Abstract

This study analyzes risk management based on ISO 31000 in Kara Project, an individually operated photography service. Photography work depends heavily on equipment reliability, digital data security, workflow accuracy, and direct interaction with clients, making the business vulnerable to various operational and reputational risks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through field observations and interviews with the owner to obtain a comprehensive understanding of risks encountered in daily activities. The findings reveal fifty-seven distinct risks that span across equipment performance, client coordination, financial processes, scheduling, and the personal workload inherent in single-operator businesses. The ISO 31000 framework provides a structured basis for organizing these risks, supporting more informed decision-making, and enhancing overall service consistency.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the condition of the “Biru” refill-gallon business through SWOT analysis and risk identification. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method based on observations and employee interviews. The findings show that “Biru” has several strengths, including affordable prices, a strategic location in a densely populated area, RO and UV filtration technology, and convenient delivery services. However, the business also faces weaknesses, mainly its dependence on PDAM water and electricity, as well as manual financial recording. The risk analysis indicates that the highest threats come from operational and financial factors, such as water supply disruptions, power outages, and high maintenance costs. Mitigation efforts include regular machine maintenance, preparing reserve funds, and maintaining production-area cleanliness. Overall, “Biru” still has significant growth potential by maintaining water quality, improving service, and strengthening its business management.

Abstract

YouthStruggle (YS), a micro-scale garment business established in 2023 in Jl. Mandi, Tanjungsari, faces various business risks due to market dynamics and its labor-intensive production process. This study aims to identify operational, financial, human resource, and market risks in YS and determine appropriate mitigation strategies. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through observations, semi-structured interviews with the owner, and documentation of production activities. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and a 3×3 risk matrix. The findings reveal that the most prominent risks occur in operational activities, including delays in raw material supply, machine breakdowns, and inconsistent product quality. Financial risks arise from limited capital and manual bookkeeping, while human resource risks relate to low skill levels and worker turnover. Market risks stem from changing fashion trends and competition from imported products. Most risks fall into the high category, requiring immediate mitigation. Recommended strategies include supplier diversification, scheduled machine maintenance, skills training, financial digitalization, and strengthened digital marketing.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the national economy, particularly in the creative industry sector. One MSME operating in this sector is Annisa Toys, a doll production and retail business located in Kampung Boneka Sayati, Bandung Regency. Although Annisa Toys has been established since 1UU2 and has experienced significant business growth, various business risks remain and may affect its operational continuity and sustainability. This study aims to identify the business risks faced by Annisa Toys, analyze the level of risk based on the ISO 31000 framework, and formulate appropriate risk mitigation strategies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through direct observation, interviews with the business owner, and documentation studies. The results indicate that Annisa Toys faces several major risk categories, including operational risk, financial risk, human resource risk, market risk, marketing risk, and legal risk. Operational and market risks are identified as the most significant threats, particularly those related to custom doll production processes, intense price competition, and changes in consumer behavior. The implementation of ISO 31000–based risk management is expected to help Annisa Toys minimize risk impacts, improve operational efficiency, and maintain business sustainability in the increasingly competitive doll industry.

Abstract

Character education has become an essential focus in contemporary educational systems, as schools are increasingly expected to develop students’ moral, social, and civic competencies alongside academic achievement. This study investigates the effectiveness of interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning (PBL) as an instructional approach for strengthening student character education in formal school settings. Employing a mixed-methods, quasi-experimental design, the research involved an experimental group receiving interdisciplinary PBL instruction and a control group taught using conventional methods. Quantitative data were collected through character education questionnaires, learning outcome assessments, and 21st-century skills scales administered before and after the intervention, while qualitative data were obtained through classroom observations, student reflection journals, and semi-structured interviews. The findings indicate that students who participated in interdisciplinary PBL demonstrated significant improvements in key character dimensions, including responsibility, collaboration, creativity, independence, and civic awareness, compared to students in the control group. Additionally, interdisciplinary PBL was found to support academic learning and the development of critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Qualitative findings further revealed that students perceived interdisciplinary projects as meaningful and engaging learning experiences that encouraged ethical behavior, teamwork, and reflective thinking. The study concludes that interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning is an effective pedagogical strategy for integrating character education within academic instruction. By aligning character development with interdisciplinary learning objectives, educators can foster holistic student development and better prepare learners for the social and ethical challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry plays a crucial role in supporting national economic stability but faces substantial challenges due to raw material price volatility and heightened financial risk, particularly in the post COVID 19 period. Under these conditions, capital structure and profitability become key determinants of firm value. However, prior empirical studies report inconsistent findings, creating a research gap within the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure, measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and profitability, proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), on firm value, represented by Price to Book Value (PBV), during the 2020–2024 period. A quantitative approach was employed using panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model on nine firms selected through purposive sampling, based on secondary data from annual financial statements. The results indicate that DER has no significant effect on firm value, while ROA exerts a positive and significant influence. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect firm value, with a coefficient of determination of 48.63%, supporting signaling theory by highlighting profitability as a primary signal for investors amid economic uncertainty.ABSTRAKIndustri food and beverage memiliki kontribusi penting terhadap perekonomian nasional, tetapi menghadapi tekanan akibat fluktuasi harga bahan baku dan peningkatan risiko keuangan, khususnya setelah pandemi COVID-19.
