Abstract

Bacterial biofilm formation represents a major challenge in clinical settings, as it contributes to persistent infections and resistance to conventional antimicrobial treatments. This study investigates the effectiveness of blue laser therapy combined with AgNPs-CR in inhibiting biofilm formation by Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, common infection agents, in a four-group sample set. Silver nanoparticles, known for their antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, are widely used in biomedical devices. First, the control group (T0) included samples without laser irradiation. Second, the Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus groups (A1 and A2) were irradiated with a 405 nm diode laser at various exposure times and silver nanoparticle concentrations. Third, the E. coli and S. aureus groups (A3 and A4) were also irradiated with the 405 nm diode laser under varying durations and concentrations of silver nanoparticles. In groups A2 and A4, the bacteria were treated with the photosensitizer AgNPs-CR, incubated for 30 minutes, and then irradiated for 90, 120, 150, and 180 seconds. The results were analyzed using a two-way factorial ANOVA and a Post-hoc Tukey test, with a significance level of p < 0.05. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) significantly inhibited bacterial biofilms in samples with irradiation, with the most significant reduction observed at a concentration of 2 mM and 180 seconds of irradiation, compared to samples without irradiation. Staphylococcus aureus was the most susceptible to AgNPs, showing a high biofilm inhibition percentage of 94.82% at 180 seconds of irradiation with a 2 mM concentration. Fluorescence microscope analysis revealed the presence of bacterial DNA corresponding to 180 colonies.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini meneliti penerapan metode debat aktif untuk membangun sikap demokratis siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SMAN 2 Boyolali. Penelitian dua siklus ini melibatkan siswa kelas XI-7 dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen, yang dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan keefektifan metode debat aktif. Rata-rata sikap demokratis siswa meningkat signifikan dari 50% pada pra-siklus menjadi 62,5% pada siklus pertama lalu 87,5% pada siklus 2, dengan indikator toleransi terhadap perbedaan mencapai 100%. Partisipasi siswa juga naik dari 68,75% menjadi 93,75%. Peningkatan ini didukung oleh pendekatan terstruktur, pengalaman belajar nyata, dan peran guru sebagai fasilitator. Tantangan seperti ketimpangan partisipasi dan manajemen waktu berhasil diatasi melalui pelatihan debat, pembagian peran, dan evaluasi berbasis umpan balik. Kesimpulannya, debat aktif efektif membentuk sikap demokratis ketika didukung perencanaan matang, topik kontekstual, dan lingkungan inklusif. Implikasinya, guru disarankan mengadopsi metode interaktif ini untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang partisipatif. Penelitian lanjutan dapat mengembangkan modul debat berbasis isu lokal agar pendidikan demokrasi tidak hanya teoritis tetapi juga melatih keterampilan sosial siswa sebagai warga negara. Abstract

Permintaan produk obat nyamuk bakar di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan signifikan seiring tingginya kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya penyakit yang ditularkan nyamuk. PT FNM sebagai produsen obat nyamuk menghadapi tantangan dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku Tepung Batok akibat fluktuasi permintaan bulanan yang menyebabkan risiko overstock maupun out of stock. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode Silver Meal dalam mengoptimalkan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku dan menghitung total biaya yang dikeluarkan perusahaan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan mengolah data historis pemakaian bahan baku tahun 2024. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari bagian PPIC perusahaan. Metode Silver Meal digunakan untuk menentukan ukuran lot pemesanan yang optimal dan frekuensi pemesanan yang efisien dengan mempertimbangkan biaya pemesanan dan penyimpanan. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Silver Meal menghasilkan efisiensi yang signifikan, dengan total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp336.523.489 selama satu tahun. Metode ini terbukti dapat menurunkan total biaya dibandingkan dengan sistem pemesanan sebelumnya yang bersifat intuitif. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode Silver Meal dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku di PT FNM dan dapat dijadikan sebagai strategi pengendalian persediaan yang lebih akurat dan ekonomis dalam menghadapi permintaan yang fluktuatif.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media using the Genially platform with a Game-Based Learning approach and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. This research employed a research and development method based on the Sukmadinata model, which consists of three stages: preliminary study, product development, and product testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, surveys, and learning achievement tests. The research subjects included material experts and media experts for validation, 12 students of class VIII B in the limited trial, and 32 students of class VIII A in the field trial. Media feasibility was determined based on expert validation and students’ responses. The results indicate that the Genially-based learning media was rated “Very Feasible” by material experts with a score of 93 and by media experts with a score of 85. Students’ responses showed a mean score of 85.5, categorized as “Very Good.” The effectiveness analysis using N-Gain based on pretest and posttest scores yielded a value of 70.05%, indicating a “Moderately Effective” level. These findings confirm that Genially-based game-based learning media can enhance students’ engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the lifeboat winch maintenance program and identify internal and external factors that affect its implementation. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach through observation of the physical condition of the equipment, interviews with the crew, and review of logbooks. The results of the study show that the lifeboat winch maintenance program on KM Sultan Hasanuddin is not yet effective. The condition of the equipment shows degradation, such as rust on the wire rope and blurred nameplates, while the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) documentation is not available. Safety drills are conducted, but passenger involvement is not guaranteed, thereby reducing collective preparedness. Internal factors that influence this include the competence of the crew, the availability of spare parts, the consistency of the maintenance schedule, and the safety culture. External factors include the corrosive marine environment, ship operator policies, budget constraints, and weak external supervision. The implications of these findings emphasize the need for the implementation of a documented PMS, consistent preventive maintenance, and integrated drills involving all parties on board. For maritime educational institutions, this research also serves as a basis for the development of practical learning modules on lifeboat winch maintenance to support the formation of a safety culture from an early stage.

Abstract

The Activity Morning Program in the form of Selasa Literasi is a school literacy innovation designed to foster a literacy-oriented school environment in vocational high schools. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Activity Morning Program, analyze its impact on students’ literacy habits and attitudes, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation at SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method involving students, literacy teachers, librarians, and school management as research participants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validity ensured through method triangulation, source triangulation, and member checking. The findings indicate that the Selasa Literasi program has been implemented consistently and in accordance with established guidelines. The program is conducted every Tuesday for 40 minutes before formal lessons begin and includes various literacy activities such as reading, writing summaries, composing short opinions, creating concept maps, and practicing numeracy skills. The program has a positive impact on improving students’ reading habits, short writing skills, learning readiness, and the development of a more literate school environment both physically and socially. Teachers play a crucial role in maintaining discipline, providing guidance, and enhancing the quality of literacy activities. However, challenges remain, particularly related to limited reading materials and uneven student motivation across classes. Overall, the Activity Morning Program through Selasa Literasi is effective as a literacy habituation strategy and has strong potential to be further developed and replicated in other vocational high schools. ABSTRAKProgram Activity Morning dalam bentuk Selasa Literasi merupakan salah satu inovasi literasi sekolah yang dikembangkan untuk membangun budaya literasi di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keterlaksanaan Program Activity Morning, menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kebiasaan dan sikap literasi siswa, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya di SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian meliputi siswa, guru pendamping literasi, pustakawan, dan pihak manajemen sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dengan validitas data dijaga melalui triangulasi metode, triangulasi sumber, dan member checking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Selasa Literasi berjalan secara konsisten dan sesuai dengan pedoman yang telah ditetapkan sekolah. Program ini dilaksanakan setiap hari Selasa selama 40 menit sebelum pembelajaran dimulai dan melibatkan aktivitas membaca, menulis ringkasan, menulis opini, pembuatan peta konsep, serta latihan numerasi. Selasa Literasi berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kebiasaan membaca, kemampuan menulis singkat, kesiapan belajar siswa, serta terbentuknya lingkungan sekolah yang lebih literat baik secara fisik maupun sosial. Peran guru pendamping terbukti sangat penting dalam menjaga disiplin, memberikan bimbingan, dan meningkatkan kualitas kegiatan literasi. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan kendala berupa keterbatasan variasi bahan bacaan dan motivasi siswa yang belum merata. Secara keseluruhan, Program Activity Morning melalui Selasa Literasi efektif sebagai strategi pembiasaan literasi dan berpotensi dikembangkan serta direplikasi di SMK lain.
