Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning activity observed in the teaching of the Indonesian language, particularly article writing, in the first semester of Class XII Science 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin during the 2023/2024 academic year. Out of 31 students, only a few showed good learning outcomes and actively answered the teacher’s questions, while others remained passive, hesitant to ask questions, or distracted during lessons. The aim of this classroom action research (CAR) is to describe the improvement in students' article writing skills through the application of the 3M method (Meniru–Imitating, Mengolah–Processing, and Mengembangkan–Developing). The study was conducted over two cycles during the semester. The results showed that the 3M method effectively improved students' article writing skills. From Cycle I to Cycle II, there was a 12.09% improvement. Overall, from the pre-cycle to Cycle II, the percentage of students achieving scores above the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) of 75 increased by 39%. Specifically, there was a 25.81% improvement from the pretest to Cycle I and a further 12.09% increase from Cycle I to Cycle II. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the 3M method be applied to enhance article writing skills among Class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin.

Abstract

Perkembangan pemerolehan bahasa ini melibatkan berbagai skill berbahasa seperti kaidah bahasa (sintaksis), bunyi (fonetik), dan kosa kata (vocabularies/mufrodat) yang sangat banyak dan luas. Namun pada anak usia 7 tahun kelas 1 SDN 27/IX SEBAPO ada beberapa orang yang pemerolehan bahasa bagian fonemnya tidak tepat. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan diskriptif. Teknik Fokus pengumpulan data dikerucutkan dalam tahapan fonologi. Wawancara terstruktur, observasi non partisipan, dan dokumentasi diterapkan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini. Teknik Samling yang digunakan teknik rekam untuk memperoleh data berupa suara yang bersumber dari rekaman percakapan informan. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan metode padan referensial. Proses analisa data menempuh beberapa tahap seperti reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data, Triangulasi diterapkan untuk menguji validasi dan reliabilitas data. Hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa Pemerolehan bahasa anak usia 7 tahun memeiliki pemerolehan bahasa yang melibatkan berbagai skill berbahasa seperti kaidah bahasa (sintaksis), bunyi (fonetik), dan kosa kata (vocabularies/mufrodat) yang sangat banyak dan luas. Dari tiga anak yang diamati satu orang anak sudah banyak menghasilkan kata dalam setiap aktivitasnya. Dua orang anak yang belum tepat ketika mengucapkan kata perkata. Selain itu bagian-bagian tubuh yang ikut berperan saat proses pemerolehan bahasa (saat anak berbicara atau berinteraksi) pada tiga orang anak yang berumur 7 tahun di SDN 27/IX SEBAPO adalah bahwa bibir, kepala, dan tangan.

Abstract

Alat komunikasi yang paling handal ampuh dalam kehidupan bersama dalam suatu masyarakat adalah bahasa. penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis bagaimana perbedaan bahasa manusia dan hewan dalam berkomunikasi. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan tujuan ingin mengetahu perbedaan bahasa manusia dan hewan dalam berkomunikasi antar sesama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik catat data yang telah dipilah dan disimak dari berbagai literature maupun mengamati manusia dan hewan secara langsung. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tringulasi sumber data. Dalam pengumpulan data, langkah-langkah yang dilakukan peneliti adalah mencari sumber, menetapkan sumber data, menentukan objek penelitian, mencatat dan melakukan pengkodean data. Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan yang mendasar sekali antara berkomunikasi hewan dan manusia terletak pada system komunikasi dan kemampuan berbahasa.

Abstract

Sebagai masyarakat Indonesia, wajib melestarikan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional. Dalam melestarikan bahasa Indonesia, kita perlu mengetahui sejarah dan asal-usul terbentuknya bahasa Indonesia itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian ini penulis akan membahas asal usul dan perkembangan bahasa Indonesia dengan metode penelitian atau riset kepustakaan. Penelitihan pustaka atau riset pustaka ialah serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat serta mengolah bahan koleksi perpustakaan saja tanpa memerlukan riset lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Bahasa Indonesia adalah Bahasa yang berasal dari bahasa Melayu Riau. Berdasarkan sumber sejarah, pemakaian bahasa Melayu Riau ini sudah dimulai pada masa kerajaan Malayu dan kerajaan Sriwijaya. Bahasa Indonesia juga mengalami tiga fase perkembangan selama 81 tahun (1928—2009), yaitu (1) fase bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa persatuan, (2) fase bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa resmi negara (3) fase bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa internasional.

Abstract

The aim of the research carried out is to analyze how non-cognitive diagnostic assessments are carried out. This research uses descriptive analytical methods with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were through observation, questionnaires and interviews. The research subjects were class V students at SDN 160/IV Jambi City with a total of 13 students. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the planning analysis obtained data that class V students at SDN 160/IV Jambi City had sufficient development or needed to be improved as evidenced by 23% or 3 out of 13 students having very good emotional development, 38% or 5 out of 13 students having emotional development which is good, 38% or 5 out of 13 students have sufficient emotions or need to be improved. The students' learning motivation is very good, as evidenced by 30% or 4 out of 13 students having very good learning motivation, 46% or 6 out of 13 students having good learning motivation, and 23% or 3 out of 13 students having sufficient learning motivation (necessary improved. Meanwhile, the learning styles of students tend to vary, namely 3 students have a visual learning style, 4 students have an auditory learning style, and 6 students have a kinesthetic learning style.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi guru dan kesantunan berbahasa dalam meningkatkan literasi dasar siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Jambi. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya literasi dasar siswa yang meliputi keterampilan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung, serta pola komunikasi guru yang kurang efektif yang cenderung satu arah dan kurangnya kesantunan berbahasa dalam interaksi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain survei, melibatkan 15 guru SMA di Kota Jambi yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan simpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang efektif, seperti komunikasi dua arah, instruksi yang jelas, dan umpan balik yang membangun, berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan literasi dasar siswa. Pola komunikasi tersebut meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi, kepercayaan diri, dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan literasi. Selain itu, kesantunan berbahasa guru, yang mencakup penggunaan bahasa yang penuh rasa hormat, menghargai, dan sesuai dengan norma sosial, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, meningkatkan motivasi, dan menumbuhkan ikatan emosional yang positif antara guru dan siswa. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi dan kesantunan berbahasa sebagai bagian integral dari strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan literasi dasar siswa. Studi ini juga merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang pengaruh teknologi komunikasi dan peran lingkungan keluarga dalam mendukung literasi dasar siswa. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the social criticism contained in the poems "Personal State" and "Negeri Kadal" by Sosiawan Leak. The research uses a qualitative approach method. The data in this research are words, lines and stanzas which contain a form of social criticism in poetry. The data source for this research was obtained from the poetry anthology book Sajak Hoax by Sosiawan leak. Data collection techniques in this research used reading, listening and note-taking techniques. Test the validity of this research data using theoretical triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique is to carry out in-depth reading until research results are obtained. Based on the analysis and discussion carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the poems entitled The Perfect Country and the Lizard Country describe social criticism of political problems. The social criticism of political problems contained in the poem describes social criticism of various political problems that have occurred from the past to the present. Such as corruption, authoritarian power, social injustice, and manipulation of information in the political realm. Through his poetry, Sosiawan Leak also positions himself as a citizen who criticizes government policies and arbitrariness.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) cognitive category in the questions contained in the Indonesian language textbook for Class VIII Middle Schools published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Independent Curriculum 2021 Edition. This research uses qualitative research methods. The type of research used is content analysis. This research is also called analytical research, where the study is based on document analysis. The data for this research were taken from the HOTS type reading element questions found in the Indonesian Middle School Class VIII textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2021. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there are 51 questions in the Class VIII Indonesian Middle School textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Merdeka Curriculum In 2021, spread over 6 CHAPTERS, the lesson topics are HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). These practice questions have the same question characteristics and are included in the cognitive categories C4 (analyzing), C5 (evaluating), and C6 (creating). These questions are included in the realm of KKO (Operational Verbs) level 3 (reasoning). The suggestions that can be put forward from this research are that textbook writers are advised to make efforts to improve the characteristics of HOTS C4, C5 and C6 questions based on Learning Objectives (TP) and other researchers are advised to research other aspects of HOTS.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational values in the Palabe of the Bungo community and its relevance as an Indonesian teaching material in PAUD. The method used is qualitative descriptive with content analysis. The research data is in the form of words, sentences, and expressions in Palabe that contain educational value. The source of data was obtained from informants who understood and could speak Palabe well. Hermeneutic techniques are used in data collection and analysis. The results of the study found 23 Palabe of the Bungo community, including the Origin of Siri Sekapur Hamlet, Bujang Datun, Karaketu Bird, Ingenious Chicken Mother, Grandma Ale, Golden Horned Deer, Tampang Eggplant, and Tuanku Sri Titled Imam Sakti. Of the 23 Palabes, four categories of educational values were found, namely religious (74 data), moral (92 data), social (75 data), and cultural (70 data). Religious values include belief, worship, and practice; moral values include patience, tawakal, and a helping attitude; social values involve caring, togetherness, and friendship; While cultural values reflect beliefs, art, customs, and habits. From these values, 14 dominant values were found that are relevant for Indonesian teaching materials in PAUD, including faith, practice, patience, diligence, caring, brotherhood, togetherness, and customs. These values support children's language development, such as understanding commands, appreciating reading, answering questions, composing simple sentences, and enriching vocabulary. Based on the PAUD curriculum, Palabe can be used as a teaching material that supports aspects of early childhood language development, both in understanding and language expression.

Abstract

Calistung learning in low-grade primary schools plays an important role in improving students' language and communication skills. This article discusses the sequence of language learning starting from the lower primary grades, which includes reading, writing and counting. Reading is the initial stage of language learning, which includes the recognition of letter shapes, recognition of linguistic elements, and slow reading speed. Writing as a medium of student communication so that students can convey their ideas, ideas, and feelings to each other through a series of words. Counting as a very important ability for students after reading and writing, which needs to be developed in equipping students. Thus, the sequence of language learning starting from low grade elementary school has important significance in improving students' language abilities and communication skills.
