Abstract

Using appropriate bedding can enhance the welfare of beef cattle. This study was designed to evaluate the daily behavior of beef cattle kept on different types of bedding. Field research was conducted over a period of two months, using eight beef cattle, which were divided into two groups based on the type of bedding used, namely straw and rubber mats. The daily behaviors observed were the duration and frequency of eating, aggressive behavior, lying down, sleeping, standing, and elimination. The observation used was an intermittent method. The first group consisted of a pen block with straw bedding, and the second group consisted of a pen block with carpet bedding. Data analysis used the t-test and analysis of variance at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that all parameters did not reveal any differences; however, sleeping behavior was higher (P < 0.05) in the straw-bedded pens, with the highest percentage of sleep occurring in the afternoon. This study concluded that both straw and rubber carpet bedding are still capable of supporting the normal expression of the main daily behaviors of cows. Both types of bedding are still suitable for use in beef cattle husbandry systems.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus sufferers have a high mortality rate and it is related to blood glucose control and lifestyle factors. Diabetes mellitus must be controlled routinely and sufferers must know the type of blood glucose control they have. Most sufferers' lifestyle factors include unbalanced diet and physical activity patterns. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and physical activity with blood glucose control in type 2 DM sufferers at Cut Nyak Dhien Hospital, Meulaboh. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional design. The number of respondents was 68 patients using total sampling technique. The data obtained was processed statistically using the chi-square formula. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the majority had the characteristics of an average age of elderly 46-55 years (45.6%), gender was predominantly female (55.9%), high school respondent education (36.8%), housewife respondent's occupation (29.4%), glucose control uncontrolled blood pressure (61.8%), unhealthy diet (76.5%), low physical activity pattern (58.8%). The results of the study explain that there is a significant relationship between diet and activity patterns and blood sugar control with p-values ​​= 0.001 and 0.029 (p-value <0.05), respectively. It is recommended that people with type 2 diabetes mellitus be given education regarding what factors can trigger an increase in blood sugar levels.

Abstract

This research aims to describe teachers' strategies in developing collaboration skills for sixth grade students in elementary schools. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 1/IV Jambi City from March 2023 to May 2023. Research data was obtained by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. Data collection aims to see teachers' strategies in developing collaboration skills for class VI students at SD Negeri 1/IV This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. The subjects of this research were teachers and students of class VI A SD Negeri 1/IV Jambi City. The object of this research is the teacher's strategy in developing collaboration skills for sixth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed using analytical techniques, the first stage of data reduction, the second stage of data presentation, and the third stage of drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the teacher's strategy in developing collaboration skills is the planning stage: (1) planning basic competencies and indicators of competency achievement (2) planning learning objectives and (3) preparing the learning media that will be used. Implementation stage (1) uses a learning model project based laerning (2) using the discussion method (3) assigning tasks/roles to the group (4). divide into small groups.

Abstract

Language skills have an important role for a person in carrying out daily activities or at work. Just like speaking, it is a normal human life activity and is important for being able to interact with other humans in life. This research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles with 4 stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The data collected in this research is data regarding the learning process using the Quantum Teaching learning model and students' speaking skills obtained through observation data collection techniques, unstructured interviews and performance. Data was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to measure changes that occurred in students' speaking skills. The results of the research show that by applying the Quantum Teaching learning model it is possible to improve students' speaking skills in learning starting from cycle 1, the first meeting obtained results with an average score of 2.5 and at the second meeting it reached 2.51. In cycle II, the first meeting obtained results with a value of 2.56 and in the second meeting, success and improvement reached an average value of 2.85.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' analysis of learning difficulties in class II multiplication material at SD Negeri 13/1 Muara Bulian. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method with the type of research being a descriptive case study. This selection approach considers that the cases under study require observation and there will also be closeness between researchers and respondents so that it will produce in-depth data. The researcher chose the type of descriptive case study research because this type of research accurately describes the problems that existed when the researcher conducted the research (currently) or an actual problem, and is based on the facts of the problem being researched so that he can find out about the difficulties of analyzing student learning at school. student bases obtained from observations and interviews sourced from class II students and teachers at SD Negeri 13\1 Muara Bulian, as well as documentation in the form of photos and sound recordings which can be used as support for data collection. This observation was carried out for about three days. Next, students are given a questionnaire, which first accounting them on how to fill it out. The results of the instrument used to detect student learning difficulties are explained using the application by looking at the profile graph. At Piaget's cognitive stage, the characteristics of grade II elementary school students have the ability to think concretely, so that elementary school students will absorb the material more if the material can be seen in real life and experience learning. This research uses the Polya procedure, which is divided into 4 stages, namely; understand the problem, solve the problem, and review the completeness of the problem solution. helping the average second grade student at SD Negeri 13/1 Muara Bulian at the stage of understanding the problem was 95.5%. The average completion at the problem solving planning stage is 97.7%. And the average difficulty at the stage of reviewing the completeness of problem solving is 79.5%. Factors causing difficulties for class II students in solving mathematical problems in multiplication material based on the Polya procedure include intellectual factors, padagogy. facilities and environment. The implication of this research is that the results of this research are expected to increase teachers' insight into the difficulties of learning multiplication in class II, apart from that this research can also be a reference source for Jain researchers who research the same topic.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the meaning of the Goyang Ngamprok danceat the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java. This research uses a qualitative research method with a Holistic Critical Approach that places three factors, namely genetic factors, objective factors, and affective factors, as a single entity as the source of meaning. The meaning of dance can be revealed by examining three issues: (1) How are the genetic factors of the Goyang Ngamprok dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java, (2) How are the objective factors of the Goyang Ngamprok dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok West Java, (3) How the Affective Factors of the Goyang Ngamprok Dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and literature review. The research results show that the Ngamprok Dance tells the story of teenage friendships among a group of young people who experience misunderstandings but eventually quickly reconcile and become close again. The music of Goyang Ngamprok dance utilizes Betawi traditional music, fan properties, and corrective makeup.

Abstract

Website koleksi langka digital perpustakaan UGM terus dikembangkan. Analisis kinerja website koleksi langka digital perpustakaan UGM penting dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui asal pengunjung, rerata jumlah kunjungan, rerata durasi waktu kunjungan, angka pentalan (bounce rate), piranti teknologi pengunjung, asal pencarian pengunjung, dan konten yang diakses pengunjung pada alamat website http://langka.lib.ugm.ac.id/. Metode web analytics dengan tools aplikasi google analytics digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama 4 tahun sejak 18 Oktober 2018 sebelum masa pandemi Covid-19, hingga masa akhir pandemi 31 Desember 2022. Analisis data menghasilkan beberapa temuan penting terkait kinerja website, perubahan perilaku pemustaka dan konten yang diakses. Kunjungan ke website mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan hingga total sejumlah 84.481, sedangkan angka pentalan (bounce rate) mencapai 0,88%. Penggunaan gadget mobile dan penelusuran secara organic search atau melalui mesin pencari (search engine) mulai mendominasi akses ke web langka. Ditemukan bahwa konten berjudul “Kitab primbon Betaljemur adammakna” meraih jumlah halaman terbanyak diakses mencapai 61.747 pageviews. Penelitian bermanfaat sebagai suatu model sistem informasi yang memantau kinerja web dan konten digitalnya yang merupakan hasil digitasi koleksi langka. Informasi empiris yang dihasilkan berguna khususnya dalam kegiatan evaluasi dan monitoring keterpakaian konten digital.

Abstract

The contamination of antibiotics in water bodies has increased significantly in recent years. Various treatments, including adsorption, have been sought, but most include expensive sorbent material with low efficiency. This research reported an alternative sorbent material; synthetic zeolite derived from coal-burning waste. Coal bottom ash was converted to zeolite via a hydrothermal technique using various concentrations of NaOH and relatively low-temperature conditions. X-ray diffractogram confirms the formation of ZSM-23 when a 1:2 coal-to-zeolite ratio was used at 95°C. The FTIR spectra also highlighted the characteristics of zeolite functional groups, such as the Si−O vibration at 999.56 cm-1 and the Al−O vibration at 799.48 cm-1. The needle-like morphology of ZSM-23 was observed during SEM-EDS analysis. When calculated using BET analysis, the synthetic zeolite also exhibited a high surface area of 433.517 m2 g-1. Upon application in a batch experiment, the maximum adsorption capacity of the zeolite for amoxicillin (AMX) adsorption in aqueous solution was found to be 673.5 mg g-1. The adsorption data fitted the Langmuir isotherm better than the Freundlich one, with a correlation factor of 0.9328. This suggested the monolayer interaction, possibly between the negatively charged zeolite surface and the NH3+ group from AMX. However, the physical adsorption mechanism with the zeolite surface may also occur due to the high surface area. Considering the low production cost, this zeolite offers high economic value as an alternative sorbent for removing antibiotics in water effluent.
