Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition toward adulthood. One of the key public health concerns for the government is the prevention of anemia in adolescent girls. Iron deficiency anemia is a global issue. The prevention and management of anemia in adolescent girls are carried out through the administration of one iron supplement tablet per week, making adherence to iron tablet consumption crucial in reducing iron deficiency rates. This study aims to describe the adherence of adolescents in consuming iron supplement tablets in Dukuh Village. Method: This research is a quantitative study. The population consisted of 261 respondents, with a sample of 73 adolescent girls selected using a purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted in Dukuh Village, Bayat, Klaten, from July 1, 2024, to July 30, 2024. Results: The most common age group among the respondents was early adolescence (ages 12–15), with 33 respondents (45.2%), while the least common age group was late adolescence (ages 19–21), with 10 respondents (13.7%). The majority of respondents had a high school education (41.1%), while the least had only an elementary school education (6.8%). Most respondents were categorized as non-adherent, with 43 respondents (58.9%) failing to comply with iron tablet consumption. Conclusion: The findings of this study in Dukuh Village indicate that the majority of adolescent girls fall into the non-adherent category, with 43 respondents (58.9%) not complying with iron tablet consumption

Abstract

The Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) does not differentiate between ethnic groups or nationalities, ensuring that all individuals are treated equally before the court, whether in the District Court, High Court, or Supreme Court. Suspects or defendants are no longer viewed as "objects" but as "subjects" who possess rights and obligations, including the right to claim compensation or rehabilitation in cases of wrongful arrest, detention, prosecution, or legal judgment. The reality that many suspects/defendants are not accompanied by legal counsel during criminal proceedings raises significant questions about why the provisions of KUHAP are not adhered to. This thesis aims to analyze and elaborate on the regulations within KUHAP concerning the obligation of legal counsel to assist suspects/defendants in court proceedings and to analyze and elaborate on the rules that should govern the implementation of the obligation for legal counsel in criminal cases. The type of legal research employed in this work is normative legal research. This research is prescriptive in nature, aiming to provide a careful, comprehensive, and systematic description and analysis of the characteristics of individual or group behavior. Legal assistance by counsel is a fundamental right that must be fulfilled in every legal process, as stipulated in Article 56 of the Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Ironically, the hegemony of scientific studies tends to focus more on the subordination and compliance of citizens to the law rather than the subordination and compliance of law enforcement officials to the law itself. This obligation not only aims to protect the rights of suspects but also to ensure that the principles of justice and the protection of human rights are upheld within the criminal justice system in Indonesia.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the relationship between investment methodology, working capital, and income in the context of recessionary uncertainty. It specifically explores the role of government regulations in advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 9, focusing on industrial innovation, infrastructure, and resilience. Method: The investigation employs an explanatory and scientific approach, integrating theoretical and empirical analysis to assess the interactions between investment strategies, working capital, income, and government regulations during economic downturns. Data are analyzed to evaluate the mediating effects of government regulation on these variables.  Results:  The findings indicate that investment strategies targeting critical infrastructure foster durable economic expansion, enhancing resilience during recessions. Flexible working capital management mitigates market instability risks. The results reveal that investment strategies and income significantly influence government regulation, while enterprise capital does not. Additionally, investment strategies and venture capital impact recession risks indirectly through government regulation, which also mediates the influence of income on recession risk.  Novelty: This study uniquely highlights the mediating role of government regulation in linking income and recession risk, as well as its impact on investment strategies and venture capital. By aligning these insights with SDG No. 9, it contributes to the broader understanding of how economic policies and private sector strategies can collaboratively enhance resilience during economic downturns.

Abstract

With the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 07 of 2022 which fills the legal vacuum resulting from the judicial review of Government Regulation Number 99 of 2012 concerning the Second Amendment to Government Regulation Number 32 of 1999 concerning the Requirements and Procedures for the Implementation of the Rights of Correctional Inmates, it has become something that attracts attention. Because of course the mechanism for reducing the sentence thanks to the judicial review has changed. The main question of this study is whether information about the new sentence reduction mechanism has reached the prisoners. Meanwhile, it is generally known that the mechanism for reducing the sentence is not easy for prisoners to understand. Because in fact the reduction of the sentence is the right of all prisoners as regulated in the law. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine how the mechanism for reducing the sentence in Class II A Bengkulu Prison works. This study is a qualitative study with an empirical legal approach. The results of the study show that the sentence reduction mechanism that applies according to the regulations is not effective in making prisoners get their rights, namely a reduction in sentence. In conclusion, the lack of understanding of prisoners regarding the mechanism for reducing the sentence creates a great potential that prisoners can fail to obtain their constitutional rights, namely a reduction in sentence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the GeoGebra application on students’ motivation and conceptual understanding of mathematics in the topic of flat-faced solid shapes. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes divided into an experimental group, which used GeoGebra in learning, and a control group, which applied conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through conceptual understanding tests, motivation questionnaires before and after treatment, and classroom activity observations. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in mathematics conceptual understanding with an average n-gain of 0.65 (medium to high category), compared to the control group, which only achieved an n-gain of 0.41 (low to medium category). Additionally, the motivation of students in the experimental group increased significantly, with 78% of students reaching a high motivation category, while the control group had only 42%. Observations revealed that GeoGebra encouraged students to actively discuss, explore, and interact with the learning material. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of GeoGebra is effective in improving both motivation and conceptual understanding in mathematics learning on the topic of flat-faced solid shapes. This study recommends educators to integrate visual technology-based learning tools to enhance the quality of mathematics teaching and learning processes

Abstract

This study aims to improve elementary school students’ numeracy skills through the implementation of game-based learning at SDN Kebon Pala 04 Pagi. Numeracy is one of the essential basic competencies in education; however, results from the National Assessment indicate that Indonesian students, particularly at the elementary level, still demonstrate low numeracy proficiency. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Educational games such as number puzzles, interactive quizzes, and both digital and manual counting games were used to support the learning process. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ average scores, from 60.5 in the pre-test to 72.3 in the first cycle, and 81.7 in the second cycle. The percentage of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) also increased substantially from 40% to 75%. Moreover, game-based learning positively impacted students’ motivation and attitudes toward mathematics. The reflection process in each cycle enabled continuous refinement of learning strategies to make them more adaptive and effective. Therefore, game-based learning proves to be an enjoyable, interactive, and effective alternative strategy for enhancing numeracy skills among elementary school students

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) have a crucial role in encouraging innovation and increasing product competitiveness, especially in the small and medium industry (IKM) sector. This research aims to examine the application of science concepts in the process of innovation of IKM products, identify the challenges faced, and explore the potential for collaboration between academics and industry in strengthening the innovation ecosystem. The results of the study show that a number of SMEs have begun to integrate basic principles of chemistry, physics, and biology in the production process, which has an impact on improving product efficiency, quality, and sustainability. However, there are still significant obstacles, such as limited access to experts, laboratory facilities, and a lack of science-based training. These findings underscore the importance of policy support and synergy between the education sector, government, and industry to create an inclusive and sustainable science-based innovation ecosystem. With the right approach, the application of science in the SME sector can not only increase the competitiveness of local products, but also accelerate the transition to a knowledge-based economy
