Abstract

Improper management of used cooking oil waste can cause environmental pollution and negatively impact public health. This community service aims to increase awareness and skills among SMK Tunas Bangsa students in utilizing used cooking oil waste as a raw material for environmentally friendly and economical hand soap production. The method applied is Participatory Action Research (PAR), actively involving students throughout the process, from understanding the waste impact, refining the used oil, to the practical making of paper soap. The results showed significant improvement in students’ knowledge and technical skills, along with high enthusiasm during the training. This activity successfully fostered environmental awareness and opened opportunities for recycling-based entrepreneurship. Main challenges such as limited time and equipment were identified for improvement in future programs. Overall, this community service effectively shaped environmental consciousness and practical skills in students as part of a sustainable solution.

Abstract

Moral degradation among the younger generation has become an urgent issue in Jorong Lurah Ampang, Nagari Pasie Laweh, characterized by low religious understanding and inappropriate behavior. The Malam Bina Iman dan Taqwa (MABIT) program emerged as a solution to foster the religious character of children through a community-based approach. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance participants' religiosity, worship discipline, and social skills. Activities are conducted using participatory methods, including lectures, hands-on practice, sermon training, Qur'an recitation, and recreational activities such as sports and discussions. The program results indicate significant improvements in prayer discipline, Qur'an reading and memorization skills, as well as behavioral changes among children, who have become more polite and responsible. The positive impact extends not only to the children but also to the community as a whole, fostering more harmonious social relationships and increasing parental involvement in children's religious education. With the support of the local community, the program has the potential to become a sustainable regular activity. The MABIT program demonstrates that a holistic approach rooted in religious values can be an effective model for nurturing the character of the younger generation.

Abstract

Flight delays have become a major issue in the aviation industry, impacting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This study proposes a CatBoostClassifier-based approach combined with Feature Engineering, Bayesian Optimization, and Random Over Sampling techniques to improve the accuracy of flight delay predictions. Based on model evaluation results, the use of Feature Engineering and Bayesian Optimization enhances performance compared to the baseline CatBoost model. The CatBoost+FE+Bayes combination achieves an accuracy of 83.32%, higher than the unmodified CatBoost model, which only reaches 82.95%. However, applying the Random Over Sampling technique in the CatBoost+FE+Bayes+ROS combination decreases model performance, reducing accuracy to 81.44%. Regarding other metrics, the CatBoost+FE+Bayes model demonstrates the highest F1-score of 0.62, indicating a balance between precision and recall. Additionally, the Area Under Curve (AUC) analysis reveals that CatBoost+FE+Bayes has the highest AUC value of 0.7793, followed by CatBoost+FE at 0.7768, and the unmodified CatBoost model at 0.7643. Meanwhile, the application of ROS leads to a decrease in AUC value to 0.6787. These findings suggest that utilizing Feature Engineering and Bayesian Optimization significantly enhances flight delay predictions. However, resampling techniques such as ROS do not always positively impact the tested model and can even degrade classification performance. The objective of this research is to develop a more accurate flight delay prediction model through the application of appropriate optimization techniques. The resulting model is expected to improve prediction quality and benefit the aviation industry by optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing the negative impact of delays on passengers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an accurate and explainable lung cancer risk prediction model using a TabNet approach optimized with Bayesian Optimization and applying Explainable AI (XAI) methods through LIME (Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations). TabNet was selected for its efficiency in processing tabular data and its ability to produce high-accuracy predictions. In the initial stage, the TabNet model was tested using a dataset that was preprocessed through standardization and split into training and testing sets. The performance evaluation of the model without optimization showed an accuracy of 95.83%, precision of 95.87%, recall of 95.76%, and F1-Score of 95.81%. Subsequently, Bayesian Optimization was applied using the Optuna library to find the best hyperparameter combination for the TabNet model. The optimization results demonstrated a significant improvement, achieving an accuracy of 98.33%, precision of 98.48%, recall of 98.21%, and F1-Score of 98.32%. After optimizing the TabNet model, LIME was implemented to provide interpretability for the generated predictions. LIME was used to identify the most influential features contributing to the predictions, enhancing the model's transparency in the lung cancer risk prediction process. Through the combination of TabNet, Bayesian Optimization, and Explainable AI, this study successfully developed a lung cancer prediction model that is not only accurate but also highly interpretable. This model can assist medical professionals in identifying key risk factors and providing transparent explanations for each prediction made.

Abstract

This article discusses Admiral Cheng Ho's visit to the Sundanese region, which coincided with the initial process of Islamization in West Java. This study highlights the role of Cheng Ho's expedition that is often overlooked in the spread of Islam in the archipelago, particularly in the Sunda region. The research uses historical research methods by collecting data obtained in libraries from various documentary sources such as books, journals, and relevant writings related to Islam and the global historical context. Although Admiral Cheng Ho's stopover at Muarajati Port lasted only seven days, it had a lasting cultural and religious impact. His entourage included Sheikh Hasanudin bin Yusuf Shidik who later became known as Sheikh Quro who introduced the teachings of the Qur'an to the locals. Cheng Ho's presence contributed to the development of various sectors including agriculture, trade, architecture, and cultural arts. Some of his followers even settled permanently by marrying the locals. This research contributes to filling the reference gap regarding the history of Islamization in the Sundanese region, especially the involvement of the Chinese Muslim community.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan proses administrasi BPJS pada Divisi Sumber Daya Manusia PT Perkebunan Nusantara I Regional 2, khususnya dalam pengajuan Surat Permintaan Pembayaran (SPPb) yang beralih dari manual ke sistem digital superman.ptpn1.co.id. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipatif yang dilakukan selama tiga bulan, melibatkan mahasiswa internship secara langsung dalam alur kerja pengajuan SPPb dan dilengkapi dengan komunikasi secara informal untuk memperkuat akurasi data. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa peran mahasiswa internship berkontribusi dalam mengoptimalkan dan meningkatkan akuntabilitas proses administrasi ini, secara nyata meringankan beban kerja karyawan serta memastikan kelancaran adaptasi terhadap sistem baru dan pengelolaan data yang lebih baik.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti pengaruh dari perkembangan penyebaran covid-19 di Indonesia terhadap pasar saham di Indonesia. Metode penelitian menggunakan data kasus baru dan kematian baru akibat covid-19, dan data penutupan dan Volume perdagangan IHSG yang kami kumpulkan dari periode tanggal 2 Maret sampai – 7 Januari 2021. Data tersebut kemudian kami uji menggunakan structure equation modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan bantuan aplikasi WarpPLS 7.0. Dalam penelitian ini kami temukan bahwa penyebaran Covid-19 di Indonesia berpengaruh Positif terhadap kinerja pasar saham (IHSG) di Indonesia. Kata kunci : Covid-19, Pasar Saham. ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of the spread of covid-19 in Indonesia on the stock market in Indonesia. The research method used data on new cases and new deaths due to covid-19, and the closing data and trading volume of the JCI that we collected from the period March 2 to January 7, 2021. We then tested the data using the Partial Least Square structural equation modeling (SEM). (PLS) with the help of the WarpPLS 7.0 application. We find this investigation that the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia has a positive effect on the performance of the stock market (IHSG) in Indonesia. Keywords: Covid-19, Stock Market.

Abstract

Purpose: Develop a machine learning model to predict stock market activity by finding the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) value.Design/methodology/approach: LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) is one of the machine learning techniques that can be used to anticipate traffic in realtime. Using this method can be used to analyze stock market activity that has time series data.Findings/result: This research obtained a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) value of 43.32.Originality/value/state of the art: By using the same machine learning method as the previous research, namely LSTM. The research provides more efficient results.

Abstract

This study aims to internal corporate governance literature with a bibliometric analysis approach. To carry out this analysis, the data obtained from Dimensions with certain criteria are used, then mapping and analysis are carried out using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix. From the results of this analysis, researchers found the conceptual structure and intellectual structure used in the internal corporate governance literature. Then this research also found journals, authors, organizations, and countries that have the most significant contribution in the development of internal corporate governance. From the analysis that has been done, the researcher found that there are still topics of corporate control that researchers around the world rarely touch. This paper provides an overview of how the literature on internal corporate governance and provides an opportunity for further researchers to develop research on internal corporate governance

Abstract

Hasil belajar adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki peserta didik sebagai akibat perbuatan belajar dan dapat diamati melalui penampilan peserta didik. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar yaitu melalui proses pembelajaran seperti penerapan metode pembelajaran group investigation. Group investigation (GI) merupakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif yang menekankan pada partisipasi dan aktivitas siswa untuk mencari secara mandiri materi-materi atau informasi yang akan dipelajari melalui berbagai sumber seperti internet dan juga buku-buku terkait. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu melihat apakah ada peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar siswa, bagaimana aktivitas guru dan siswa, keterampilan guru dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa; (2) aktivitas guru dan siswa; (3) keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas XI IPS 2 berjumlah 27 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar tes, instrumen pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, instrumen pengamatan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Hasil analisis data dihitung secara statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus baik secara individual maupun klasikal; (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa mengalami peningkatan kesesuaian, dari 11 aktivitas 6 aktivitas yang sesuai pada siklus I, meningkat menjadi 8 aktivitas sesuai pada siklus II, kemudian meningkat hingga 10 aktivitas sesuai pada siklus III; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan cukup baik, pada siklus I dengan perolehan skor 2,5 dengan kategori sedang, skor 3,4 pada siklus II dengan kategori baik, dan siklus III mencapai skor 3,7 dengan kategori sangat baik; dan (4) Respon terhadap pembelajaran yang berisi 10 pertanyaan sekitar 80,7% siswa menyatakan penerapan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation berbantuan media TIK sangat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi, melatih berbicara aktif, dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas XI IPS 2 MAN 4 Aceh Besar.
