Abstract

Public services in Katemas village require innovation to be more optimal in serving the community. with this background, the researcher created an innovation called the WhatsApp Bot Service System. The purpose of creating this system is to make Katemas village services more efficient and optimal. This study uses the Service Learning (SL) method. Seifer defines Service Learning as a teaching approach that integrates community service activities with academic learning objectives. The results of the study are an application that is useful for public services in Katemas village.

Abstract

Penguasaan Bahasa Inggris sejak dini menjadi krusial di era globalisasi. Namun, pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di tingkat sekolah dasar seringkali menghadapi tantangan terkait motivasi dan metode yang kurang menarik. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) bertema "Let's Learn English the Fun Way" ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan dasar Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas 3 dan 4 di SDN Dinoyo 1 Malang melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Metode pelaksanaan PkM melibatkan sesi ice breaking, permainan edukatif seperti Spelling Activity, Matching Word and Picture, dan Learning and Playing to Make To Be. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 7 Mei 2025 dan diikuti oleh 52 siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif yang tinggi dari siswa. Terjadi peningkatan ketertarikan siswa terhadap Bahasa Inggris dan tercipta suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan. Para guru juga memberikan apresiasi positif terhadap metode yang diterapkan. Kegiatan ini berhasil membangun kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dasar, serta memberikan dampak positif pada motivasi belajar siswa. Disarankan agar kegiatan serupa dapat dilanjutkan secara berkelanjutan dengan variasi materi yang lebih kaya.

Abstract

The title of this research is An Analysis of Moral Values and Character Education Depicted in the Film Wonder. This research addresses the issue of declining moral values among youth, as reflected in the increasing prevalence of bullying and intolerance in educational settings. This research aims to examine how the 2017 film Wonder can be utilized as a medium for teaching moral values and character education. Specifically, the study investigates how selected scenes, character dialogues, and interactions portray ethical principles and personal virtues. Descriptive qualitative method and content analysis are used as a research method; the data were categorized and interpreted through Eyre’s framework, which outlines eleven core moral values and Lickona’s theory of character education, which emphasizes the development of virtues such as empathy, courage, and respect in formal learning contexts. Data were collected by analyzing the film’s script and narrative structure, identifying key moments where moral and character values were evident. The analysis reveals that Wonder frequently portrays values such as respect, self-confidence, and love, with empathy emerging as the most dominant character trait. These findings suggest that films like Wonder can be effectively integrated into classroom instruction to foster moral reasoning, empathy, and emotional intelligence, thus supporting the development of ethically aware and socially responsible learners.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Landungsari on the topic of changes in living beings by implementing the cooperative learning model Student Active Learning (SAL). The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, which include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. In the pre-cycle stage, the class average score was still at 65.00 with a low mastery level of 14.71%. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after implementing the SAL model. The average score increased from 69.70 in the first cycle to 84.42 in the second cycle, with mastery learning rising from 29.42% to 76.47%. Furthermore, applying the SAL model enhanced students’ active participation in learning, particularly in group discussions and presentations. In conclusion, the SAL learning model improved learning outcomes and students’ critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. Therefore, this model can be considered a relevant strategy for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum to enhance elementary school learning quality.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent to which students’ English proficiency levels improve over the course of the program as measured by the British Council EnglishScore (BCES), and to evaluate the effect size of the observed change in test scores. The study employed a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. English proficiency score was assessed through pre- and post-tests using the BCES platform. The pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. A paired samples t-test was conducted to determine statistical significance, and Cohen's d was calculated to assess the effect size of the intervention. The findings demonstrate a statistically significant improvement in students’ EnglishScore performance following the intervention. However, the effect size indicates that the gain was modest. While students showed progress on average, the improvement was not dramatic, suggesting that the impact of the short-term intervention was limited. These results highlight the importance of sustained instructional design and the need for realistic expectations when implementing short-term English language programs. Future research should consider longer-term interventions, incorporate control groups for comparison, and include qualitative data to better understand learners' experiences and engagement with digital proficiency assessments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and measure the impact of smart paperboard learning media integration on student learning outcomes in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang. Both students and teachers utilized this learning media during the teaching and learning process. A quantitative research method with paired t-test analysis was employed in this study. Data was collected through pre-test, post-test, and observation towards the students of Class X AB at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang as research participants. Before conducting the paired t-test, a normality test was performed, which resulted in a value of 0.109 > 0.05, indicating that the data is normally distributed. The results of the paired t-test analysis showed a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that the smart paperboard learning media has a positive effect on student learning outcomes. The findings of this study strengthen the theory that using cutting-edge and interactive learning media, such as smart paperboard, can foster the effectiveness of learning. Likewise, this study implies that active student participation in the learning process positively contributes to enhancing their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tindakan bullying banyak dilakukan oleh remaja-remaja dilingkungan sekolah. Bullying ini dilakukan seseorang atau kelompok tertentu untuk menyakiti seseorang melalui fisik atau psikologis dan membuat korban trauma dan tertekan. Dilatar belakangi sering terjadinya bullying di sekolahan peneliti mengadakan sosialisasi di MTs Sunan Gunung Jadi Katemas sehingga nantinya para siswa menjadi faham akan bahayanya bullying. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini diharapkan mampu mengurangi atau bahkan menghilangkan tindak bullying yang terjadi di sekolahan. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini adalah perubahan yang terjadi pada pemahaman para peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi di lingkungan sekolahan.

Abstract

Kelompok bidang usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah di desa Katemas masih kurang memahami terkait pemasaran secara digital, Perkembangan media sosial saat ini tidak digunakan hanya untuk kegiatan sosial saja, tetapi juga untuk keperluan usaha dan berbisnis atau bahasa lainnya disebut dengan digital marketing, maka daei itu peneliti ingin memberikan pelatihan Sosialisasi Pengenalan Produk dan Strategi Promosi di Shopee Produk Umkm Desa Katemas dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan daya jual UMKM di desa katemas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Service Learning. Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the Madrasa headmaster in implementing meeting management, the obstacles faced, and the factors that influence the implementation of meeting management at MAN 1 Nganjuk. This research is qualitative research using data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the headmaster of MAN 1 Nganjuk implements four roles in implementing meeting management, namely as Leader, Manager, Motivator, and Supervisor. The obstacles faced by the head of MAN 1 Nganjuk in implementing meeting management included: the absence of several meeting participants, lack of focus from meeting participants, as well as conflict and tension between meeting participants. Apart from that, several factors influence meeting management at MAN 1 Nganjuk, such as meeting objectives, meeting preparation, effective communication, effective leadership, evaluation and follow up.

Abstract

The form of procrastination that they practice is avoiding assignments that have been given by the subject teacher, finding it difficult to understand the material that has been explained by the subject teacher, and delaying when doing assignments so that when the task will be collected, the students concerned are not present during class time. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative research design. The data sources for this research are guidance and counseling teachers, three students who have received classical guidance services, school principals, and subject teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation The data validation technique uses source triangulation. The data obtained was analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models, which included data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions.The results showed that the classical guidance services provided by counseling teachers had three aspects: the preparatory aspect, which included preparing the topic of classical guidance material and compiling RPL; the implementation aspect, which included carrying out classical guidance services according to schedule and providing services according to the material that had been prepared; and the outcome aspect, which includes process evaluation and outcome evaluation after the service is implemented.
