Abstract

This paper explores the integration of law and human rights education in Indonesia, with a focus on the role of the National Training Institute (NTI) in advancing these principles through governmental and public service training programs. As Indonesia continues its commitment to upholding human rights, both domestically and in line with international conventions, the mainstreaming of law and human rights education plays a critical role in promoting justice, equality, and legal literacy across society. Despite legal frameworks aimed at protecting human rights, there remains a significant gap in the effective implementation of such education, particularly within public institutions and civil service training. The study assesses how the NTI has integrated law and human rights topics into its curricula, examining the effectiveness of these programs in building awareness and understanding of legal rights and responsibilities. Drawing from interviews with trainers and participants, the paper identifies both strengths and limitations of current training methodologies, highlighting the challenges of addressing complex human rights issues in a culturally diverse context. Furthermore, the research underscores the importance of law and policy reform in advancing human rights education. It argues that a comprehensive and systematic approach to training in legal rights is not only crucial for improving compliance with national and international human rights standards but is also integral to broader legal reforms aimed at enhancing public participation and accountability in governance. The paper concludes by proposing recommendations for strengthening law and human rights education within the NTI framework, advocating for reforms that expand its reach and effectiveness as a tool for both societal change and legal empowerment.

Abstract

The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (Badan Pembinaan Ideologi Pancasila, BPIP) plays a pivotal role in Indonesia’s ongoing legal reform, acting as a vital institution in promoting Pancasila—the nation’s foundational ideology. This research explores the significance of BPIP in navigating the intricate nexus between legal reform, social transformation, and ideology education. The urgency of this study stems from the pressing need to address challenges posed by globalization, which often undermines Indonesia’s ideological values, and the growing demand for a legal system aligned with Pancasila principles. By employing a socio-legal approach, this study examines BPIP’s functions, legal framework, and effectiveness in fostering ideological integrity while accommodating diverse societal transformations. The novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis of BPIP’s strategic role in aligning legal reforms with Pancasila-based values. It highlights the institution's contribution to addressing ideological fragmentation and its potential to bridge the gap between constitutional ideals and societal realities. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of integrating ideology education with legal reform efforts to ensure sustainability and inclusivity. The findings provide a critical evaluation of BPIP’s impact on Indonesia’s legal development and propose actionable strategies to enhance its role in shaping a transformative and ideology-driven legal framework. This research contributes to the broader discourse on legal reform by offering a unique perspective on the interplay between ideology and law, serving as a reference for policymakers and scholars seeking to strengthen Indonesia’s legal and ideological foundations.

Abstract

The existence of Sunan Gunung Jati Tomb in Astana Village, Cirebon Regency, has become an important pilgrimage center that provides economic opportunities for the local community. This study aims to examine the social construction and habituation of the millennial generation regarding the tomb, as well as its utilization to increase community income. A qualitative approach with phenomenological methods was used to understand the millennial generation's behavior, perceptions, and interactions with local cultural traditions. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and document studies. The results showed that the millennial generation has a high awareness of the importance of maintaining cultural traditions, which is reflected in their active involvement in traditional activities. However, the utilization of tombs to increase income is still not optimal, with the main focus on economic aspects rather than cultural preservation. Technology, particularly social media, plays an important role in promoting and maintaining cultural awareness. The findings provide guidance for village governments and related institutions to develop programs that support local cultural preservation through collaboration, education and wise use of technology.

From the search for articles on parenting patterns of dyslexic learners in the 2019-2024 time span, there were 16 articles consisting of 11 journal articles, four research reports, and one proceeding. The results showed that democratic and supportive parenting consistently improved the engagement and learning outcomes, independence, and self-confidence of dyslexic children. Meanwhile, authoritarian and permissive parenting showed mixed impacts, often impeding educational progress. In addition, this study highlights the importance of collaboration between parents, educators, and support personnel in creating an inclusive and adaptive learning environment. Abstract

This study was motivated by the potential for agency problems in education management. The objective of this study was to analyze in depth the influence of school committee involvement on the quality of managerial decisions. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method. The research population includes school principals, teachers, and school committee members in private junior high schools (SMP) in Bojongloa Kidul District, Bandung City, with a purposive sampling technique used. The research results indicate a strong positive correlation between school committee involvement and the quality of managerial decisions, with a correlation coefficient of r=0.60. In more detail, school committee involvement was found to have a positive and significant influence on improving budget transparency and accountability (regression coefficient B=0.45), reducing information asymmetry (B=0.52), and aligning goal incongruence (B=0.38). In addition, this study also identified that support from the Education Office acted as a positive and significant moderating variable, which means that this support strengthened the relationship between school committee involvement and the quality of managerial decisions. In conclusion, active involvement of the school committee is effective in reducing agency problems and directly improves the quality of managerial decisions in schools. However, the effectiveness of the school committee's role is greatly influenced by the presence of systemic support from the Education Office.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of gamification on financial knowledge through student enjoyment and student engagement. This study employed a quantitative approach and used a survey to examine the relationships between variables. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 289 students who have previously received financial education at a public university participating as respondents. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire developed based on prior studies. The results were tested using Variational Bayesian Structural Equation Modeling (VB-SEM) to analyze the influence between variables. The findings showed that gamification had a positive impact on student enjoyment and student engagement. This study demonstrates that gamification does not directly influence students' financial knowledge. Student engagement fully mediated the effect of gamification on students' financial knowledge, whereas enjoyment does not affect students' financial knowledge. This study underscores the importance of fostering student engagement in gamification to enhance financial knowledge. The implications of this research include strengthening student engagement through various strategies, such as apperception, motivation, and interaction during the use of gamification in financial education.
