Abstract

Abstract: Spatial planning in Batam, Bintan, and Karimun (BBK) areas is prioritized because it has an important impact on the national economy. This research aims to identify the potential leading sectors in the BBK areas as a reference in regional development. This study uses time series data on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on constant prices in the BBK areas from 2011 to 2021. The analytical tools used in this research are Location Quotient to identify basic and non-basic sectors, Shift Share Analysis to determine changes and shifts in sectors, and Klassen Typology to determine the classification of sector in each region. The three analytical tools combined results demonstrate that economic growth in Batam is supported by the processing sector. A growing sector in Bintan is related to the tourism. Economic potential in Karimun dominated by the agricultural, forestry, and marine sectors. Tanjungpinang’s economic potential is dominated by the service sector, which supports the city’s role as the capital of the Riau Islands Province. However, the fisheries sector has not developed optimally. As an archipelago, regional development policies in the BBK areas should develop other sectors to optimize the maritime economic potential. Abstract

Bekasi Regency, known as an industrial hub in Indonesia, has witnessed a surge in digital transformation efforts among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Despite their significant economic contributions, MSMEs face challenges such as uneven digital infrastructure, limited digital literacy, and organizational readiness gaps. This study investigates strategies for empowering MSMEs to embrace digital transformation using a hybrid SWOT and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. SWOT analysis explores the internal and external factors influencing MSME readiness, while AHP prioritizes strategic alternatives for actionable recommendations. The findings highlight critical factors, including the need for enhanced digital infrastructure, increased digital literacy among MSME stakeholders, and strengthened cross-sectoral collaborations to address challenges such as limited resources and cybersecurity concerns. The integration of SWOT and AHP methodologies results in prioritized strategies, with the expansion of digital infrastructure emerging as the top priority, followed by fostering digital partnerships and enhancing digital literacy.Managerial implications emphasize the importance of equitable digital access, the creation of MSME digitalization centers, and the development of curated e-commerce platforms to strengthen competitiveness. These strategies are essential to promoting sustainable and inclusive growth in the region. The study concludes that government and private-sector collaboration is vital for bridging digital divides and enabling MSMEs to thrive in an increasingly digital economy. This research contributes to the limited discourse on MSME digital transformation in emerging markets, providing a strategic framework to achieve inclusive growth and regional economic resilience. Future research should explore the longitudinal impact of these strategies on MSME development and their scalability across diverse socio-economic contexts

Abstract

Background: The demand for PGA surgical suture is increasing, which was recorded from 2017-2019, reaching 148 million in the world and 1.2 million in Indonesia. This is in line with the increase in surgery. Currently, many foreign medical device products are supplied from imports, reaching 70%, and have high prices. PT XYZ is one of the medical device distributor companies that collaborates with companies in the European region as suppliers. The company often experiences problems in procuring product inventory because it depends on one supplier, which affects supply chain performance and creates various risks in its business processes.Purpose: This research focused on risk mitigation at PT XYZ.Design/methodology/approach: The HOR analysis and fishbone method.Findings/Result: Based on the HOR analysis and fishbone method, 3 priority sources of risk that must be mitigated are supplier errors, fluctuating demand, and limited storage space. Furthermore, the mitigation that must be done is to encourage suppliers to build factories in Indonesia, provide quarterly order forecasting, and hold regular meetings for evaluation and strategy making. Abstract

This study examined the influence of Entrepreneurial Good University Governance (EGUG) on Service Performance (SEV), Financial Performance (FIN), and Sustainability Performance (SUS), with Leadership Style (LS) as a mediating variable in State University of Public Service Agency (SU-PSA) in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was applied, involving 64 respondents, and data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The findings revealed that EGUG significantly impacted service, financial, and sustainability performance. Leadership style also had a substantial effect, partially mediating the relationship between EGUG and performance outcomes. EGUG influence on performance was both direct and indirect through leadership style. The novelty of this study lies in extending Good University Governance to include EGUG, which fosters innovation, financial sustainability, and public service. Practical examples, such as the Bandung Institute of Technology, illustrate how entrepreneurial governance enhances financial independence and strengthens industry ties. Similar models have been adopted in the United States and Europe, where entrepreneurial governance supports academic excellence and contributes to regional economic development. This approach offers a flexible governance model for other institutions to address their unique challenges. However, the relatively small sample size of 64 respondents limits the generalizability of the findings. The specific focus on SU-PSA under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology may not fully represent other university types. Future studies should expand the sample and include a broader range of universities to enhance the robustness and applicability of the results.

Abstract

Each motor vehicle produces a variety of noise. For areas which directly intersects the highway this noise has a considerable impact. The volume of motorcycles and private as well as public vehicles all have a significant effect on noise. From all analytical calculations, the largest equation was obtained one the second day of research on the second point of Sound Level Meter 2 (SLM2). The calculation is that y = 0,0158x – 1,0176. This equation indicates that if there is no decrease in the volume of the motorcycle, the noise level on the SLM2 is 65.21 dBA. If there is an increase or decrease in the volume of a motorcycle, it will have a significant effect on noise. The second largest equation was obtained on the second day of the research at the third point from the Sound Level Meter 3 (SLM3) and the calculation of the equation is y = 0,01 – 6,074. The purpose of the above equation is that if there is an increase in the volume of a motorcycle, the noise on the SLM3 is 60.840 dBA. According to the findings, there was a reduction in the number of motorcycles during the Covid-19 pandemic, because schools were closed and students did not attend school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance on firm value with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a moderating variable. Financial performance is measured using financial indicators such as Return on Equity (ROE) and Net Profit Margin (NPM), while firm value is represented by Price to Book Value (PBV). The type of research used is quantitative research. The variables used in this study consist of independent variables, namely Financial Performance, dependent variables, namely company value and moderating variables, namely Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The population used in this research is 34 coal mining companies. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample obtained of 19 companies. Data collection techniques using documentation by taking data on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data analysis techniques used using Descriptive Statistical Analysis, regression analysis and Moderate Regression Analysis. The results showed that financial performance as measured by ROE has a positive and significant influence on company value. Meanwhile, NPM has no influence on company value. In addition, CSR is proven to moderate the ROE relationship positively, where companies with good CSR implementation show a higher increase in firm value than companies with low levels of CSR. However, CSR has not been able to moderate NPM on company value. The conclusion of this study is that Return On Equity affects the company's value. Net Profit Margin has no effect on company value, while CSR only moderates the effect of ROE on company value.

Abstract

Financial distress is when the company cannot pay what has been agreed upon when it is due. This paper discusses financial difficulties in multi-finance companies from 2010 to 2023. Forecasting financial difficulties uses the Merton Model method, adapted from the Black-Scholes Model for option prices. The method used to predict financial difficulties for multi-finance companies uses the Merton Method, as described previously, which is an adaptation of the Black-Scholes method. His research found that multi-finance companies still have negative interest margins. Increasing the credit disbursed also needs to receive attention from company management. The company's marketing costs also appear minor and can be imitated by other institutions. The probability of financial distress for multi-finance companies is very high and cannot be separated from the business characteristics of multi-finance companies. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) in moderating factors affecting the stability (Z-score) of Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia from 2012 to 2022. Using quarterly panel data regression, this research categorizes BPDs into two groups: Category-1 banks that have not met the minimum capital requirements and Category-2 banks that have met these requirements. The findings reveal significant differences in how various factors influence stability across these categories. In Category-1 banks, factors such as market competition (Lerner Index), market share of loans (MSL), and deposits (MSD) have a more pronounced impact on stability, highlighting their reliance on external conditions. Conversely, Category-2 banks exhibit greater resilience, with CAR positively contributing to stability, while factors like efficiency (TEF and SEF) and macroeconomic conditions (regional GDP) play a crucial role in risk management. The study also finds that factors such as Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) affect stability differently across categories, emphasizing the need for tailored risk management strategies. These insights provide practical implications for policymakers and banking management in optimizing regulatory frameworks and enhancing the stability of BPDs.
