Abstract

The human being as a counselor and the target of counseling in Islamic education is an important topic in the context of moral and spiritual edification in Muslim society. Islamic educational counselling is a process aimed at helping individuals to understand, overcome, and develop themselves holistically, based on Islamic values and principles. As counselors, humans have a key role in guiding individuals to spiritual and psychological harmony. They must have a good understanding of Islamic teachings, ethics, and morality in order to provide appropriate guidance to clients. Counselors also need to have empathy, sensitivity, and good listening skills to help clients cope with problems and challenges in their lives. On the other hand, humans are also the target of counseling in Islamic education. Individuals in Muslim societies often face high moral, ethical, and spiritual pressures. Therefore, they need guidance and counseling to maintain balance in their lives, to understand Islam's teachings better, and to deal with the various conflicts and dilemmas that may arise in everyday life. In conclusion, in the context of Islamic education, humans play a dual role as counselors and counseling targets. They must understand Islamic values and have good guidance skills to help individuals overcome problems and spiritual harmony. Islamic education based on these principles can make a positive contribution to shaping strong character and morality in Muslim society.

Abstract

The shift in values in social, cultural, and educational life is a phenomenon that has become the focus of attention in modern society. This article examines the significant changes in values that lead to cultural and educational transformation. The study uses a descriptive-analytical approach to describe the impact of value shifts in diflerent contexts. In social life, the shift in values is reflected in changes in the attitudes and behavior of society related to norms, ethics, and morality. Globalization, increasingly sophisticated technology, and communication have aflected how values are adopted and interpreted by individuals and groups. These changes can create imbalances in social relationships, create conflicts of values, and change the dynamics of interpersonal interactions. In a cultural context, the shift in values also aflects the identity and tradition of a group. Traditional values often compete with more individualistic and consumerist modern values. It could threaten the sustainability of local cultures and stimulate the search for new identities that reflect changes in the patterns of society's values. In education, value shifts have a significant impact on curricula, teaching methods, and educational goals. Modern education tends to emphasize technical capabilities and global understanding, while moral and character aspects are often overlooked. This can lead to a generation that may have extensive knowledge, but a lack of strong values. Therefore, the shift in values in social, cultural, and educational life poses a serious challenge inining valuable values within societies. Intelligent change eflorts in curriculum development, the promotion of positive values, and intercultural dialogue can help overcome conflicts of values and promote better understanding between diflerent generations. Awareness of this shift in values is vital to ensuring that societies can maintain valuable cultural and educational sustainability in the face of changing times.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between the concept of morality in Islamic education and the implementation of value-based education within it. By understanding how these values are applied in the educational curriculum, it is expected to encourage the younger generation to develop good character and noble morals. Misunderstandings and poor implementation of moral education can lead to moral decline among youth, as reflected in various social issues, such as student brawls and other negative behaviors. Therefore, in Islamic education, an approach that integrates character education with religious teachings is considered essential. Inclusive teaching methods certainly require the development of strategies that can enhance students' moral and social awareness. Moreover, contributions from various parties, such as parents and the community, play a significant role in supporting this educational process. By integrating character education values into every subject, it is hoped that a learning atmosphere can be created that supports the holistic development of noble character. This study concludes with recommendations to enhance the practice of value-based education, including increasing parental and community involvement in supporting a positive educational environment for students.

Abstract

Educational tools play a strategic role in supporting the success of Islamic education. Educational tools are not limited to material aspects such as facilities and learning media, but also include non-material aspects such as social interaction, teacher authority, and educational punishment. This study aims to examine the concept of Islamic educational tools and to describe the forms of material and non-material educational tools from the perspective of Islamic educational thought. This research employs a library research method by analysing books and academic journals relevant to the research topic. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analysed using data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification stages. The findings indicate that Islamic educational tools encompass all facilities, actions, and situations that are consciously utilised to achieve the objectives of Islamic education, namely forming individuals who are faithful, pious, knowledgeable, and possess noble character. Islamic educational tools are classified into two categories: material tools, including educational facilities and learning media, and non-material tools, including social interaction, teacher authority, and educational punishment. Both types of educational tools complement each other and play an essential role in shaping students' holistic personality.

Abstract

Students are a central element in Islamic education, which is aimed at the comprehensive development of the whole person. In educational studies, student development is understood through various paradigms, including nativism, which emphasises innate factors; empiricism, which emphasises the influence of the environment and experience; and convergence, which combines these two factors. On the other hand, Islamic education has a unique concept of human nature, namely fitrah as a sacred basic potential bestowed by Allah SWT since birth. This article aims to examine the paradigm of student development based on the perspectives of nativism, empiricism, and convergence, as well as to analyse its relevance to the concept of fitrah in Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach through library research by analysing relevant books, journal articles, and scientific sources. The results show that each paradigm makes an important contribution to understanding student development, but has limitations when viewed in isolation. The concept of fitrah in Islamic education complements these three paradigms by emphasising that student development is the result of the interaction between innate potential, environment, and guidance from divine values. These findings confirm that Islamic education should ideally integrate all these aspects in a balanced manner so that the development of students' fitrah can take place optimally, in intellectual, moral, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

The Islamic educational environment plays a strategic role in shaping the personality, character, and religious beliefs of students. The educational environment is not only understood as the physical space where the learning process takes place, but also encompasses non-physical dimensions such as values, culture, traditions, and a religious atmosphere that influence the continuous development of individuals. This article aims to conceptually examine the concept of the Islamic educational environment and its various types based on the perspective of Islamic education. The study focuses on the concept of the three centres of education, namely the family environment, school or madrasah, and community. The family environment is understood as the main foundation in shaping children's morals and character, schools play a role as formal institutions that develop the intellectual, moral, and spiritual aspects of students, while the community becomes a social space for the actualisation of Islamic values in real life. The results of the study show that these three educational environments are closely related and must work together harmoniously so that the objectives of Islamic education can be achieved optimally. A conducive and religious Islamic educational environment is expected to produce a generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, noble in character, and responsible in social life.

Abstract

Modern life is often filled with challenges and distractions that can test a person's faith and piety. Therefore, implementing faith and piety in everyday life is very important. This article discusses how individuals can integrate the values of faith and piety in the context of modern life. Faith is the foundation of belief in God and religious teachings. In the midst of modern life which is busy and full of pressure, maintaining a strong faith requires high awareness and commitment. One important step is to involve yourself in regular worship such as prayer, reading the Koran, and dhikr. Additionally, interacting with religious communities and getting guidance from clerics can help strengthen faith. Taqwa, on the other hand, reflects a person's piety and devotion to God. In a modern context, piety can be realized through good actions, high work ethics, and behavior based on moral principles. Maintaining integrity in business, doing good to others, and avoiding sinful acts are part of implementing piety in everyday life. The importance of combining faith and piety in modern life is to create harmony between spirituality and world life. It helps individuals cope with stress, live life meaningfully, and carry out their responsibilities with integrity. Thus, the implementation of faith and piety in modern life is the key to achieving spiritual and material prosperity in this increasingly complex world.
