Abstract

The function of the training ship is as a place for education, training, demonstration and simulation at sea and as a laboratory for educational and teaching activities that develop and improve knowledge, skills, understanding and experience as well as attitudes on board. The aims of the research is to find out whether the management of the training vessel, study case on board KL MH Thamrin, is effective and efficient according to its function, and also to find out whether the management of the training vessel is optimal for human resource development under the Sea Transportation Human Resources Development, as well as to find out the legal and regulatory aspects that support implementation of training activities as a practical learning for cadets. The research’s method is qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the level of effectiveness of the management of the training vessel was effective in the purpose of familiarizing the cadets before carrying out marine practices on commercial vessels. However, there needs to be consistency in the duration of the training implementation. Guidelines for the implementation of training on training ships have not been implemented optimally. There needs to be assignments for lecturers/instructors on board. Programs and training on training ships have not been fully accommodated in the education and training curriculum.

Abstract

The main problem is that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still not optimal in carrying out improvements to the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal, both in terms of facilities and services. This condition is reflected in the presence of passengers and drivers who have not maximized their use of the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal. This study aims to analyze service levels in increasing customer satisfaction. This research uses service quality analysis at the Pulo Gebang integrated bus terminal based on the level of passenger satisfaction using the Service Quality, Importance Performance Analysis and Quality Function Deployment methods. The research sample was bus passengers and the operational implementation unit as well as the Pulo Gebang integrated bus infrastructure and facilities implementation unit, totaling 100 respondents. The calculation results show the suitability value between the average perception score and the lowest average importance score, namely the service attributes, security guarantees and trust in services, which shows that the number of existing buses cannot fulfill customer desires. Other calculation results show that the conformity value does not reach 100%, so the Pulo Gebang Integrated bus terminal has not been able to fulfill customer desires as a whole.

Abstract

Logistics services are fast-growing services due to the flow of information and goods, as well as higher consumption needs. This is also due to the development of the e-commerce business and people's desire to make transactions more practical and economical. PT. Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), located in Tomang, West Jakarta, is a logistics service company that provides services for domestic and international goods delivery. JNE is always committed to providing the best service to achieve integrity and satisfying quality for its customers. This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and price on customer satisfaction at JNE Pusat. The research method is quantitative, using a questionnaire distributed to 109 respondents who are JNE Pusat customers. The data is processed using SPSS 29, with instrument testing using validity and reliability tests. The methods of data analysis used are simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, f-test, and the coefficient of determination.The results of this study indicate that service quality and price have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a determination coefficient of 58%. This means that 42% of customer satisfaction is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The logistics and transportation sector faces pressure to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), yet the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) lacks a synthesized, critically appraised evidence base. This study closes this gap via a systematic literature review guided by PRISMA 2020. Searching major databases yielded 25 high-impact review articles (2019-2025), which were critically appraised using the CASP checklist. Thematic analysis identified five core determinants for successful integration: Technological Adoption, Circular Economy Principles, Coherent Policy Frameworks, Workforce Awareness, and Sustainable Resource Management. Based on these findings, we propose an integrative socio-technical framework. This study provides a validated, evidence-based roadmap for stakeholders to develop resilient and sustainable HRM strategies, moving beyond a simple literature summary to offer a critically validated foundation for the industry.

Abstract

PT Pratama Abadi Industri (JX) merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi sepatu. Salah satu produknya yaitu sepatu model “X”. Pada proses produksinya, masih sering dijumpai terjadinya waste. Untuk mengurangi waste yang teridentifikasi, digunakan pendekatan lean six sigma. Langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan siklus DMAIC yaitu terdiri dari define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waste yang teridentifikasi yaitu 4 jenis waste pada proses produksi sepatu model “X” yang terdiri dari waste defect, waiting, excess processing, dan excees transportation. Alat bantu yang digunakan yakni Value Stream Mapping (VSM) pada tahap define, DPMO pada tahap measure, Fishbone Diagram pada tahap analyze dan Failure Mode Effect Analyze (FMEA) pada tahap improve. Rekomendasi perbaikan diberikan terhadap waste dengan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi sesuai pengolahan data pada Failure Mode Effect Analyze (FMEA). Rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan adalah membuat proyek setting management system, monitoring hasil pekerjaan operator menggunakan sistem barcode, dan melakukan relayout dan menerapkan kaizen 5S. Setelah diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan, langkah selanjutnya adalah memperkirakan penurunan nilai RPN pada FMEA berdasarkan rekomendasi yang diberikan.

Abstract

The transportation industry faces challenges in improving operational efficiency amid intense competition and regulatory changes. This study aims to analyze the application of the Dave Ulrich model in HR management strategies to improve the operational efficiency of transportation companies. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in a transportation company. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with HR managers and employees, field observations, and document analysis of HR policies. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that an effective HR strategy can improve operational efficiency. Data-driven workforce planning improved resource allocation efficiency by 22%, while industry needs-based training improved employee competencies by 30%. HR digitization through HRIS reduced administrative time by 40%, and the implementation of performance-based incentives increased productivity by 25%. In addition, the retention strategy implemented successfully reduced the turnover rate by 15%. The findings confirm that the integration of HR roles into business strategy through data-driven and technology-driven approaches can improve a company's operational efficiency.

Abstract

Pandemi global virus COVID-19 membuat beberapa pelaku usaha menjadi lamban karena kurangnya ruang gerak oleh pemerintah dan dunia, salah satunya sektor usaha angkutan laut yang saat ini kurang bergairah. Hal ini merupakan bentuk respons terhadap pandemi. International Maritime Organization sebagai organisasi maritim dunia telah mengeluarkan surat edaran untuk memberikan kemudahan dan kelonggaran bagi pemegang saham dan perusahaan pelayaran maritim di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis angka performa muatan perusahaan-perusahaan pelayaran nasional, khususnya pada perusahaan PT Samudera Sukses Makmur akibat dari pandemi global virus COVID-19 yang mengurangi jumlah freight yang didapatkan oleh perusahaan dalam pengoperasian kapal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode descriptive dengan mendeskripsikan performa freight dari perusahaan dan Indonesian National Shipowner’s Association tahun 2020 dengan membandingkan dengan periode-periode sebelum masa pandemi global COVID-19. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif berdasarkan data sekunder dan data sekunder berupa in-depth interview dari 10 informan beberapa manajer, manajer umum, dan direktur perusahaan. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak pandemi global COVID-19 terhadap kinerja enam perusahaan pelayaran nasional tahun 2021. Berdasarkan hasil analisis SWOT matriks IE, posisi perusahaan PT Samudera Sukses Makmur berada pada sel V yaitu hold and maintain dengan total skor internal sebesar 2,8 dan faktor eksternal 2,75. Dengan demikian, strategi yang diterapkan adalah penetrasi pasar dan membangun daya angkut. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa PT Samudera Sukses Makmur yang sangat terdampak yaitu yang memiliki scope bisnis pengangkutan worldwide dan atau jenis muatan penumpang. Potential losers pada sektor maritim sesuai dengan analisis Dcode Consulting tidak terjadi pada seluruh perusahaan pelayaran nasional, jenis muatan, dan daerah pelayaran menjadi faktor utama pembedanya.

Abstract

The research aims to measure the level of satisfaction among Transjakarta bus riders. The inadequate quality of Transjakarta bus services, particularly in terms of safety, comfort, convenience, easiness, and efficiency, has been the key reason why people choose private automobiles. Decreased dedication among Transjakarta bus crew contributes to bad customer experiences, while uncertainty in schedule adherence and journey duration, combined with Jakarta traffic congestion concerns, exacerbate the effectiveness of public transportation services. By solving these difficulties, it is believed that the Transjakarta bus service in Corridor I will improve passenger happiness, promote more efficient mobility, and reduce reliance on private vehicles, thereby helping to alleviate general traffic congestion. In this thesis, the author takes a qualitative approach and uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as an analytical tool. The goal of this study is to look at the outcomes of the four factors used to evaluate passenger satisfaction: commitment, service quality, and bus feasibility. As of now, no assessment results indicate that one criterion is superior to another. The consistency level of the four criteria, as well as their sub-criteria, was then assessed based on respondents' ratings. Finally, analyzing passenger satisfaction on Transjakarta buses using the established criteria and sub-criteria. The findings of the four criteria demonstrate a trend for 29% commitment, 28% service quality, and 19% bus feasibility, with stable consistency. The research findings and calculations show an Excellent rating based on the assessment criteria in the four major aspects of commitment, service quality, and bus feasibility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of transformational leadership and culture on safety behavior through the motivation of crew members at PT. Pelayaran Karana Line branch in Pulau Batam. Using a quantitative research method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to the crew members. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on safety behavior, mediated by the motivation of the crew. These findings provide practical implications for the company's management in enhancing workplace safety onboard ships.
