Abstract

Career guidance model for deaf children in time after Special Senior High School consists of various skills that can be done as the provision in order to be independent in the future life. The problem of this study is learning skills for students who experience barriers hearing at Special Senior High School. The purpose of this study is to test whether there is influence of career guidance model for deaf children in facing the workforce so that they can be independent in the future life. The research method that is used in this study is Research Development (R & D) expressed by (Borg & Gall, 2003). The method of research is done using steps developed by (Borg & Gall, 2003). The Research is conducted in Payakumbuh city for certain skills such as culinary, fashion, aesthetic and other skills adjusted by potential area. The training is conducted for children who follow the subjects of expertise based on the Model of the Career Guidance that has been designed and developed as appropriate regional potential. In order to test the effectiveness of career guidance for self-relying children, it uses statistical techniques U Test by Mann Whytney. The results showed that the Career Guidance Model that is implemented for self-relying deaf children proven to be effective in improving the ability in conducting various types of skills that is given in accordance with their ability in time after Special Senior High School. It is proven from the result of U Test by Mann Whytney that is Uhit > Utab. This means that the guidance career model is effectively performed by deaf children, so they have skills in conducting various types of work that suits their ability so that they have the independence for the future life.

Abstract

Digital era is a term used in the internet network technology, especially information technology. Today, the learning process is highly developed and predictably rapid; therefore, teachers should be more proficient in using digital technology because they will use it to teach the students. In education for students with special needs which is still conducted conventionally, the process of administrative, financial, academic, and learning methods need changes along with the development of information and communication technology. Therefore, the education requires ongoing innovation, technology, resources of professional educators which are digitalized.

Abstract

This study aims to identify where the occurrence of bottlenecks in the science learning process of secondary school inclusive education providers for children with special needs (ABK), through deep study. Informants in this research are teachers who are involved in science learning in schools implementing inclusive education in Padang city. Data were collected by interview, observation and questionnaire method as the main method. Assistive methods in the form of documentation. Qualitative data analysis through 4 paths is data collection, data reduction, data display, draw a conclusion. The result of initial research of 102 schools SMA / MA / SMK in Padang city there are problems of interaction of six components of education process (curriculum, educator, learner, facilities and infrastructure, technology and learning media, assessment system). From 102 schools and there are 4 schools conducting inclusive education with 56 students spread in SMK Negeri 4 as many as 18 people, SMK Negeri 6 as many as 27 people, SMK Negeri 7 as many as 8 people, SMK Negeri 8 as many as 3 people. based on the problem which related to teachers, students, schools, communities, and government experienced problems in the implementation of inclusive education because ABK difficulty varies according to their needs. Science learning for ABK has not done well according to the needs, characteristics, and limits of ability possessed by children with special needs. The guidance model, not yet focused on non-adaptive behavior or deviant behavior before they conduct activities of individual learning activities program.

Abstract

Parents who have children with cerebral palsy sometimes experience hopeless caring. Some parents feel shocked and cannot accept the fact that their child has a disability. Therefore we need an analysis of the needs of parents who have children with cerebral palsy. In the current study, to understand the needs of parents who have children with cerebral palsy, it is necessary to conduct family counseling in accordance with the cultural background and socio-economic level of the family. The purpose of this study is to explain the needs of parents who have children with cerebral palsy. This research is a quantitative study, namely research that uses explanatory research because this research was conducted in Padang, Indonesia, with a total sample of 13 parents who had children with cerebral palsy. The data source came from distributing questionnaires after family counseling was conducted to parents who had children with cerebral palsy. This study's results are that parental needs consist of several indicators, namely acceptance of parents who have children with cerebral palsy, factors that influence parents in receiving their children with cerebral palsy, and problems and obstacles faced by parents in dealing with their children with cerebral palsy.

Abstract

This study is based on the problems found in SLB 1 Padang Panjang. There is a child with spastic type of cerebral palsy (CP) had low pre-writing ability, this was indicated by the child's difficulty in moving his muscles, so that the child experienced difficulties in the academic field in his writing ability. The purpose of this study is to improve children's pre-writing skills by using kinetic sand for spastic types of cerebral palsy. The method used is single subject research (SSR) with an ABA design. The test uses a pre-writing ability test, which is to assign children to make horizontal, vertical lines, right and left slashes, curved lines up, down, right and left, write the letters c, i, n, v, z, and write their nicknames. The results of data analysis obtained are in A1 with observations for four days of children in pre-writing. the results are 28%. In state B, the child was given an action in his pre-writing ability using kinetic sand media with the implementation for seven days, the result was 78%. Then on A2 carried out for four days without any further treatment using kinetic sand media, the results were 78%. Based on the results of this study indicates that kinetic sand media can improve pre-writing skills in children with cerebral palsy.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an instrument to measure the implementation of inclusive education in universities. The research was developed using a mixed-methods approach, which combines the Theoretical Framework and Needs Assessment. The first stage of the research involved literature review to investigate the relevant instrument and references that support the development of an instrument for measuring inclusive education in universities. The second stage was a needs assessment conducted at universities in Padang. The subjects of the research were 47 university students from four universities in Padang. The data were analyzed using focus group discussion. The study of the index for inclusion for higher education was compared to the results of the research. Findings of the research showed that five aspects are needed to develop the instrument of index for inclusion in universities. Lecturers and students also selected the five aspects to be the obligatory aspects that should be placed in the instrument of the implementation of inclusive education. The instrument developed in this research is the instrument of index for inclusion, which is divided into five aspects. The five aspects were developed based on a literature review. The results of the research are expected to be the guide in measuring the implementation of inclusive education in universities and help students with special needs to be provided with physical and non-physical accessibilities in universities.
