Abstract

Women’s empowerment in the Dotuman Angon livestock group through the theoretical framework of Naila Kabeer. The study is grounded in the understanding that empowerment is not solely an economic process but a transformation of power relations shaped by social and cultural structures. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review and contextual analysis, this study explores how access to resources, decision-making capacity, and meaningful achievements are experienced by women within the livestock group. The findings indicate that while development programs may increase productivity and household assets, these outcomes do not necessarily translate into genuine empowerment for women when agency and control over decisions remain limited. The study highlights the importance of applying a multidimensional and gender sensitive approach in community empowerment programs to ensure that women are not merely beneficiaries of development initiatives, but active agents in shaping their own lives.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of each actor involved in realizing health services so as to be able to find out each actor's perspective regarding health services through the Desa Siaga in Watupute Village. Apart from that, it is necessary to determine the actions of each actor in order to improve the health service system in Watupute Village. This research method is descriptive-qualitative by determining the research sample using purposive sampling, data collection through observation, document study, interviews with several actors involved in this program, and data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research were able to identify the actors involved in health services in Watupute Village, namely, the Health Departement of East Kolaka, Desa Siaga cadres, Watupute village government, and the Watupute village community. Each actor has a role in developing health services through Desa Siaga. However, there are still actors who cannot carry out their roles, so achievements in program implementation are not optimal. In determining actions, the Health Office of East Kolaka has determined regulations that must be obeyed in implementing the Desa Siaga, the Watupute Village Government has provided a budget that comes from village funds, the Desa Siaga cadres have carried out their duties in implementing the Desa Siaga, and the community has participated in the success of the village program. Standby. Based on the results of this research, the researcher suggests equalizing perceptions between actors so that there is a understanding and health services in Watupute village can run effectively.

Abstract

Literacy is now beginning to become a discourse in various media, both print and social media. This happened since Anies Baswedan, when he was Minister of Education and Culture, launched the School Literacy Movement (GLS). Trends in global currents and the Indonesian economy are also entering the era of the creative industry revolution, an era of revolution that relies heavily on the products of the creative industries. Creative industries can be defined as industries based on expertise, talent and creativity; such as fashion, crafts, publishing (books and print media), music, film and advertising. Literary works and creative industries are both based on talent and creativity and are equally cultural. The difference is, the process of creating literary works is more oriented to the interests of the literary (literary), while the creative industry is more oriented to the interests of the market. Local Wisdom is considered so interesting to be the main topic raised in literacy development because through learning in the classroom, students will indirectly get to know the local wisdom of each region. This paper seeks to reveal the steps that can be taken so that the culture of literacy or GLS can still go hand in hand with the development of the existing creative industries. The method used is certainly descriptive and through a qualitative approach. In conclusion, the Indonesian literacy movement still needs to be promoted, and Indonesian language learning in tertiary institutions still needs to be improved, so that people become more proficient in Indonesian and continue to love Indonesian as a means of communication, cultural imaging, and strengthening the national identity. The low ability of students in the field of poetry indicates the need to empower poetry writing for students. This article aims to illustrate how to empower the literacy culture of students writing poetry in the face of the era of the creative industry revolution.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the concept, main objectives, characteristics, and application of the regressive method in history learning, as well as its theoretical and practical implications, which can be an alternative in improving students' understanding of history as an event. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data obtained through a literature review. Analysis was conducted on literature sources relevant to the discussion, in the form of articles, books, and educational documents. This approach was chosen because it is relevant in exploring contextual understanding of the regressive method in history learning. The regressive method in history learning emphasizes how the historical thinking process can begin from contextual conditions and then trace how historical roots move regressively or backward. This approach is relevant to the discussion that builds conditions between present reality and past dynamics that will encourage students to think critically, reflectively, and contextually. The contribution of the regressive method within the framework of this transformation of history learning can support quality education, namely meaningful, adaptive, relevant, and contextual learning, which can be a valuable investment for students, namely historical reasoning skills and building awareness of social dynamics. This article describes how the implementation strategy in history learning with potential and challenges that can be considered in combining learning models with the selection of methods and their implementation as one of the current history learning strategies. The results of the analysis provide an understanding that the regressive method has a role in improving the quality of history learning in line with 21st-century education, namely, high-level thinking skills and relevance to real life. Furthermore, this regressive method is part of the supporting aspects in achieving global development goals, namely sustainable quality education.

Abstract

Adolescent pregnancy is associated with increased risks of obstetric complications (anemia, preeclampsia, and delivery problems) and adverse perinatal outcomes such as low birth weight, prematurity, and neonatal death. Specific health interventions, including nutritional supplementation, counseling, health education, and group based antenatal care (ANC), have been proposed to mitigate these risks. This study aimed to identify and analyze the impact of specific health interventions including nutritional supplementation, counseling, group ANC, and health education on obstetric and perinatal outcomes in adolescent pregnancies through a systematic literature review (SLR). This review followed the PRISMA 2020 framework, encompassing four stages: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Articles were searched from Scopus and Google Scholar using defined keywords. Of 241 records identified, 41 full-text articles were reviewed, and 7 met the inclusion criteria (quantitative studies or systematic reviews evaluating specific interventions among pregnant adolescents). Nutritional supplementation, particularly iron and folic acid, effectively reduced anemia and improved birth weight. Counseling and health education enhanced adolescents’ knowledge, attitudes, and ANC compliance. Group ANC models reduced low birth weight and preterm birth while promoting social support. Specific health interventions significantly improve obstetric and perinatal outcomes among adolescent pregnancies. Further experimental studies with rigorous designs are needed to strengthen causal evidence.

Abstract

Breast milk production plays a vital role in supporting infant growth and development, yet many postpartum mothers face challenges during the early lactation period. In Indonesia, exclusive breastfeeding coverage remains suboptimal at 52.5% (Riskesdas), with insufficient milk production being one of the contributing factors. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of rolling massage and warm compress in enhancing breast milk production. A quasi-experimental design was used with intervention and control groups, each consisting of 10 purposively selected respondents. The intervention was provided once daily for three consecutive days, 15 minutes per session, and breast milk volume was measured using the pumping test method. Results showed a significant difference in mean breast milk production between the intervention group (63.1 ml) and the control group (50.3 ml). The increase in the intervention group was 24.9 ml compared to 12.1 ml in the control group. A paired sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), confirming the effectiveness of rolling massage and warm compress in improving breast milk production. These findings suggest that incorporating simple, non-invasive techniques such as rolling massage and warm compress into maternal health programs may help promote the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
