Abstract

Plastic waste detection in indoor environments is an essential challenge in the development of intelligent cleaning systems and robotic automation. Small and medium-sized plastic debris is often difficult to identify using conventional methods due to variations in color, shape, and reflectance. This study proposes an image-processing-based approach that combines thresholding and contour detection techniques to improve the accuracy of detecting plastic objects on floor surfaces. The initial stage involves converting the image into a color space that is more stable under varying illumination, such as HSV or grayscale, to reduce the influence of lighting intensity. Subsequently, adaptive thresholding is applied to separate plastic objects from the background by using dynamic threshold values tailored to the image’s conditions. The segmentation results are refined through morphological operations such as opening and closing, enabling the removal of small noise and enhancing the clarity of object boundaries. The core stage of the system employs contour detection to extract object shapes and areas, allowing the identification of plastic waste based on size, perimeter, and specific geometric characteristics. Experiments were conducted under different lighting conditions and various floor types, and the results demonstrate that the proposed approach successfully detects plastic debris with satisfactory accuracy and relatively fast processing time. Therefore, this method is suitable for implementation in robotic cleaning systems, indoor cleanliness monitoring devices, and other computer vision applications requiring real-time and efficient object detection.

Abstract

This study discusses real-time object color detection using the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) method in the Python programming language. A common problem in RGB-based color recognition is its high sensitivity to changes in light intensity, resulting in unstable detection results. Therefore, the HSV color space is used, which better aligns with human perception of color and is able to separate color (hue) information from lighting (value). By utilizing the HSV color space, the system can distinguish colors based on hue angles without being significantly affected by lighting levels. This approach is important because in real conditions, environmental lighting often changes, such as indoors or outdoors during the day and evening. The use of Python and the OpenCV library also facilitates the implementation of color detection algorithms with efficient computation time and interactive visualization results in real time. The research method was conducted experimentally using a laptop camera as video input, then each image frame was converted to the HSV color space. Next, a masking process was performed by determining the lower and upper limits of certain colors so that colored objects could be recognized. This stage is important to ensure that the system can recognize specific areas in the image that contain the target color. By creating an HSV range (threshold) for each color, the system will only display areas that match those criteria. This technique is often used in object tracking and color segmentation applications in the field of computer vision. The results of the study show that the system is able to accurately detect red, green, and blue objects with a success rate above 90% under normal lighting conditions. This system can be applied in robotics, surveillance systems, and computer vision-based industrial applications. This success demonstrates the great potential of the HSV method in various fields. In robotics, for example, color detection is used for autonomous navigation or path tracking. In surveillance systems, color can be an indicator of certain things, such as identifying dangerous objects. Meanwhile, in industry, this system can be used to separate products based on color in automated production lines.

Abstract

OpenCV is a widely used library in the field of image processing and computer vision. Combined with Python's flexibility, OpenCV provides an extensive range of functions for efficient image processing, modification, analysis, and visualization. This paper aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of image processing using Python and OpenCV, including image reading, color conversion, edge detection, and image manipulation such as resizing and cropping. Furthermore, this study discusses basic analysis techniques like color distribution histograms and feature detection. By presenting these concepts, the paper aspires to help readers understand the foundations of digital image processing and explore the potential applications of OpenCV in practical fields such as pattern recognition, object detection, and image segmentation.

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends and characteristics of scientific publications related to Islamic education in the context of digital technology and artificial intelligence. The approach used is a literature analysis based on Scopus-indexed publications through a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected using a search string combining the terms Islamic education with digital technology, ICT, and artificial intelligence, conducted on November 19, 2025. A total of 214 documents published during the period 2009–2025 were analyzed based on annual publication trends, geographic distribution of authors, subject areas, and document types. The results show a very significant increase in publications in the last three years, indicating a strengthening academic attention to the integration of technology in Islamic education. Indonesia and Malaysia are the main contributors to publications, indicating Southeast Asia's strategic role as a center for the development of technology-based Islamic pedagogy. In terms of subject areas, studies are dominated by social sciences and humanities, while contributions from computer science are relatively limited, indicating the lack of technical research related to the development of artificial intelligence models based on Islamic values. The dominance of journal articles also indicates a gap between theoretical development and practical implementation in educational institutions. These findings confirm that opportunities for research on Islamic education in the digital and artificial intelligence era are still very open, both in the conceptual, pedagogical, ethical, and technical realms, so that a more applicable research agenda based on Islamic values ​​is needed to ensure the use of technology is in line with the goals of Islamic education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi mobile mendorong penerapan sistem digital pada layanan pendakian gunung. Di Sumatera Utara, pengelolaan layanan pendakian seperti penyediaan informasi, pemesanan jasa pemandu, penyewaan perlengkapan, dan perencanaan pendakian masih dilakukan secara konvensional dan terpisah sehingga kurang efisien dan berdampak pada pengalaman pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang User Interface (UI) dan User Experience (UX) aplikasi layanan jasa pendakian gunung berbasis mobile menggunakan metode Design Thinking. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan permasalahan pengguna. Tahap pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode usability testing dengan pendekatan Single Ease Question (SEQ) terhadap sepuluh responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Design Thinking menghasilkan rancangan UI/UX yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan pengguna, dengan alur navigasi yang sederhana dan penyajian informasi yang terintegrasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan seluruh tugas memperoleh nilai rata-rata di atas 5, yang mengindikasikan bahwa purwarupa aplikasi dinilai cukup mudah hingga mudah digunakan. Meskipun demikian, masih diperlukan penyempurnaan pada aspek tampilan antarmuka dan penyajian informasi. Rancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan aplikasi layanan pendakian gunung berbasis mobile di Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan pilar fundamental atau pokok perekonomian Indonesia, yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto dan penyerapan tenaga kerja. Salah satu UMKM yang berpotensi untuk berkembang adalah Pabrik Opak Ibu Iin, yang beroprasi di sektor industri makanan olahan tradisional. Namun, seperti banyak UMKM lainnya, strategi promosi yang digunakan masih bersifat tradisional, mengandalkan promosi konvensional atau media sosial sederhana, sehingga membuat keterbatasan informasi dan jangkauan pasar. Hal ini menyebabkan potensi produk lokal seperti opak belum optimal dikenal masyarajat luas. Sehingga website multimedia memiliki potensi untuk menjadi media promosi yang efektif karena dapat meyajikan informasi produk dengan cara interaktif, meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna, dan memperluas jangkauan pasar. Metode penelitian ini mengadopsi model waterfall, sebuah pendekatan sistematis yang mirip dengan aliran air terjun, di mna setiap fase perancangan dan pengembangan harus diselesaikan secara berurutan sebelum melanjutkan ke fase berikutnya. Model ini mencakup tahapan seperti analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, dan pengujian, memastikan alur kerja yang terstruktur, sehingga cocok untuk proyek dengan spesifikasi yang jelas dan stabil. Dengan demikian, setiap Langkah harus tuntas untuk menjamin kualitas hasil akhir. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah website multimedia interaktif yang dirancang khusus untuk mempromosikan produk Pabrik Opak Ibu Iin, seperti opak tradisional. Website ini memanfaatkan teknologi yang sesuai, serta elemen multimedia seperti video, gambar produk, dan fitur interaktif untuk meningkatkan aketrlibatan pengguna. Dengan desain responsive, situs ini dapat diakses secara online melalui https://www.opaksingkong.online/ pada perangkat mobile dan desktop, membantu pabrik memperluas jangkauan pasar serta memperkuat branding melalui konten yang menarik dan informatif.

Abstract

Vehicle license plate detection is a crucial computer vision task for traffic monitoring, automated parking, and vehicle identification. This study evaluates the performance of a YOLO-based license plate detection system implemented in Python and executed on Google Colab to ensure reproducibility. A public dataset of vehicle images with variations in lighting conditions and viewing angles is used for testing. Performance is assessed using precision, recall, F1-score, mAP@0.5, and mAP@0.5:0.95. The results show a precision of 0.7653 and a recall of 0.6809, yielding an F1-score of 0.7206. The mAP@0.5 reaches 0.7776, while the mAP@0.5:0.95 drops to 0.3572. As a contribution, this work provides a simple and replicable baseline evaluation workflow for YOLO-based license plate detection using standard object-detection metrics. The large gap between mAP@0.5 and mAP@0.5:0.95 indicates that the model often detects the presence of license plates but struggles to localize them precisely under stricter IoU thresholds, highlighting localization sensitivity for small objects under real-world variations. These findings can guide future improvements through dataset diversification, augmentation, and higher-resolution training to enhance bounding box accuracy.

Abstract

Bu Lela Catering is one of the UMKM that provides catering services for events such as weddings, birthdays, or office meetings. However, Bu Lela Catering currently relies solely on conventional promotional methods, namely word of mouth. Given this situation, there is a need for a promotional medium that can convey information more effectively and efficiently. Through the use of website-based promotional media, it is hoped that Bu Lela Catering will be able to expand its promotional reach and present product information in a structured manner. The designed website will include various important information such as business profiles, menu lists, catering package options. Bu Lela Catering's website system uses WordPress and was developed using the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. In general, the design and development of Bu Lela Catering's promotional website are excellent in terms of system and make it easier for customers to access information.

Abstract

This research discusses the design and creation of a promotional service website by implementing the waterfall method. The waterfall method was chosen because its linear and sequential approach is suitable for projects with clear objectives. The process begins with an analysis phase to identify features such as profile pages, service galleries, contact information, and location map integration. And design, followed by implementation using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Testing covers functionality and responsiveness, as well as maintenance. The result is a website that effectively promotes welding shop services. The conclusion shows that the waterfall method demonstrates a strong structure that reduces the risk of errors, although it is not flexible in terms of changes, and this website supports the digital promotion of welding shops.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology requires Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) to adapt to the implementation of web-based systems in order to improve efficiency and service quality. Warung Bakso Bacok Sarina is one of the culinary businesses that still implements a manual ordering process, which often causes problems such as long queues. This study uses the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance to reduce the risk of errors in website design. The research was conducted to design a web-based online ordering system to make it easier for customers to place orders and improve the operational efficiency of Warung Bakso Bacok Sarina.
