Abstract

This study uses quantitative research methods to establish correlations between multiple variables to examine the impact of performance, information, and communication on community satisfaction. The findings indicate that performance partially influences community satisfaction, with a t-value of 5.791, which exceeds the critical t-table value of 1.985, and a significance level below 0.05 (p = 0.000). However, the information variable shows no significant influence on community satisfaction, as the t-value of 1.575 is below the critical t-table value of 1.985 at a significance level of 0.119 > 0.05. Similarly, the communication variable also fails to impact community satisfaction significantly, with a t-value of 1.118, below the critical t-table value, and a significance level of 0.266 > 0.05. Conversely, when considering the simultaneous influence of performance, information, and communication on community satisfaction, the results reveal a significant effect, with an F-value of 50.727 > the critical F-table value of 2.70 at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Performance and communication are influential factors in satisfaction, while the information variable does not demonstrate a significant influence. This research concludes that while performance and communication positively affect satisfaction, information does not significantly influence satisfaction levels among East Simeulue and Simeulue Aceh Regency residents.

The Sustainable Food Home Area Program (KRPL) is an activity that encourages residents to develop a small-scale food crops, animal husbandry and fisheries by utilizing their home gardens. Since community activity are restricted during Covid-19, the economy become unstable and decrease the ability to meet food needs. This activity aims to re-empower the community by introducing a verticulture technique utilizing bamboo and used bowl that are easily found in the village and supporting the KRPL program. The verticulture technique is suitable for application to vegetable plants, including mustard greens, kale, chilies, eggplants and onions. This activity was carried out in Gapura Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The method used is direct counseling and training in making verticulture media from bamboo. Through this activity, the Gapura village community has additional knowledge and stimulation in creativity to maximize the use of existing land potential to create food resilience especially vegetables and support welfare.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to integrate environmental education into school curricula to enhance environmental literacy, awareness, and sustainable behaviors among students and teachers. Research Design and Methodology: The study employed a multi-phase methodology, including needs assessment, curriculum development, teacher training, student engagement activities, mentoring, and monitoring. The project was implemented through comprehensive workshops for teachers, hands-on experiential learning activities for students, and continuous mentoring and assessment. Findings and Discussion: Results from pre- and post-intervention assessments indicated significant improvements in environmental knowledge and awareness among participants. Students displayed a deeper understanding of environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, and exhibited positive shifts in attitudes and behaviors towards environmental conservation. Teachers reported increased confidence and competence in integrating environmental topics into their teaching practices, facilitated by professional development sessions covering contemporary environmental issues and pedagogical strategies. Implications: The study found that experiential learning activities, such as nature walks and school gardens, were particularly effective in fostering student engagement and retention of environmental knowledge. Additionally, the involvement of local environmental organizations and community members played a crucial role in reinforcing positive behavioral changes through social learning and community involvement. However, challenges such as limited resources and variability in teacher preparedness were identified, suggesting the need for ongoing support and resource allocation.

Abstract

Purpose: This study assesses the impact of sustainable development training on community resilience marketing, focusing on enhancing participants' understanding of sustainability and its application in marketing strategies. Research Design and Methodology: A qualitative literature review method is employed, systematically gathering, evaluating, and synthesizing existing research on sustainable development training. The review critically examines academic sources to identify key themes and patterns related to the influence of training on marketing practices aimed at supporting community resilience. Findings and Discussion: The findings indicate that sustainable development training significantly enhances participants' knowledge of sustainability principles, leading to the adoption of green marketing, ethical advertising, and community-driven initiatives. These practices contribute to community resilience by addressing local environmental and social challenges and fostering local engagement. Training also promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing, creating networks that support continuous improvement and adaptation in marketing strategies. Implications: The study highlights social networks' transformative potential in enhancing community empowerment but underscores the necessity for targeted interventions to mitigate issues related to digital access, online safety, and the ethical use of data. These insights are valuable for policymakers, technology developers, and educators aiming to create inclusive digital environments that support community growth and individual empowerment.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores advancements in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on how AI and VR technologies can enhance long-term emotional engagement, cultural inclusivity, and accessibility. The research seeks to fill gaps in understanding HCI's emotional and social dimensions by addressing how these technologies affect users' cognitive and emotional well-being over time. Research Design and Methodology: The study uses a qualitative systematic literature review to analyze critical academic and industry research on AI, VR, and HCI. Through a thematic analysis, it identifies trends and challenges in designing more inclusive, emotionally responsive, and culturally adaptive systems. Findings and Discussion: The study reveals that while AI and VR technologies improve user engagement, there are significant gaps in cultural inclusivity and emotional responsiveness, especially for users with disabilities. It also proposes theoretical models integrating emotional and cultural factors into HCI design, enabling adaptive and personalized user experiences. Implications: This research shows the need for HCI technologies to prioritize emotional engagement and inclusivity. Practically, these findings can guide the development of more adaptive AI and VR systems that cater to diverse user needs, offering better accessibility and user satisfaction. Future research should explore empirical applications of these theoretical models in specific industries, such as healthcare and education.

Abstract

Mining potential in Maluku Province is the largest contributor to nickel mining in Indonesia with nickel reserves of 39% and copper of 92.48% of the national total. Even though nickel and copper are potential resources in this region, they do not yet have production results that have added value and are highly competitive. Now various investors from China are investing in North Maluku with the above potential mining resources. In fact, China is now interested in building a nickel factory in North Maluku, specifically in North Halmahera. The issuance of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining is a transformation of mineral and coal policy relating to the management and utilization of mineral and coal in Indonesia. The consequence of the amendment to Law Number 4 of 2009, namely the elimination of regional government authority over the management of mineral and coal mining, was taken over by the central government, which applies nationally. The method used in this research is the Hybrid Method as an applied method. The limitation of this research is that it does not technically examine the ecological, economic and social modeling of mining studies in North Maluku. The recommendation of this research is that further in-depth review is needed from a legal, social, ecological and economic perspective to map and review Law No. 3 of 2020, the formation of a cross-sectoral task force to monitor the impact of the implementation of Law No. 3 of 2020 on the environmental and social sectors. and economics.
