Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive integrated model which helps in explaining the impact of value chain integration’s (VCI)’s and relational capability impact on co-innovation in a network and competitive advantage. It also explores the role of value network-based co-innovation as a mediator in the relationship between supply chain integration and competitive advantage, and in the relationship between relational capabilities and competitive advantage of a housing bank sector. The study suggests that firm gains competitive advantage by utilizing value chain integration and relational capability. It is argued here that co-innovation based on value network has mediating role to create competitive advantage. The paper provides a discussion and implication on where value lies and how value is co-created in network of interdependent relationship and illustrate this by sketching a value map in network relationship and possible innovations that can be co-created in housing bank ecosystem. The study involved a single government owned bank located in different cities, therefore the results should be generalized cautiously. This paper constitutes an attempt to stimulate efforts and provide directions on the further conceptual development of value network-based co-innovation (VNBC). The newly developed measure of VNBC and CA exempt from past conceptual streams of the determinant of CA, could be used for valid measurements in future empirical studies in the field of strategic management. The paper provides a practical implications for managers to identify value and utilize new way of analyzing value-chain to create co-innovation within housing bank ecosystem. It also allows manager to practicing relational capability which gives the most impact to competitive advantage..

Abstract

Visual thinking plays an essential role in solving problems and in learning mathematics. Many students do not understand how to graphically or geometrically represent problems and solve algebra problems. Visual thinking is the ability, process, and results of creating, interpreting, using, and imagining images and diagrams on paper or with technological tools, describing and communicating information and ideas, developing ideas, and understanding improvement. This research describes students’ visual thinking ability to solve integral problems. The approach used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were three students from the Department of Mathematics Education at the State Islamic Institute of Tulungagung. The data were collected by using tests and interviews. The steps to analyze the data were categorization, reduction, exposure, interpretation, and conclusion. Based on the analysis of students’ visual thinking skills in solving integral problems, there were three levels of visual thinking: semi-local visual, local visual, and global visual. At the semi-local visual level, students could only understand algebraically, and they have not shown it graphically at all. Meanwhile, at the local visual level, they have already understood geometry as an alternative language and been able graphically represented problems or concepts, even though it was not perfectly done yet. While on a global visual level, they could perfectly visualize visual thinking indicators, understand algebra and geometry as alternative languages for problem-solving, extract specific information from diagrams, graph problems, and use them to solve problems perfectly.

Abstract

As an industrial estate company PT KIEC’s performance still very dependent on the industrial land sales. Ratio of land sales to non-land sales was around 70:30 and the ratio of land and non-land profit is 85:15. With this business profile condition, PT. KIEC faced a problem with land banking that becomes very limited. Balance of the land to be sold by December 2012 was 80 ha. This condition is feared could disrupt corporate business sustainability. PT. KIEC must immediately undertake land acquisition proces, but until the end of year 2012 the process cannot run well. It faced many obstacles such as limited land supply, land allocated as industrial area occupied by resident, the existence of land speculators, land acquisition method, ability to approach the society and limited fund. To start land acquisition, KIEC needs to analyze and decide the location and release the strategy which is considering the existing obstacles. Site location selection is done through a rating analysis of several alternative locations. The primary parameters to be analyzed are land allotment base on the spatial planning, site potential to grow, accessibility, availability of infrastructure and utilities, availability of waste water receiving bodies, land contours, distance from housing, current land use and land prices. Besides, it also conducted a brief study of the feasibility study, which calculates estimated investment cost and its returns. From the several location alternatives, it was selected two priority locations, those are Tegalratu and  Makamaja village, with potential land to be acquired are 70 ha and 40 ha respectively. But only Tegalratu location will be deployed in detail. Land acquisition strategy is prepared by considering the analysis of legal aspects, social aspects and risk analysis. Transactions of land acquisition should be done with the legitimate owners of the land, as evidenced by certificate of ownership (underlying right). In order to do land acquisition quickly, it needs to learn the characteristics of the relevant stakeholders. And to minimize the things that are not desirable in the future, it needs to conduct risk analysis to map the potential risks and its mitigation measures. By considering these things hence land acquisition is done by using the services of an arranger. Land price is estimated by considering land transaction price around the location in recent month and analyzed further by appraiser consultant To acquire the land at Tegalratu village with total area 70 ha, it needs investment cost about Rp. 176 billions and it will take time about 1 year. The executor of land acquisition is an arranger that needs to be selected further. And as a partner from the internal is Land acquisition team of PT. KIEC. Keywords: land acquisition, prudent, fair price

Abstract

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is a process by evaluating environmental impacts and ensuring that the principles of sustainability are integrated in decision making. Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) in Indonesia is regulated in a law stipulated by the government which stipulates that it is the duty of both the government and local governments to carry out both development planning and spatial planning. Salatiga City in spatial planning in accordance with the existing guidelines implements SEA, namely in making the Regional Spatial Plan and Detailed Spatial Plan. The rules and policies that are continuously updated by the government regarding the procedures for implementing SEA require understanding from stakeholders who have an interest in Policies, Plans and Programs (KRP) in spatial planning in Salatiga City, with good quality understanding by stakeholders can ensure that the stages of implementing SEA running well and integrating SEA into the KRP spatial planning that ensures environmental damage can be minimized. The purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of SEA in spatial planning in the city of Salatiga and it is hoped that it can provide alternative steps for implementing SEA which can be used as a direction in the implementation of SEA based on existing facts and conditions. The data used in this study consist of primary data and secondary data which refer to the SEA implementation tools, namely Rules and Policies, Documents and Reports, Institutional Tools, Implementation Standard Operating Procedures, Monitoring, Evaluation and Feedback. The research method used is a mixed method research by combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the implementation of SEA in the City of Salatiga in spatial planning still needs to be considered in order to run effectively, even though the resulting SEA process has adjusted to the existing regulations but still in activities such as monitoring, evaluation and feedback still need to be carried out in an effective manner. maximum because these activities constitute control over decision making in Activities, Plans and Programs in the resulting spatial planning and stakeholder understanding of the institutional instruments of SEA in Salatiga City still need to be improved because not all existing instruments are understood and are still in a category that is not all in categories really understand evenly so that steps are needed that are adjusted to the existing conditions in an effort to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of SEA so that the resulting SEA can run effectively and maximally.

Abstract

Transportation grows rapidly along with high population growth. This sector has become an essential requirement for mobility and strongly supports the economy. In the period 2012-2016 the number of residents in Yogyakarta City increased by 23,732. This is accompanied by an increase of motor vehicles as much as 90,798 units. The number of motor vehicles correlates to fuel consumption. In 2012, fuel consumption in this city was recorded 107,089,000 liters and became 115,337,000 liters in 2017. Emissions resulting from fuel combustion by motor vehicles have an impact on the environment. The transport sector is known to contribute 70% of air pollution. Air pollution affects public health because it can trigger and/or aggravate some diseases, i.e. acute respiratory infections, cough, bronchitis, pneumonia, and eye irritation. This paper was written to determine the condition of air quality in Yogyakarta City as well as the opportunity of air pollution control using environmental tax. It is described descriptively based on data, literature, legal regulations, and prior research. Several ways have been done to control air pollution from mobile sources, but have not done from the economic side. Therefore it is necessary to develop environmental economic instruments. One of them is the study of environmental tax. This kind of study is expected to be an input for air pollution control.
