Abstract

Background: The rise of digital technology has driven the growth of financial services like Paylater, enabling instant purchases with deferred payments. This has shifted financial habits, especially among Generation Z, who are more vulnerable to risky credit behavior. Therefore, understanding factors such as financial literacy and financial self-efficacy is essential to encourage responsible credit use.Purpose: The research focuses on analyzing the influence of financial literacy and financial self-efficacy on risky credit behavior among Generation Z in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: The study employs a quantitative research approach, utilizing a survey method to collect primary data from 141 Generation Z respondents in Indonesia who use online consumer credit services. The questionnaire assesses financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and risky credit behavior. The collected data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to evaluate the relationships between financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and risky credit behavior. Findings/Results: The study reveals that financial literacy significantly affects risky credit behavior. Furthermore, financial self-efficacy serves as a mediating variable, strengthening the influence of financial literacy on responsible credit management. Specifically, the results indicate that higher financial literacy leads to improved financial self-efficacy, and increased financial literacy reduces risky credit behavior. Financial self-efficacy directly decreases risky credit behavior, and financial self-efficacy successfully moderates the relationship between financial literacy and risky credit behavior, reinforcing responsible credit decisions. These findings highlight the importance of both financial knowledge and confidence in reducing credit risks among Generation Z consumers. Conclusion: This study confirms that financial literacy and financial self-efficacy play critical roles in shaping the credit behavior of Generation Z. Financial literacy equips individuals with the necessary knowledge to manage their finances effectively, while financial self-efficacy enhances their confidence in making informed financial decisions.Originality/value (State of the art): This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on financial behavior by examining the interplay between financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and risky credit behavior within the context of Generation Z's engagement with online consumer credit. Unlike previous studies that primarily focus on financial literacy alone, this study highlights the mediating role of financial self-efficacy, providing a more comprehensive understanding of how financial knowledge translates into behavior. The findings offer valuable insights for financial service providers, educators, and policymakers in designing interventions aimed at fostering financial responsibility among young consumers. Keywords: financial literacy, self-efficacy, risky credit behavior, online consumer credit, generation z

Abstract

Background: Cash waqf and waqf through money is an unfamiliar concept in donation activities in Indonesia. Cash waqf possesses a sustainable nature, as the endowed assets are preserved and managed to generate ongoing benefits across generations. This sustainability is ensured by the obligation of the nazhir to safeguard the waqf assets from loss or damage, thereby maintaining their long-term impact. Purposes: This research aims to explore public interest and intention in cash waqf and analyze the factors influencing the community's interest and intention toward cash waqf. Design/methodology/approach: The statistical method employed is descriptive analysis and structural equation modeling with partial least squares (SEM-PLS), using tool Smart PLS version 4 with 70 respondents. The respondent category in this study is muslim or Muslimah, has ever performed monetary waqf, and is at least 17 years old.Findings/Result: The analysis reveals that the respondent living or working in Jakarta prioritizes engaging in waqf through money, followed by cash waqf. Statistical test results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, and waqf literacy all have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention. Conclusion: The results of the descriptive analysis show that respondents living or working in Jakarta are more interested in donating waqf through money compared to cash waqf. The waqf literacy index is 72.81% (moderate), the basic understanding of waqf is 47.83%, and the advanced understanding of waqf is 24.98%. The statistical test results indicate that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habits, and waqf literacy all have a positive and significant impact on behavioral intention.Originality/value (State of the art): The state of the art in this study is the use of the UTAUT2 variable, which has been cited more than 6,000 times on Google Scholar and has never been previously used to analyze the impact of technology adoption in cash waqf collection through Berkahwakaf.id. Keywords: cash waqf, SEMPLS, super apps, UTAUT2, waqf literacy

Abstract

Digital transformation is a pivotal factor in enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study examines the key determinants influencing MSME digitalization in Kabupaten Bekasi through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and spatial analysis. The PCA results identify five primary factors: individual readiness, organizational capability, cultural mindset, regulatory support, and ecosystem infrastructure. Spatial analysis employing the Moran’s Index and Local Indicator of Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA) reveals an uneven digital adoption pattern across 23 districts, forming four distinct clusters: High-High, High-Low, Low-High, and Low-Low.The findings underscore that MSME digitalization success is not solely contingent on individual readiness but is also shaped by institutional support, government policies, and the broader digital ecosystem. Consequently, a cluster-based digital transformation strategy is imperative: advanced clusters (High-High) should serve as role models, while lagging clusters (Low-Low) require targeted interventions, including infrastructure development and digital literacy initiatives. This study provides a robust foundation for policymakers to design more effective, evidence-based interventions aimed at fostering inclusive and sustainable MSME digitalization.

Abstract

The development of transportation is increasing rapidly from year to year in accordance with existing technological developments, currently transportation plays an important role in human life, roads are the means of transportation that play the most role in this, along with the increasing volume of passing vehicles as well as road widening of course. Produces a new problem that may still be underestimated, that problem is noise. One of them is a place of education or a school that is right next to the main road, namely Wiyata Mandala Junior High School, Bogor Regency. The speed of private vehicles has a significant effect on noise. From all analysis calculations, the biggest equation is found in the first day of the third point of research (Sound Level Meter 3), with a contribution of 28.95%. The calculation below shows, y = 61.62 + 0.004x1 at a distance of 15.25m SLM. This equation means that if there is no decrease in motorbike speed, the noise level on the SLM3 is 61.62 dBA. The second largest equation was obtained in the first day of research at the second point (Sound Level Meter 2) with a contribution of 27.14% based on the calculation of the equation below, y = 64.23 + 0.007x1 with a distance of 3.44m SLM. The purpose of the above equation is that if there is an increase in motorbike speed, private vehicle speed and public vehicle speed, then the noise on the SLM2 is 64.23 dBA. During the Covid-19 pandemic, motorcycles at moderate speed often passed this school area. So based on the results of observations and calculations, it was found that the decrease in motorcycles was 45% which crossed the Wiyata Mandala Junior High School Bogor.

Abstract

The demand for electricity in Indonesia has been escalating rapidly for the pastyears. One of the priorities to fulfill the demand is by developing mini hydro power. However, the potential risk of implementation can arise at any stages of EPC process. XYZ is a EPCcontractor company facing problems in managing risk. The objectives of this study are toidentify risks and measuring the magnitude of the risk and develop effective risk mitigationstrategies. Data analysis was conducted by determining the relative importance index (RII).There are 12 factors (22,64%) were categorized as very significant risks (80 RII 100). Therespondent considers that the level grade in reliability and availability plant are the highest riskfactor. The twelfth rank was taken by inaccuracy of engineers'estimations during the preparationof material take over (MTO)/bill of quantity (BQ). Improvement in the company's humanresources is a major concern of the respondents, because the main weight of the respondent'sassessment of the strategy group was the dominant risk factor based on analitical hyrarchyprocess (AHP).

Abstract

This study investigates how Quantitative Easing (QE), as an unconventional monetary policy, affects Indonesia's macroeconomic stability amidst increasing global volatility. While QE is intended to stimulate liquidity and economic recovery, its implementation in emerging economies like Indonesia faces structural constraints involving inflation control, exchange rate management, and monetary policy independence. Using 64 quarterly observations from 2007 to 2023, this quantitative research applies nonlinear econometric models including Threshold Vector Autoregression (TVAR), Bayesian Vector Autoregression (BVAR), and Time-Varying Parameter Vector Autoregression (TVP-VAR) to capture regime-dependent and time-varying policy dynamics. The analysis focuses on Indonesia’s macro-financial variables, including policy interest rate, inflation, GDP growth, REER, stock market index (IHSG), and government bonds (SUN). The study adopts the “new monetary trinity” framework, integrating financial stability alongside exchange rate and monetary autonomy. The main findings highlight nonlinear and time-varying relationships among variables: in low-volatility regimes, QE supports inflation control and bond stability, while in high-volatility regimes, it intensifies pressure on GDP and erodes monetary independence. The burden-sharing mechanism between the central bank and the government proves critical in sustaining liquidity and investor confidence. These insights underscore the need for adaptive, well-coordinated fiscal-monetary strategies to enhance resilience in Indonesia and other emerging markets.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic created significant turmoil in global financial markets, including the Indonesia Stock Exchange, where liquidity and stability were severely disrupted by widespread panic and economic uncertainty. Investors faced heightened risks as stock prices fluctuated sharply in response to rapidly changing market conditions. This study examines the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on stock volatility and performance by comparing conventional liquid stocks from the LQ45 index with sustainable stocks from the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) indices. Using daily closing prices from January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2023, the analysis employs the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model to capture volatility patterns. The findings reveal that LQ45 stocks consistently exhibit higher volatility than ESG stocks, yet deliver superior returns across all periods. Conversely, ESG stocks show greater resilience during the pandemic, maintaining relatively stable performance despite lower returns compared to LQ45. These results underscore the value of incorporating sustainable investment strategies, particularly when combined with liquidity considerations, as a means to balance risk and return while enhancing portfolio stability during periods of market uncertainty.

Abstract

This study analyzes the determinants of firm value and the moderating role of macroeconomic indicators on the determinants of firm value. Secondary data testing was carried out on the IDX High Dividend 20 company financial statements for the period 2017-2021 which were analyzed using panel data regression. The determinants of firm value tested include dividend policy, capital structure, ownership, free cash flow, profitability, and good corporate governance (GCG). Interest and exchange rates are used as moderating variables. The research findings show that dividend policy, ownership, and board size have a positive impact, while the audit committee has a negative effect on firm value. The moderating role of interest rates and exchange rates can be seen in their interactions with dividend policy variables and GCG variables which are proxied through the board size and audit committee. The moderating role of interest rates can increase the firm value if it interacts with the dividend policy, and interest rates can increase or decrease a firm value if it interacts with good corporate governance. The exchange rate moderating effect can increase the firm value if it interacts with dividend policy and GCG.
