Abstract

Crickets are a promising alternative source of animal protein due to their high levels of amino acids, fatty acids, and protein (61.58%). These nutrients have applications in the pharmaceutical industry, human food, bird feed, and as a substitute for livestock feed, particularly in the form of cricket flour. The Kalung cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) is notable for its rapid growth rate and efficient feed conversion. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of diets combining concentrate with cassava leaves of different maturities on the performance of Kalung crickets (Gryllus bimaculatus). A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed, consisting of three treatments with five replications each. The treatments were R1= concentrate+young cassava leaves, R2= concentrate+mature cassava leaves, R3= concentrate+cassava leaf stems, with a combination ratio of 1:1.5. The parameters observed include feed consumption, body weight gain, egg production, feed conversion, mortality, and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results showed that no significant differences among treatments in feed intake, weight gain, and mortality. However, significant differences were observed in egg production (0.022±0.011 g/individu/day) and feed conversion (1,88±0.95) with the R1 treatment showing the most favorable results. A diet combining concentrate with young cassava leaves significantly improves the reproductive performance and feed efficiency of Kalung crickets. This combination is recommended for enhancing productivity in Gryllus bimaculatus farming systems.

Abstract

Abstract

The research conducted on experiential education in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) offers an in-depth perspective on how Western pragmatic approaches can be integrated in education rooted in Islamic values. Using phenomenological methods, the research successfully illustrates that experience-oriented education not only enriches the teaching and learning process but also facilitates students' intellectual and spiritual growth. Through deductive and inductive approaches, this study reveals that teachers play a key role as facilitators in designing dialogic and interactive learning experiences, which ultimately shape students' character and critical thinking skills. The implementation of experiential education in PAI is expected to create a dynamic learning environment where science and Islamic values are combined, ensuring that education is not only limited to the transfer of knowledge but also the formation of a complete and mature person.

Abstract

Indonesia is recognized as one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, including in its diversity of stingless bee species. Diversity analysis is essential as a key consideration in optimizing outcomes in stingless bee cultivation practices. Morphometric analysis represents one of the methods used to assess stingless bee diversity; however, its application remains limited in Lampung Province. This study involved the collection of samples from seven different colonies across two regions in Central Lampung Regency. Morphometric measurements were conducted on eight specific parameters. The resulting morphometric data were then compared to published measurements of 20 reference species. Based on these comparisons, the morphometric characteristics of the stingless bee samples from Central Lampung indicate a close resemblance to species within the genera Heterotrigona, Tetragonula, and Geniotrigona.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of synthetic phonics method in learning how to pronounce or pronounce vocabulary in English and students’ perception of using the synthetic phonics method in learning how to pronounce vocabulary in English. This type of research was quasi – experimental with a quantitative approach. In this research, purposive sampling was carried out, and the author used two classes as research sample, namely VII – 8 as the experimental class and VII – 9 as the control class, totaling 30 students each at SMPN 9 Tarakan. Data were analyzed using T – test. The results of the data analysis described that the research result in the experimental class before the students were given treatment illustrated that the average score was 61.03. After receiving treatment, there was a significant increase in the average score of students 84.36; compared to the control class before treatment, the students’ average score was 64.50, and after being given treatment, there was no significant increase in the average score; 65.43. Another component examined in this research was perception, which was very important in synthetic phonics because it influenced how each learner experienced and achieved their goals. Data demonstrated that students’ perceptions of using the Synthetic Phonics method in learning process at SMPN 09 Tarakan were in the ‘positive’ category with a percentage of 85%. The synthetic phonics method provided significant progress toward students’ mastery of word pronunciation. This research has implications for integrating methods in English language learning, and the use of synthetic phonics methods has a positive impact on pronunciation teaching.

Abstract

Sebelas Maret University Surakarta declared itself a Pancasila Fortress Campus, one of its objectives being to prevent the recurrence of events that undermined the Pancasila ideology in the past, including radicalism and intolerance; this was announced when UNS commemorated Pancasila Day on 1 October 2018. As a consequence of this declaration, UNS has constructed six places of worship located in a single area, namely: Mosques, Catholic churches, Christian churches, Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, and Chinese temples. This study uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques using document studies or documentation, namely from books and articles related to the challenges of Pancasila as the ideology and foundation of the Republic of Indonesia.  In efforts to strengthen itself as a Pancasila Fortress Campus, there are several programs and activities that have been and continue to be implemented, including Pancasila Education lectures; Citizenship Education; and the establishment of the Pancasila Implementation Study Centre (PSPP). The challenges faced by UNS as a Pancasila Fortress Campus include individualism, market liberalism, radicalism, religious fundamentalism; the weakening of the practice and actualisation of Pancasila; and the lack of Pancasila role models.
