan yang dilakukan secara bersama sama yaitu, pertama, Penyuluhan mengenai program sekolah riset. Kedua, yaitu Komprehensif, seluruh kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan secara serentak terkait dengan peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan dan sikap konservasi yang dilakukan melalui penyuluhan. Selanjutnya kedua metode di atas diimlementasikan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu sosialisasi, penyuluhan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu, pertama, peningkatan sikap kesadaran lingkungan dan sikap konservasi melalui pembelajaran di kelas yang telah diintegrasikan dengan materi pendidikan lingkungan hidup yang dikemas dalam konsep pembelajaran berbasis riset. Kedua, pembinaan kesadaran lingkungan dan sikap konservasi ditumbuhkan dengan kegiatan-kegiatan mini riset seperti pembelajaran di lingkungan secara langsung.

Abstract

This research is purposed to understand the impact of mini research learning based on local wisdom towards the ability mastership of biology conservation content. The mastery of biology conservation concept is vital to the real life application in order to change the student’s attitude, prowess, value, behavior, and believe towards nature, which in the end could trigger the sustainable development. The method used in this research is the quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The result showed that the concept mastery after the application of mini research learning based on local wisdom (post-test) was higher (80) compare to the control class (66). Moreover, the ability of content mastership (N-gain) after the application of mini research learning based on local wisdom was 0.69, higher than the control class (0.47). Furthermore, the result of t-test showed that there was a different of student’s content mastery between experiment and control class. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Banten folklore and vocabulary mastery on students' ability to write narrative texts. This quasi-experimental research used a two-by-two non-equivalent control group design with a factorial layout in four parallel classes, namely class XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, XI IPS 3, XI IPS 4, and XI IPS 5. Pretest and posttest activities were used to collect data on learning outcomes. The sample consists of 80 students chosen at random according to the condition and purpose of the study. The findings indicate a substantial difference between the experimental and control groups on the posttest. The FO value is 5.225, and the Sig. value is 0.025 < 0.05. As a result, it demonstrates that the null hypothesis was rejected while the research hypothesis was supported. This also implies a distinction between the interaction impact of Banten folklore and vocabulary knowledge on students' ability to write narrative texts.

Abstract

By examining Banten's local wisdom, this paper intends to investigate the evolution of English for Tourism teaching materials. This article examines the concept of material development, material development principles, material development requirements analysis, and local wisdom as a point in the construction of teaching materials. The following section covers the material development process and analyzes the development of English Tourism course materials based on local knowledge. This article also offers advice on how to incorporate local knowledge into material development and how to create useful materials for an English for Tourism course.

Abstract

Jawara of a special position in Banten society. Jawara was part of the subculture in Banten society that has a special position other than "Kiai" and "Ulama". Jawara's position in Banten society had a strong influence that penetrates the boundaries of rural hierarchies in Banten, so that Jawara gets informal labeling by the people of Banten. The purpose of this study was to identify the moral values of Jawara Banten in the formation of students' character. The method used in this research was to use the literature review method. Based on the research, it can be said that the moral values of Banten's Jawara were positive in the formation of student character, namely: the values of discipline, independence, and hard work that can be realized in students' daily lives.

Abstract

Semiotic analysis will be used to explain the legend of Mpok Ris as a character teaching tool. The study of sign systems, such as language, motion, music, and images, is known as semiotics. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research approach, which includes processes for gathering data, recording data, analyzing data, and summarizing research findings. According to Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, the legend of Mpok Ris is employed as a medium for character education by employing the three types of semiotics: denotative, connotative, and mythic. A semiotic analysis of the legend of Mpok Ris found evidence of denotation, connotation, and myth, according to the findings. Mpok Ris legend features some character education principles, including the virtues of hard labor, inventiveness and independence as well as the values of loyalty to one's homeland, friendly/communicativeness and duty to the community

Abstract

As a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic, teaching activity for pre-service teachers enrolled in the second year of a teacher education program from mid-March of 2020/2021 at the Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa were changed in a remote learning setting. This study's objective was to investigate pre-service students' perceptions and personal experience toward the transition of General microbiology lecture to online learning during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The results described the efforts and adaptation to an online teaching model of the General Microbiology course using both online synchronous and asynchronous learning. The perspectives of the Pre-Service Teacher about this strategy were analyzed and showed positive responses. Despite some challenges, they could adapt to the new learning methods. In addition, the study also provided an analysis of faculty readiness and experiences through a process that can use as a foundation to tackle the pandemic situation in the future.

Abstract

The Rawa Danau Nature Reserve in Serang Banten is a highland swamp conservation area that is still left on the island of Java, but its existence is currently very threatened by human activities to fulfill its needs. Therefore, awareness of the importance of biodiversity through conservation education is needed. Conservation education requires materials or facilities that are close to people's lives, one example is bamboo plants. Bamboo is quite well known by the public, because it is used in everyday life. This study aims to find out the types of bamboo in Rawa Danau natural reserves which are then packaged as material for the development for Conservation Education. The research and development method is used to obtain the Conservation Education product. The result found 8 types of bamboo consisting of 5 genera, namely Dinochloa scandens, Gigantochloa apus, Gigantochloa atroviolacea, Gigantochloa pseudoarundinacea, Schizostachyum iraten, Bambusa vulgaris, Dendrocalamus asper, Gigantochloa atter. Furthermore, people’s knowledge about the types of bamboo are used as material for Conservation Education that can increase knowledge, attitudes, skills, awareness and participation of the community in preserving environmental sustainability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan majalah invertebrata sebagai sumber belajar siswa pada subkonsep invertebrata dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan serta respon siswa terhadap majalah invertebrata ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model 3D (define, design, dan develop). Tahap define dilakukan beberapa analisis, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, analisis kurikulum, dan analisis materi. Tahap design dilakukan pengumpulkan data dan penyusunan storyboard sehingga menghasilkan produk awal. Tahap develop dilakukan uji validitas produk yaitu uji ahli dan uji terbatas berupa uji respon siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2018 hingga Mei 2019 di salah satu SMA di Kota Serang, Banten, Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket kelayakan majalah invertebrata dengan kriteria kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, kelayakan kebahasaan, dan kelayakan kegrafikan serta angket respon siswa. Pada penilaian ahli, kelayakan majalah invertebrata memperoleh nilai 97,5%, dan hasil uji respon siswa memperoleh nilai 98%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Hasil penilaian uji ahli dan respon siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa majalah invertebrata pada subkonsep invertebrata untuk siswa SMA kelas X sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

Some types of traditional games, such as bebentengan, have the same movements as some physical activities commonly carried out by individuals. Several studies on the effect of bebentengan on performance are still limited, so it is necessary to research the impact of bebentengan game treatment on aerobic capacity and agility. The research method used is an experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design without a control group, involving 20 teenagers from Serang City, Banten Province. The results showed that the bebetengan game treatment for three months increased the proportion of aerobic capacity by 5.27% and agility aspects by 3.28%. This study concludes that bebentengan games positively affect aerobic capacity and agility aspects in research subjects and can be used as an alternative to physical activity exercises.
