Abstract

Plastic waste detection in indoor environments is an essential challenge in the development of intelligent cleaning systems and robotic automation. Small and medium-sized plastic debris is often difficult to identify using conventional methods due to variations in color, shape, and reflectance. This study proposes an image-processing-based approach that combines thresholding and contour detection techniques to improve the accuracy of detecting plastic objects on floor surfaces. The initial stage involves converting the image into a color space that is more stable under varying illumination, such as HSV or grayscale, to reduce the influence of lighting intensity. Subsequently, adaptive thresholding is applied to separate plastic objects from the background by using dynamic threshold values tailored to the image’s conditions. The segmentation results are refined through morphological operations such as opening and closing, enabling the removal of small noise and enhancing the clarity of object boundaries. The core stage of the system employs contour detection to extract object shapes and areas, allowing the identification of plastic waste based on size, perimeter, and specific geometric characteristics. Experiments were conducted under different lighting conditions and various floor types, and the results demonstrate that the proposed approach successfully detects plastic debris with satisfactory accuracy and relatively fast processing time. Therefore, this method is suitable for implementation in robotic cleaning systems, indoor cleanliness monitoring devices, and other computer vision applications requiring real-time and efficient object detection.

Abstract

This study discusses real-time object color detection using the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) method in the Python programming language. A common problem in RGB-based color recognition is its high sensitivity to changes in light intensity, resulting in unstable detection results. Therefore, the HSV color space is used, which better aligns with human perception of color and is able to separate color (hue) information from lighting (value). By utilizing the HSV color space, the system can distinguish colors based on hue angles without being significantly affected by lighting levels. This approach is important because in real conditions, environmental lighting often changes, such as indoors or outdoors during the day and evening. The use of Python and the OpenCV library also facilitates the implementation of color detection algorithms with efficient computation time and interactive visualization results in real time. The research method was conducted experimentally using a laptop camera as video input, then each image frame was converted to the HSV color space. Next, a masking process was performed by determining the lower and upper limits of certain colors so that colored objects could be recognized. This stage is important to ensure that the system can recognize specific areas in the image that contain the target color. By creating an HSV range (threshold) for each color, the system will only display areas that match those criteria. This technique is often used in object tracking and color segmentation applications in the field of computer vision. The results of the study show that the system is able to accurately detect red, green, and blue objects with a success rate above 90% under normal lighting conditions. This system can be applied in robotics, surveillance systems, and computer vision-based industrial applications. This success demonstrates the great potential of the HSV method in various fields. In robotics, for example, color detection is used for autonomous navigation or path tracking. In surveillance systems, color can be an indicator of certain things, such as identifying dangerous objects. Meanwhile, in industry, this system can be used to separate products based on color in automated production lines.

Abstract

The SME partner faced significant issues with manual stock recording, resulting in discrepancies, delayed reporting, and input errors. This community service activity aimed to implement a mobile-based inventory management system to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency. The methods included needs assessment, system design, cloud-based mobile deployment, training for 12 employees, and evaluation using the Stock Accuracy Rate and transaction recording time. The results showed an increase in stock accuracy from 83% to 96%, a reduction in stock discrepancies from 17% to 4%, and a decrease in recording time from 9 minutes to 3 minutes per transaction. The system enabled real-time reporting and automatic minimum stock notifications. The implementation significantly enhanced operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Pelayanan publik yang berkualitas merupakan faktor penting dalam membangun kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap lembaga peradilan. Mahkamah Syar’iyah Kutacane sebagai lembaga peradilan agama memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan pelayanan hukum yang profesional, transparan, dan berkeadilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan Mahkamah Syar’iyah Kutacane menggunakan pendekatan data mining dengan algoritma C4.5 serta mengidentifikasi atribut pelayanan yang paling dominan memengaruhi kepuasan masyarakat. Data penelitian berasal dari Survei Kepuasan Masyarakat (SKM) sebanyak 178 responden yang terdiri atas sembilan atribut pelayanan, yaitu persyaratan, prosedur, waktu pelayanan, biaya, produk layanan, kemampuan petugas, perilaku petugas, penanganan pengaduan, serta sarana dan prasarana. Data dibagi menjadi 144 data training dan 34 data testing. Proses pengolahan data dilakukan melalui tahapan preprocessing, transformasi, pembentukan model decision tree, dan evaluasi kinerja model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut sarana dan prasarana merupakan faktor paling dominan dalam menentukan kepuasan masyarakat dengan nilai Gain Ratio tertinggi sebesar 0,6160. Model klasifikasi yang dibangun menghasilkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 88,24%, yang menunjukkan kinerja sangat baik dalam memprediksi tingkat kepuasan masyarakat. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa algoritma C4.5 efektif digunakan sebagai alat bantu pengambilan keputusan berbasis data dalam evaluasi dan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik di lingkungan peradilan agama.

Abstract

Generally the use of conventional methods in data compression can not overcome the performance of data manipulation in saving memory usage and speed in data communications. Using a new manipulation method that applies the Huffman compression algorithm and the Half-Byte alphabet can compress data from the user interface before it is stored in the repository, so performance in manipulating the data will be better. With the new method applied to an application software using programming language. Which of the two types of algorithms has a larger ratio (ratio) as a benchmark in the performance of data manipulation. With good performance, it will be able to save the use of memory space on the repository and fast in transmitting data in communicate between the user interface with the repository in the data manipulation.

Abstract

Program Kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) adalah program yang bertujuan untuk mendorong mahasiswa untuk menguasai berbagai keilmuan yang akan membantu mereka masuk ke dunia kerja di masa depan. Program ini juga dikenal sebagai Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU). Untuk memastikan ketersediaan data dan informasi saat menyimpan, mendistribusikan, dan pengambilan keputusan stategis berdasarkan informasi yang diolah oleh sistem informasi MBKM, sistem informasi sangat diperlukan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk membangun sistem informasi Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang dapat mengolah data MBKM siswa untuk digunakan sebagai sumber informasi yang bermanfaat dalam proses pengambilan kebijakan manajemen dan strategis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Waterfall untuk mengembangkan perangkat lunak. Hasilnya adalah sistem informasi Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan mendukung pencapaian IKU.

Abstract

This study aims to map the trends and characteristics of scientific publications related to Islamic education in the context of digital technology and artificial intelligence. The approach used is a literature analysis based on Scopus-indexed publications through a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected using a search string combining the terms Islamic education with digital technology, ICT, and artificial intelligence, conducted on November 19, 2025. A total of 214 documents published during the period 2009–2025 were analyzed based on annual publication trends, geographic distribution of authors, subject areas, and document types. The results show a very significant increase in publications in the last three years, indicating a strengthening academic attention to the integration of technology in Islamic education. Indonesia and Malaysia are the main contributors to publications, indicating Southeast Asia's strategic role as a center for the development of technology-based Islamic pedagogy. In terms of subject areas, studies are dominated by social sciences and humanities, while contributions from computer science are relatively limited, indicating the lack of technical research related to the development of artificial intelligence models based on Islamic values. The dominance of journal articles also indicates a gap between theoretical development and practical implementation in educational institutions. These findings confirm that opportunities for research on Islamic education in the digital and artificial intelligence era are still very open, both in the conceptual, pedagogical, ethical, and technical realms, so that a more applicable research agenda based on Islamic values ​​is needed to ensure the use of technology is in line with the goals of Islamic education.

Abstract

OpenCV is a widely used library in the field of image processing and computer vision. Combined with Python's flexibility, OpenCV provides an extensive range of functions for efficient image processing, modification, analysis, and visualization. This paper aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of image processing using Python and OpenCV, including image reading, color conversion, edge detection, and image manipulation such as resizing and cropping. Furthermore, this study discusses basic analysis techniques like color distribution histograms and feature detection. By presenting these concepts, the paper aspires to help readers understand the foundations of digital image processing and explore the potential applications of OpenCV in practical fields such as pattern recognition, object detection, and image segmentation.
