Abstract

Teacher work motivation is a crucial determinant of educational quality, as motivated teachers are more likely to demonstrate creativity, commitment, and consistent performance in the classroom. In many under-resourced private junior high schools, including those in Lasem District, Indonesia, motivation remains a challenge due to limited professional development opportunities and inconsistent supervisory practices. This study aims to examine the influence of the coaching method on teachers’ work motivation in private junior high schools in Lasem District. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, the study involved 62 teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through simple linear regression. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between the coaching method and teachers’ work motivation, with coaching contributing meaningfully to variations in motivation. Teachers who experienced reflective and collaborative coaching reported greater confidence, professional commitment, and enthusiasm in their teaching roles. It is concluded that structured coaching is an effective strategy for enhancing teacher motivation, aligning with Self-Determination Theory and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, and holds potential as a strategic intervention to improve teacher performance and educational quality in resource-limited contexts.

Abstract

Improving teacher performance is a central priority in strengthening the quality of elementary education. One strategic effort in Indonesia is through Teacher Working Group (KKG) programs, which serve as collaborative and reflective forums for professional development. However, empirical evidence is still required to confirm how these activities affect teacher performance. This study aims to examine the influence of Teacher Working Group activities on the performance of elementary school teachers in Pancur District, Rembang Regency. A quantitative approach with an ex post facto design was employed, involving 117 teachers selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression with SPSS. The results revealed a very strong positive correlation between KKG activities and teacher performance (r = 0.869, p < 0.01). Regression analysis further showed that KKG activities significantly influenced teacher performance, explaining 75.6% of its variance (R² = 0.756, β = 0.942, p < 0.05). The study concludes that optimizing KKG is an effective strategy to enhance teacher professionalism and improve the quality of elementary education, particularly in semi-peripheral regions.

Abstract

Chili is a type of vegetable that is easily damaged and difficult to maintain in fresh form. The durability of fresh chilies if stored at low temperatures can last up to 14 days, but if stored at room temperature chilies only last about 2-4 days. Because of this, chili prices are always erratic, when chili prices are low, farmers will overcome losses by drying chilies using natural methods of sunlight. This method is considered less effective because it requires a large drying area and relatively long drying time. Therefore, it is necessary to manufacture and test chili drying ovens to speed up the drying process time and increase the durability of chilies. This research method focuses on the process of testing the performance of the drying oven. The test parameter used is using temperature of 70℃ with 3 variations of drying process time, namely 6 hours, 7 hours, and 8 hours to produce dry chili water content according to the standard, which is a maximum of 11%. The results of the chili drying oven research are the best drying time for 8 hours with a temperature of 70℃ which produces a water content of 9.33% cayenne pepper. In addition, the drying oven testing process resulted in a drying efficiency of 35.4%.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology, the development of electric bicycles in Indonesia is targeted to be able to produce as many as two million units in 2025. To meet increasing market demand shortly, PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri is increasing the production process by adding a conveyor machine as a tool to assist in the assembly process. electric bicycle products. Problems were found during the process of making the conveyor machine, namely the process of moving the conveyor frame was still carried out using the conventional method of being lifted by 6 workers. This causes a long time for the process of moving the conveyor frame before being assembled into 1 complete conveyor machine. The purpose of this research is to design and build hydraulic lift tables to reduce manpower and reduce the processing time for moving conveyor frames. The method used is the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method which consists of defining the problem, understanding the problem, immediate action, corrective action, and confirming the solution. The tests carried out were cycle time testing before and after using hydraulic lift tables. The results of this study are that the hydraulic lift tables can reduce the processing time from 21.02 minutes to 8.9 minutes with a percentage of 56.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a cabinet-type breadfruit chips dryer powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and to assess the dryer's characteristics, particularly by observing the temperature and relative humidity (RH) variables in the drying chamber. This characteristic data is critical for forecasting the dryer's ability during drying. The experimental approach was carried out in three stages: design, assembly, and testing without a drying load under two process conditions, charging and discharging. The testing time is 150 minutes, with the charging procedure taking 70 minutes and the discharging process taking 80 minutes. In general, the distribution of temperature and RH on each shelf in the drying chamber is consistent, both during the charging and discharging processes. In the charging-discharging process, the average temperature of the drying room is 45.39 C with a RH of 40.99%, while the plenum room average temperature is 77.02 C.
