Abstract

The patterns of women’s daily working, shift from dynamic to static state due to the influence of technology that makes the daily work more effectively and efficiently, which constantly lowering physical fitness. Aerobic exercise is a physical activity that can increase women’s physical fitness, these include Ayo Bergerak, Bugar Indonesia and Ayo Bersatu Gymnastic Exercise.This study was aimed to determine which gymnasticic exercise is more effective to improving physical fitness. This study is a randomized experimental design with Pre and Post Test Control Group Design on 30 women aged 30-40 years with a poor of physical fitness, divided into 3 groups randomly which Group I was given training of Ayo Bergerak Gymnastic Exercise, Group II with Bugar Indonesia Gymnastic Exercise and group III with Ayo Bersatu Gymnastic Exercise, 3 times perweeks during 10 weeks. The value of physical fitness was measured using the Kasch Step Test method, calculated the recovery heart rate (RHR) after step test, with assuming that the recovery heart rate decreased after training, which indicates increased physical fitness. The Shapiro - Wilk test and Levene test obtained p > 0.05, indicating the overall sample homogeneity qualify. Paired sample t-test and statistical ANOVA-test obtained p < 0.05 indicates that the three exercise are effectively improved physical fitness. And effectiveness test after training by using independent t- test showed Ayo Bergerak and Bugar Indonesia Gymnastic Exercise are the most highly improved physical fitness. For women who want to improve their physical fitness can choose both of the exercise.

Abstract

Subacromial impingement syndrome is pain caused the emphasis of the supraspinatus muscle tendon between the acromion and the humeral tuberosity. Pain in subacromial impingement syndrome cause reduction of shoulder functional activity. Handling the problem of impingement syndrome, many modalities are heating, electrical stimulation, manual therapy and exercise therapy. This study aimed to compare result between the combination of ultrasound therapy and traction shoulder toward caudal (group 1) and combination of ultrasound therapy and Codman pendular exercise (group 2). The duration of treatment was given 3 times a week for 2 weeks long. Sampling of this research was 32 people each group of 16 people. This research was true experimental study using pre test and post test design with measurement SPADI (Shoulder Pain and Disability Index) Result of hypothesis testing using independent t-test is found p > 0.05 showed no significant differences between group 1 and group 2. Conclusions in this research that combining of ultrasound therapy and traction shoulder to caudal are proven equally effective with ultrasound therapy and codman pendular exercise to reduce pain and improve functional shoulder joint activity in patient with impingement subacromial syndrome. There for the further study it is recommended a multicentre study using three combination therapy (Ultrasound, traction and pendular exercise) for reducing pain and improving functional shoulder joint activity with impingement subacromial syndrome

Abstract

Background: falls is one of the major problems that often occur in the elderly population. It caused the decrease of balance in elderly. Purpose: to prove addition perturbation training on core stability exercise better than core stability exercise to improve balance in elderly. Method: This research is an experiment research design with pre and post test control group design. These samples included 22 people who were divided into two groups. Group 1 has given perturbation training and core stability exercise, while Group 2 has given core stability exercise. Measurement of balance measured using a Berg balance scale. Result: Paired t-test at Group 1 and Group 2 showed value p=0.001 (p<0.025), this results showed a significant balance increase in each groups. Then independent sample t-test between Group 1 and Group 2 showed value of p=0.015 (p<0.025). It results showed significant difference between Group 1 and Group 2. Conclusion: additional perturbation training on core stability exercise better than core stability exercise to improve balance in elderly.

Abstract

Kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan merupakan faktor yang menentukan kualitas tendangan dalam pencak silat, maka diperlukan metode pelatihan tentang kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan melalui gerakan-gerakan yang lebih efektif. Latihan lunges dan squat merupakan latihan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan pelatihan lunges lebih baik dari squat dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar. Jenis penelitian true eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian randomized pre test and post test with control groups design. Subyek dari penelitian ini atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar yang berjumlah 18 orang yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok yang berbeda. Kelompok 1 latihan lunges sedangkan Kelompok 2 latihan squat, latihan diberikan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali dalam seminggu. Pengukuran menggunakan alat leg dynamometer untuk mengetahui kekuatan otot tungkai dan standing stork test untuk mengetahui keseimbangan. Hasil rerata pengukuran kekuatan otot tungkai sebelum latihan lunges 177,44±7,69 kg sedangkan setelah latihan lunges 205,44±9,50 kg. Hasil rerata pengukuran kekuatan otot tungkai sebelum latihan squat 172,33±7,84 kg sedangkan setelah latihan squat 187,22±7,32 kg. Hasil rerata pengukuran keseimbangan sebelum latihan lunges 18,11±1,61 detik sedangkan setelah latihan lunges 27,22±1,98 detik. Hasil rerata pengukuran keseimbangan sebelum latihan squat 18,44±1,87detik sedangkan setelah latihan squat 23,11±1,36 detik. Uji beda rerata kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan pada Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 dengan uji independent pada post test didapat hasil nilai p=0,00 (p<0,05). Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 sama-sama memberikan peningkatan terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai dan keseimbangan pada atlet putra peserta ekstrakurikuler pencak silat SMA Dwijendra Denpasar, tetapi Kelompok 1 lebih baik dari pada Kelompok 2 dilihat dari rerata post test. Saran dalam penelitian ini diharapkan kepada para pelatih dapat memberikan latihan dengan tepat dan sesuai dengan metode dan prinsip dalam pelatihan agar mampu meningkatkan prestasi atlet. Abstract

The work attitude ofstampbatik workers in conductedtheir dailyworkin standingposition. Static muscle contraction in along timewill cause ashort age of muscle blood flow, which results in reduced energy exchangeand egress metabolic wastein the active muscles, thus causing fatigue and pain. Theprocessing volvesa lot of loading on static muscle is faster cause muscle complaints,and this affects of the ability and decrease in labor productivity result. The purposeforknowing whether combination of contract relax stretching and infrared are better todecrease calf muscle pain compared with pedal exercise under compression and infraredon the stamp batik workerin home industries Buaran Pekalongan. Types of experimentalresearch, with the randomized study design pre and post test control group design.Group-1 (n =14) subjectswho receivedpedal exercise under compressionandinfrared,whileGroup-2 (n=14) get contract relax stretching and infrared. Analysis ofthe datawiththePaired Sample t-Test design mean scoresin the calf muscle pain in group1beforetreatmentwas142,857 mmHg and after 6 times treatment be172,142 mmHg, p=0.000. While the scores of calf muscle pain in Group-2 before treatment was 142,857mmHg and after 6 times treatment be170,714 mmHg, p =0.000. DifferenttestgroupswithGroup1 and Group 2 with astatistical analysis of Independent Sample-tTest value of p=0,871 (p>0.05).The conclusions obtained were exercise programsofcontract relax stretchingand infrared with pedal exercise under compression and infrared together can decrease calf muscle pain on the stamp batik worker. There is nosignificant different between the turn combination of contract relax stretching andinfrared with pedal exercise under compression and infraredto decrease calf muscle painon the stamp batik worker.

Abstract

100 meters’ run is a short distance that someone has to run with repulsion as fast as possible up to distance 100 meters’. Become a good runner must have anaerobic capability, power of limb muscles. This research aims to find out the improvement of anaerobic capability, power of limb muscles and 100 meters’ running speed from the effect of training of acceleration running and interval running at sandy beach on tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Suela in East Lombok. An experimental study of Pre-Post Test Control Group Design had been conducted on 30 students aged between 16-17 years old who had physical fitness level of medium or moderate. Samples were divided into two groups by using simple random allocation technique. Group I was given the training of acceleration running at sandy beach and group II was given the training of interval running at sandy beach. The average of anaerobic capability, power of limb muscles and 100 meters’ running speed on each group, has p < 0.05. It means that on each group, there is a meaningful and significant improvement change after training. It can be concluded that the training of acceleration running and interval running at sandy beach equally improving anaerobic capability, the power of limb muscles and 100 meters’ running speed.Key words: Acceleration running, interval running, anaerobic capability, power of limb muscles, 100 meters’ running.

Abstract

The increase of life expectancy theis more complex health problem is which suffered by the elderly. The problem in health which is often occurred that is instability of blood pressure which dominated by hypertension. One of methods to decrease high blood pressure is by increasing physical activity. Physical activity reduces the risk of hypertention by decreasing resistance of blood pressure and surpressing the activity in sympathetic nerves system and renin-angiotensin system. This research aims to discover Hatha Yoga training and Tai Chi traning in decreasing blood pressure in pre-elderly with grade I hypertension in Banjar Batu, Mengwi sub-distict, Badung Regency. This research used experimental design with pre test and post test two group design. Group I was given Hatha Yoga and Group II was given Tai Chi. The sample in this research is 20 people (man and woman) who suffered grade I hypertension and aged in 45-49 years old. The training was done in 3 times a week for 6 weeks. The result of the research shows that the decrease of blood pressure is shown Group I in systole is 5,60±1,43 mmHg and diastole is 4,00±1,94 mmHg, with value p=0,00. In Group II, there is a decrease in systole blood pressure is 4,90±0,99 mmHg and diastole 4,30±2,05 mmHg, with value p=0,00. There is no significant difference in the decrease of blood pressure between Group I and Group II with blood pressure in systole is p=0,378 (p>0,05) and in diastole is p=0,805 (p>0,05). The conclusion is that Hatha Yoga training is as goof as Tai Chi training in decreasing blood pressure in pre-elderly with mild hypertention. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Non-specific Low Back Pain (NLBP) merupakan nyeri punggung bawah yang tidak dihubungkan dengan patologi spesifik. Terjadinya disabilitas pada NLBP akibat adanya nyeri, imbalance muscle, spasme otot dan perubahan psikologis. Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya pemberian terapi fisik dapat menurunkan nyeri, peningkatan stabilitas dan koreksi postur pada tulang belakang, terapi latihan ini bisa berupa latihan McKenzie dan Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT). Tujuan Penelitian: untuk mengetahui CFT dapat menurunkan disabilitas dibandingkan dengan latihan McKenzie pada NLBP. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimental melibatkan sejumlah 20 orang sampel yang merupakan warga Desa Sungai Tendang penderita NLBP berusia 30-60 tahun. Sampel terbagi menjadi 2 Kelompok secara acak sederhana, dimana Kelompok 1 (n = 10) diberikan CFT dan Kelompok 2 (n = 10) diberikan latihan McKenzie. Penelitian ini dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama 4 minggu dengan menggunakan kuesioner penilaian Modified Oswestry Disability Index (MODI). Hasil: Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test sebelum dan setelah intervensi pada Kelompok 1 dengan nilai p <0,0001 yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna dari nilai disabilitas sebelum dan setelah intervensi CFT pada NLBP. Pada Kelompok 2 didapatkan nilai p <0,0001 yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna dari nilai disabilitas sebelum dan setelah intervensi McKenzie pada NLBP. Uji beda disabilitas setelah intervensi antara Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 menggunakan Independent Samples t-test didapatkan nilai p = 0,001 dengan rerata setelah pada kelompok 1 sebesar 4,40±2,06 dan pada Kelompok 2 sebesar 10,80±4,63. Kesimpulan: CFT lebih daik dalam menurunkan disabilitas dibandingkan dengan MK pada penderita NLBP. Kata Kunci: Cognitive Functional Therapy, McKenzie, Non-specific Low Back Pain

Karakteristik pengukir kendang tambur dilakukan dengan posisi duduk di lantai, sikap kerja membungkuk selama 8 jam dan 6 hari dalam seminggu. Hal inilah yang memicu timbulnya keluhan pegal yang dirasakan terutama pada bagian punggung bawah. Intervensi dengan pemberian alas duduk berupa matras serta upaya preventif berupa Mc Kenzie exercise dapat mengurangi ketegangan otot erector spinae dan keluhan muskuloskeletal akibat proses kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa pemberian alas duduk dan Mc Kenzie exercise dapat menurunkan ketegangan otot dan keluhan muskuloskeletal serta meningkatkan produktivitas pada pengukir kendang tambur di UD. Budi Luhur Gianyar. Penelitian ini merupakan true eksperimental, dengan rancangan sama subjek. Periode 1 subjek diberi perlakuan dengan kondisi kerja konvensional. Periode 2 subjek diberi perlakuan dengan pemberian alas duduk berupa matras dan Mc Kenzie exercise. Di antara ke dua tahap tersebut, diberikan washing out period dan adaptasi. Ketegangan otot erector spinae diukur dengan alat ­Surface Electromyography (SEMG), keluhan muskuloskeletal diukur dengan kuesioner Nordic Body Map dan produktivitas berdasarkan perbandingan antara input dan waktu dengan output. Efek intervensi dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon dan uji T-paired. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan ketegangan otot erector spinae sebesar 21,39% (p<0,05), penurunan keluhan muskuloskeletal sebesar 29,52% (p<0,05) dan peningkatan produktivitas sebesar 22,13% (p<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian alas duduk dan Mc Kenzie exercise dapat menurunkan ketegangan otot dan keluhan muskuloskeletal serta meningkatkan produktivitas pada pengukir kendang tambur di UD. Budi Luhur Gianyar. Sehingga disarankan untuk diterapkan pada industri pengukir kendang tambur, untuk meminimalkan ketegangan otot dan keluhan muskuloskeletal akibat proses kerja mengukir.

Abstract

The workers who work at incense shaping department using a chair without backrest. The container is placed below cause the worker to take it with a bent position. The table to put incense is too short, so that when held incense on the incense pads the position of workers tends to bend. These conditions cause the musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and increase the workload. The purpose of the study was to analyze an improved working conditions and combination of static stretching and McKenzie exercise to improve physiological response in the form of decreased musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and increase worker productivity. Research has been done on 10 workers working in the incense shaping department. The study was conducted in March 2018 - April 2018 held at UD. Manik Galih Tabanan. Physiology response was assessed using Nordic Body Map questionnaire 30 Items of Rating Scale. Intervention was applied in working station using chair with backrest, static exercise and McKenzie exercise. The different between Period 1 and Periode 2 were analized. The resultshowed that mean fatigue (post) at Period 1 was 55±1.49 and Period 2 was 36,8 ± 2,89, so decrease 41,48% significantly (p<0.05). The mean of musculoskeletal complaints after work in Period 1 was 73.6±4.46 and Period 2 was 43±4.53, decrease about 41.57% significantly (p<0.05). The productivity average of period 1 was 0.119 ±0.038 and period 2 was 0.198±0,055 an increase of 35.80% (p<0.05). It cloncluded that improving working condition and combination of static stretching and McKenzie exercise can decrease physiological response and increase work productivity for workers in incense shaping department at UD.
