Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multicultural values embedded in the fiqh curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah. As a key component of Islamic education, fiqh plays an essential role in shaping students' attitudes and behaviors toward cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. By incorporating values of tolerance, respect for differences, and promoting harmonious coexistence in a plural society, fiqh can contribute to fostering a more inclusive worldview among students. The research utilizes a qualitative approach, specifically content analysis, to examine the fiqh curriculum documents implemented in Madrasah Aliyah across various regions. The findings reveal that the curriculum includes several multicultural values, such as the importance of respecting diversity and promoting peaceful coexistence. However, the study also identifies areas where the implementation of these values could be strengthened, particularly in the alignment of teaching materials with the realities of a multicultural society. Furthermore, there is a need for more contextual and interactive teaching methods to enhance students’ engagement with these values. This research offers recommendations for the further development of the fiqh curriculum, aiming to make it more responsive to the dynamic multicultural landscape in Indonesia. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on integrating multicultural education into religious studies, providing insights for educators and policymakers.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze measures for preventing violence based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82 of 2015 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Acts of Violence in Educational Institutions. In addition, this study examines efforts to build a culture of peace within Islamic educational institutions. The method employed is a literature review with data collected through documentation. Meanwhile, local governments are responsible for establishing prevention task forces, fostering collaboration, and monitoring policy implementation. On the other hand, Islamic educational institutions play a role in creating a peaceful environment, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention, and providing accessible service information, such as websites, emails, and contact numbers. Islamic educational institutions are also expected to cultivate a culture of peace through acknowledgment of mistakes, tolerance, apologies, cooperation, mutual trust, appreciation for environmental preservation, and accountability for actions taken.

Abstract

Pancasila, as the foundation of the state and the way of life of the Indonesian nation, plays a central role in maintaining unity and cohesion amidst diversity. The values contained within the five pillars of Pancasila Belief in the One and Only God, Humanity, Unity, Democracy, and Justice serve as a strong foundation for building national commitment. The first pillar, Belief in the One and Only God, emphasizes the importance of spirituality and tolerance among religious communities. The second pillar, Just and Civilized Humanity, highlights respect for human rights and individual dignity. The third pillar, the Unity of Indonesia, promotes an inclusive nationalism amidst cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. The fourth pillar, Democracy Guided by the Inner Wisdom of Deliberations among Representatives, strengthens democratic values rooted in deliberation and consensus. The fifth pillar, Social Justice for All Indonesian People, underscores the importance of equity and justice in various aspects of community life. The implementation of these values not only serves as an ethical foundation for individuals but also as a guideline for public policymaking. Commitment to Pancasila as the nation's ideology acts as a bulwark against the threats of national disintegration and the challenges of globalization. Therefore, strengthening the understanding and application of Pancasila's values becomes a collective responsibility of all elements of society to safeguard the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This study recommends integrating Pancasila values education across various sectors, both formal and informal, to reinforce national commitment amidst the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity. However, this diversity often presents challenges in maintaining unity. This study aims to identify strategic efforts that can be made to improve unity amidst religious diversity. The method used is a literature review. The results of the study indicate that interfaith dialogue, early tolerance education, strengthening the role of religious institutions, and campaigns through social media are effective steps in strengthening unity. In addition, collaboration in cross-religious social activities has also been proven to be able to build harmonious relationships. Thus, a joint commitment is needed from all elements of society and government to continue to encourage the creation of strong harmony amidst the nation's plurality.
