Abstract

Dengue fever or dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious diseases that caused by dengue virus, which was transmitted to human by Aedes aegypti mosquito. DHF was a major problem because it often becomes an outbreak in Indonesia one of them in Purworejo District. In Purworejo the Incidence Rate level was fluctuated, include Pangenrejo village and Mudal village. The purpose of this research is to know the differences of evironmental condition between two villages. The type of this research is observational analytic, which was using Cross-sectional study approach with comparative study method. The population of this study is 2434 household. The sampling technique was using proportionate stratified random sampling, it’s obtained 105 sample household. The analysis data was using  Chi-square test and Mann Whitney test with 95% confidence level. The result showed that there are 4 environmental variables that had the differences like container characteristics (p=0,001), the presence of mosquito larvae (p=0,001), the container index (CI), and the utilization of anti-mosquito repellent (p=0,004). While the temperature environmental factor (p=0,217), humidity (p=0,483), population density (p=0,235), used wire netting in ventilation (p=0,890), the presence of fish (p=0,069),the presence of mosquito resting place (p=578), and the presence of  mosquito breeding place (p=0,667) did not show any difference. The conclusion in this research was urban village with high IR does not mean had worse environment condition more than urban village with low IR. This was evidenced from the results of existing studies 7 variables that states do not had differences in environmental conditions due to both areas had similar environmental conditions. The community was expected to pay more attention for potential environmental condition as breeding place by doing PSN and PJR at least once a week, PJB at least once a month and using anti-mosquito to reduce the bite of adult mosquitoes.

Abstract

SARS-CoV-2 can spread rapidly and has been shown to cause a wide spectrum of severity. Vaccines exist as a preventive effort to control the transmission of COVID-19 by forming herd immunity. The presence of the COVID-19 vaccine has caused many responses in the community, both positive and negative responses. The article aim to compare risk factors affecting people’s intentions as respond to the COVID-19 vaccine in developed and developing countries. The research was carried out in January 2021 and used the literature review method by collecting and concluding data from previous research. The search for previous research articles was carried out on the Scopus, Science Direct, Clinical Key, and SpringerLink portals with keywords in the form of COVID-19, Vaccine, Acceptance, Intention, and Hesitancy. This narrative review uses 29 articles that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The intention was the lowest positive response (49.64%), and a fairly high form of doubt (71.20%) was found to be a negative response. Respondents who have high confidence in the country’s health system are at 3.05 times greater risk of having the intention to use the COVID-19 vaccine in developed countries (OR = 3.05; 1.13-4.92). Respondents over 65 years of age were at 3.65 times greater risk of having the intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in developing countries (OR = 3.65; 2.57-5.17). The COVID-19 vaccine creates positive and negative responses in the community. The intention is the lowest positive response influenced by trust in the country’s health system (developing countries) and age (developed countries).

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between quality of ANC (Antenatal Care), iron supplementation, pregnancy complications, and maternal smoking status with LBW in Central Java. This research was an analytical study used secondary data from the 2017 IDHS (Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey). The sampling design used purposive sampling.Population study was 1205 babies born in Central Java. The sample comprised 952 babies. Independent variables were the quality of ANC, iron supplementation, pregnancy complications, and maternal smoking status, with the incidence of LBW as dependent variable. Data analysis was performed by chi-square continuity correction and logistic regression. Pregnancy complications have been associated with the incidences of LBW in Central Java (p-value = 0.0001). Iron supplementation (OR = 2.474) and pregnancy complications (OR = 4.869) had an effect on the incidence of LBW in Central Java. Iron supplementation and pregnancy complications influenced the incidence of LBW in Central Java.

Abstract

The HIV virus progressively weakens the immune system, and causes malnutrition, weight loss and muscle wasting. This is due to increased body metabolism but decreased intake, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting and decreased appetite due to the drugs given, accompanied by with diarrhea for more than two weeks, as well as mouth ulcers due to fungal infections and difficulty swallowing. Based on 2021 data, there are 49 people living with HIV in the city of Blitar and the data available at health facilities is very supportive, namely that the average CD4 cell examination of PLWHA has decreased. This problem needs to be addressed immediately, because it hampers the goals of HIV AIDS management, especially the fast track 95-95-95 program, which means 95% of PLWHA know their HIV status, 95% of PLWHA take ARVs, and 95% of PLWHA have suppressed viral loads. This community service activity aims to increase the immunity of PLWHA in the greater Blitar area through consuming balanced nutrition & high in antioxidants. The target is 25 PLWHA who are actively participating in Peer Support (KDS) groups in Blitar Raya. Normal CD4 test results are 500 to 1,600 cells per mm3 of blood (cells/mm3). Of the 25 PLWHA, 18 people (72%) had a score below (500) and 7 people (28%) had a score above (500), with the lowest score being 81 and the highest result being 959. In general, they had good motivation and were taking ARV medication. routinely. The activity continued with education about how to eat healthy food properly, how to choose food ingredients high in anti-oxidants, how to cook it properly, and also taught how to practice food portioning for PLWHA
