Abstract

This study describes the situation of the New Normal learning period. Anxiety in the community who wants face-to-face learning to be carried out again. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method, namely research that describes the actual conditions. This research is used to analyze events, phenomena, or social realities by including analysis and interpretation of the problems studied. This research is expected to be able to see how the implementation of learning during the new normal is carried out in accordance with the provisions that apply during the covid 19 period that hit the city of Padang. Data obtained from various sources, data collection techniques through instruments carried out by researchers, such as observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects are informants, namely people who provide a description of the current situation, namely a social situation or social situation which consists of three elements, namely place (palce), actors (actors), and activities (activity) that interact synergistically. Then the analysis and conclusion, the location of this research in the city of Padang. This study sees that in the implementation of the new normal learning period after being online for a long time, it must follow the applicable rules and careful preparation in the midst of the covid 19 virus siege. Considering further that many parents of elementary school students want to return to regular learning face to face. Judging from the results of this study, learning in the new normal period is carried out well if there is cooperation between teachers, students and parents in studying at home. Full guidance for children, and the readiness of parents to take their time and continue to carry out health protocols as a condition for face-to-face learning to be reopened

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Words of The Day and words grouping activities on the Vocabulary learning outcomes of grade VIII students at MTs.S Bahrul 'Ulum Pesisir Selatan. The research was conducted in class VIII MTs.S Bahrul 'Ulum, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research is a quasi-experimental class using experimental class and control class. The research subjects taken were students in class VIII MTs.S Bahrul 'Ulum, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Data collection techniques that will be carried out in this study are tests and documentation. Data collection using student learning outcomes tests is intended to get an overview of the learning outcomes of groups of students taught using Words of The Day and word rouping activities against groups of students taught using conventional learning methods. Documentation is used to obtain data about the list of names of students who are the research subjects. The results in this study indicate that (1) that the Vocabulary learning outcomes of students using the Words of The Day learning method and word rouping activities are better than the learning outcomes of students using conventional learning methods with the value sig. (2-tailed) 0.020 < α 0.05, (2) there are differences in learning outcomes. Before and after students' Vocabulary groups used the Words of The Day learning method and word rouping activities with the value sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 < α 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to illustrate the efforts made by parents in providing sex education to children aged 6-13 years. To explain what form of child questions about sex and to explain the obstacles faced by parents in providing sex education to children aged 6-13 years in Sungai Kuyung Kecamatan Pancung Soal Sub-District. This research is field research with descriptive qualitative methods. In the determination of the sample the author uses snowball sampling. The results of the research that has been conducted in Sungai Kuyung River Village are parents trying to provide sex education to the child and answer the child's questions about sex. Here parents play a role in teaching child sex abuse by applying when entering the parent's room by asking permission before entering, teaching how to look at the situation seen by the child. Then parents also avoid the child from free sex by separating the bed between the parent and brother or sister. Parents also explain about sex to their child as much as they can

Abstract

This study aims to (a) To describe the urgency of pedagogical competence in fostering student character (b) To describe the urgency of personality competence in fostering student character (c) To describe the urgency of social competence in fostering student character (d) To describe the urgency of professional competence in coaching student character. Retrieval of data using qualitative descriptive methods to describe and describe the urgency of teacher competence in fostering student character in MTsN Pancung Soal in accordance with what it is and analyze it scientifically. Indicators of character development that need to be done in learning are reviewed from 4 (four) aspects of teacher competency, namely: (1) the urgency of pedagogical competencies in the form of understanding character values for students, applying character values in the implementation of learning, instilling character values in utilizing learning technology, evaluating learning outcomes and actualizing student potential. (2) the urgency of personality competence in the form of inculcation of character values in loving position, being fair to all students, being patient and calm, and building authority as educators. (3) the urgency of social competence in the form of instilling values of politeness in oral and written communication, the use of information technology and functional communication, associating effectively with the whole school community and student guardians. (4) the urgency of professional competence in the form of inculcation of character values in the educational foundation as well as in learning materials.

Abstract

 This research is based on low, medium and high problem solving abilities to solve contextual problems. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the problem solving abilities of SMP Negeri 34 Medan class VIII using rectangular material. The next data collection technique is interviews. The test was carried out on 29 students, where three people were selected who had high (S1), medium (S2), and low (S3) problem solving abilities. Based on the results of tests and interviews, students in the high category have four areas of mathematical problem solving ability: the ability to understand problems, the ability to formulate problem solving plans, the ability to solve problems, and recheck the answers they get.  This shows that the indicators can be met. Students show that in the medium category they are able to fulfill three indicators of mathematical problem solving ability: the ability to understand a problem, the ability to formulate a problem solving plan, and the ability to carry out problem solving. . On the other hand, students who are in the low category show that they are only able to fulfill two indicators, namely understanding the problem and planning a solution to the problem.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which primarily affects the lungs. The bacteria can also affect other organs, such as the lymph nodes, skin, digestive tract, meninges, and others. Tuberculosis is transmitted through the air. Most people who are infected do not show symptoms, as the bacteria can remain dormant in the body and become active when the immune system is compromised. The primary symptoms of pulmonary TB are a persistent cough and the production of sputum. The objective of this study is to determine the nursing care for pulmonary tuberculosis provided to Mr. R at Royal Prima Hospital in Medan. This nursing care study employs a descriptive case study research method. This is a study focused on a comprehensive, in-depth exploration of nursing care issues for a single individual, from assessment through evaluation. The assessment revealed complaints of coughing up blood for 2 days and a productive cough for 2 weeks, audible rales, weight loss, confusion, and a lack of knowledge regarding his condition. The nursing diagnoses identified were ineffective airway clearance, nutritional deficit, and knowledge deficit. The interventions implemented included airway management, bleeding prevention, nutritional management, and health education. The evaluation was conducted after the nursing interventions were implemented, resulting in the issues being fully resolved.

Abstract

Pemilihan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat sangat krusial dalam meningkatkan penalaran siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMP Al-Razi Sinar Harapan masih tergolong rendah. Sebagai upaya pemecahan masalah tersebut, penelitian ini difokuskan pada penerapan model Problem Based Learning yang secara teoretis dipandang mampu menstimulasi dan meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa secara terstruktur. Kemampuan berpikir logis dan bernalar ini diangkat karena merupakan aspek fundamental dalam prinsip pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Problem Based Learning agar kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa lebih baik dari sebelumnya yang menggunakan konvensional dengan Pre-test dan Post-test desain. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang berjumlah 54 siswa. Data pada penelitian ini menggunkan teknik tes. Rata rata nilai kelas eksperimen  lebih besar yaitu 80,07 dari pada nilai kelas kontrol yaitu 78. Skor Post-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang mana t-hitung lebih kecil dari t-tabel yaitu  t-hitung 0,985 < t-tabel 1,681 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05, sehingga diperoleh H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan terhadap kemampuan penalaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa penggunaan model Problem Based Learning merupakan solusi yang kurang tepat untuk mengembangkan penalaran yang memberikan pengaruh baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menerapkan penelitian tindakan kelas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan konsep matematika. Dalam penelitian Aksi Kelas (CAR) dua bagian ini, tiga puluh tiga siswa kelas sepuluh MAN 1 Deli Serdang berpartisipasi. Lembar observasi dan tes kemampuan menghubungkan konsep matematika digunakan sebagai alat bantu. Peningkatan kelengkapan klasik dari 27,28% menjadi 87,88% dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 1,77 menjadi 2,29 dan 3,19 ditunjukkan oleh hasil penelitian. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan konsep matematika meningkat di bawah paradigma Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah.
