Abstract

This research aims to compare Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory in the context of developing individual potential. The study utilizes literature review and comparative analysis as the research method to compare the two theories. In the pursuit of optimizing individual potential, the growth mindset emphasizes the importance of a developing mindset, viewing failures as opportunities for learning, and creating a supportive learning environment. On the other hand, multiple intelligences theory acknowledges the diversity of intelligences and advocates for the development of all types of intelligence in education. In inclusive modern education, the application of both theories can motivate students to grow and learn, develop self-confidence, and optimize their potential in various areas of intelligence. Through this approach, modern education can create a stimulating environment, facilitate holistic development, and produce individuals who are prepared to face future challenges. By understanding the differences and similarities between these two theories, education can adopt an inclusive approach that focuses on the full development of each individual's potential, ensuring that students are empowered to achieve academic success and optimal personal growth.

Abstract

The large electricity bill for aerators and filter pumps in Koi fish farming ponds is a problem for PPM (Community Service) partners. In addition, long-term power outages can cause fish death. This koi fish farming located in Tulungagung district has an area of about 2000 m2 which is divided into several pond plots. The decline in the quality of Koi fish is also caused by poor filtration. The purpose of this activity is to install a micro-scale Solar power plant. This micro Solar Power Plant is used as a power source for filter pumps and pond aerators. The installed 600 Wp Solar Power Plant system consists of 4 solar panels with a capacity of 150 Wp each, an 850 VA hybrid inverter, and a 100 Ah VRLA battery. Electrical energy from Solar Power Plant can power a 75 W pump with a capacity of 26000 L/h. The installation of solar panels in this pool can produce an average of 2.5 kWh of electrical energy/day. So that the electricity savings from PLN can reach IDR. 108,352.5 per month.

Abstract

This study examines how inter-generational respect and value negotiation unfold in Acehnese coffee shops, where Islamic traditions meet modern influences. Through surveys with 200 young and 15 older participants, alongside interviews and observations, the research highlights how younger generations respect Islamic values but often adapt them to fit modern social settings. Behaviors like casual dress and informal language sometimes create tension with elders, who see these actions as challenges to communal and religious norms. The study introduces the Theory of Generational Value Negotiation in Public Spaces (GVNPS), framing coffee shops as spaces where self-expression and cultural traditions are continuously negotiated. Elders act as cultural guardians, while youth navigate these expectations to assert their autonomy. This framework sheds light on how generational values are shaped in public spaces. The findings, though focused on Aceh, invite exploration of similar dynamics in other cultural contexts, considering factors like globalization and varying interpretations of tradition and religion.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of two recommendation system approaches, namely Collaborative Filtering (CF) and Content-Based Filtering (CBF), in providing relevant product recommendations to users in an e-commerce context. The dataset used consists of 120 data including 90 relevant and recommended products (True Positive), 20 recommended but irrelevant products (False Positive), and 10 relevant but not recommended products (False Negative). Based on the calculation results, both methods show a precision value of 0.818 and a recall of 0.900. This means that approximately 81.8% of products recommended by the system are truly relevant, while 90% of the total relevant products are successfully recommended to users. The F1-score value obtained of 0.857 illustrates a good balance between the accuracy and completeness of the recommendations generated by the system. Furthermore, to measure the level of rating prediction error, the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) metrics are used. The evaluation results show that the CF method has an MSE value of 0.0784 and an RMSE of 0.28, while the CBF method shows an MSE of 0.0961 and an RMSE of 0.31. The lower RMSE value of CF indicates that this method has better accuracy in predicting user preferences than CBF. Overall, both methods show good performance with a low error rate. However, CF proved slightly superior in providing recommendations that match user preferences, so it can be used as a basis for developing smarter and more personalized recommendation systems on e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

Searching for products online is often an inefficient and confusing process, especially when users do not know the exact name of the product or use terms that differ from the search system. Keyword-based searches tend to produce irrelevant results because the system only matches text literally without understanding the meaning. As users increasingly talk to digital devices, voice-based search technology has become a more natural and intuitive alternative. This research aims to develop a semantic-based voicebot supported by Natural Language Processing (NLP) to improve the effectiveness of product searches on e-commerce platforms. The designed system not only recognizes user speech but also understands the context, intent, and semantic meaning of the given commands. The research stages include collecting user voice data, training the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model for voice-to-text conversion, and applying the semantic NLP model for interpreting the context of product searches. The testing was conducted using Indonesian voice commands in a simulated e-commerce scenario. The results showed that the system achieved an average Word Error Rate (WER) of 1.29%, indicating a high level of accuracy in recognizing speech and understanding user intent. The integration between ASR and semantic NLP proved capable of creating a more natural, responsive search experience that resembles the way humans think and communicate when interacting with online search systems.
