Abstract

Usaha budidaya perikanan merupakan sebuah usaha pemeliharaan ikan mulai dari pembenihan, pemeliharaan, pemberian pakan sampai pemasaran ikan. Dalam usaha budidaya ikan tidak terlepas dari pakan ikan, karena pakan merupakan biaya terbesar dalam produksi mencapai 60- 70% dari biaya produksi ikan. Pakan ikan selama ini memiliki kendala salah satunya yaitu harga pakan yang tinggi yang tidak mengimbangi harga jual ikan sehingga pembudidaya merasa kewalahan dalam hal pakan ikan, apalagi pakan dengan protein tinggi sudah pasti harganya jauh lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan pakan dengan protein rendah. Metode pendekatan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode edukatif, partisipatif, dan persuasif. Prosedur kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terdiri atas beberapa tahapan, yakni: (1) Penyuluhan tentang pakan ikan buatan berbahan baku limbah, (2) penyuluhan tentang pengenalan berbagai bahan baku limbah yang berpotensi untuk dijadikan bahan pakan, (3) penyuluhan tentang teknologi pembuatan pakan ikan, (4) pelatihan dalam tahapan pembuatan pakan ikan. Hasil yang dirasakan adalah terjadi perubahan tambahan pengetahuan dan pengalaman serta skil peserta pengabdian tentang pemanfaatan bahan baku limbah untuk pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri.

Abstract

Peralihan situasi pembelajaran dari masa pandemi Covid-19 yang mengusung konsep daring dengan pembelajaran pascapandemi yang kembali pada pembelajaran luring menimbulkan adanya distraksi dalam kesiapan belajar. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan menguraikan beberapa topik permasalahan di antaranya yaitu (1) kondisi kesiapan belajar mahasiswa di masa pascapandemi; (2) pengaruh kesiapan belajar mahasiswa terhadap kondisi pembelajaran di kelas; (3) alternatif solusi dalam meminimalisir permasalahan yang muncul. Melalui pendekatan campuran antara paradigma kualitatif dan kuantitatif digunakan instrumen kuesioner dan wawancara. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan random sampling dan juga purposive sampling. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah lebih dari 50%  mahasiswa menunjukkan keraguan dalam beradaptasi, sulit mempersiapkan diri melaksanakan kelas luring, masih berusaha beradaptasi memahami materi, mahasiswa merasakan pengaruh dari ketidaksiapan belajar, keadaan kelas memberikan pengaruh terhadap aktivitas belajar, ketidaksiapan berasal dari faktor internal maupun eksternal. Kondisi kesiapan belajar menciptakan permasalahan, misalnya homesick menyebabkan mahasiswa kehilangan fokus dalam belajar, ketidaksiapan menyebabkan tugas yang diberikan dosen terasa berat dan keaktifan di kelas berkurang daripada saat kelas daring. Alternatif solusi masalah internal dosen mengevaluasi kepribadian mahasiswa dan memberikan tugas secara ideal, mahasiswa juga harus belajar beradaptasi dan mengatur waktu dengan baik. Adapun pada permasalahan eksternal dibutuhkan peran aktif pihak kampus dalam memperbaiki sarana-prasarana yang ada. The transition of the learning situation from the Covid-19 pandemic to post-pandemic learning caused a distraction in learning readiness. This study aims to examine (1) the condition of student learning readiness in the post-pandemic; (2) the effect on the class; (3) alternative solutions to minimize the problems. Through a mixed approach between qualitative and quantitative paradigms, questionnaires and interviews were used. The sample used in this study was selected based on random and purposive sampling. The results are there are more than 50% students who show doubts, it is difficult to prepare themselves to carry out offline classes, they are still trying to adapt to understand the material, students feel the influence of learning unpreparedness, class conditions influence learning activities, unpreparedness comes from internal and external factors. Those conditions create problems, being homesick causes students to lose focus, unpreparedness causes assignments given by lecturers to feel heavy, and activity in class decreases compared to online classes. Alternative solutions to the lecturer's internal problems evaluate students' personalities and give assignments ideally, students must also learn to adapt and manage their time well. As for external problems, the active role of the campus is needed to improve existing facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

There are many positive impacts of globalization to support human life today, but it cannot be denied that there is also a negative influence of globalization on regional cultural roots which have actually shaped the character of this nation. Oral literature, as a form of regional culture, has power in terms of human change, through literary works readers/listeners can understand and appreciate various life problems. Efforts are needed to preserve it so that it continues to exist and be sustainable, so that it is able to protect society's morality from the bad influences of globalization. This article attempts to describe the current situation regarding the preservation of the oral literature of the Sai Batin community in West Lampung Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, data collection uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Followed by data reduction activities, presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there is oral literature that can be found, including Butettah, Ngehahedo, Nyambai, Muayak as well as Bubandung and Hahiwang. However, some of these things no longer exist in the context of tradition. The existence of Ngehahedo and Muayak is only found on YouTube pages, competitions and art performances.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Hatchery dan Teknologi Budidaya Perairan Program Studi Budidaya perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Malikussaleh, dimulai dari tanggal 27 April - 26 Mei 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dosis probiotik yang tepat pada pemeliharaan untuk dapat menjaga kualitas air dan mengetahui umur benih yang tepat untuk dapat memanfaatkan probiotik dengan baik sehingga meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih maskoki. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial dengan dua faktor. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu enam perlakuan dan tiga ulangan dengan pemberian probiotik 1,5 mg/L-2,0 mg/L untuk benih maskoki berumur satu dan dua bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan probiotik pada media pemeliharaan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat dan kualitas air tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan panjang, kelangsungan hidup, dan konversi pakan benih maskoki (Carassius auratus) pada umur yang berbeda. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bawah parameter kualitas air yang diukur selama penelitian menunjukkan kisaran yang sesuai atau masih dapat ditolerir untuk pemeliharaan benih ikan maskoki yaitu dengan kisaran suhu 27,1-27,7 °C, DO 6,0-9,0 mg/L, pH 7,2-7,5, amonia 0,03-0,12 mg/L, nitrit 0,012-0,090 mg/L, dan nitrat 0,023-3,52 mg/L. Perlakuan A2B2 dengan dosis 1,5 ml/L pada benih berumur dua bulan merupakan dosis terbaik yang menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup tertinggi sebesar 73,33 %, namun laju pertumbuhan panjang, berat, dan nilai konversi tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A3B2 dengan dosis 2,0 ml/L pada benih berumur dua bulan yaitu sebesar 0,39 cm, 0,52 gr, dan 0,48 gr.The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Agriculture Hatchery and Technology Aquaculture Departement Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University, started on April 27th to Mey 26th 2015. The purpose of this study is know the dosage probiotics proper in maintenance for can keep of water quality and know age larvae proper to can use probiotics well raising growth and survival seed goldfish. The research used experimental method with factorials by using complete randommized design (CRD) with two factors. Those who used the six treatment and three remedial by the provision of probiotics 1.5 mg / l-2,0 mg / l for seed maskoki mature in one and two months. The research results show that the use of probiotics in a media maintenance influential very real on the growth of heavy and water quality but has not been affecting the growth long , survival , and conversion of the feed goldfish larvae at the age of different .Our observations showed under parameter a quality of water that measured for research shows a range appropriate or can still be tolerated for the maintenance of  goldfish larvae namely by the temperature range 27,1-27,7 °C, DO 6,0-9,0 mg/L, pH 7,2-7,5, ammonia 0,03-0,12 mg/L, nitrites 0,012-0,090 mg/L, and nitrate 0,023-3,52 mg/L. Treatment with doses A2B2 1.5 mg/L on larvae was two months is doses best that produces survival highest of 73,33 %, but growth rate long, heavy, and the conversion is highest in treatment A3B2 with doses 2,0 ml / l on larvae was two months is as much as 0.39 cm, 0,52 gr, and 0,48 gr.

Abstract

Dalam usaha budidaya ikan, pakan merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan dalam budidaya. Selain itu pakan juga memberikan kontribusi yang besar terhadap biaya mencapai 60-70% dari biaya produksi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu dilakukan teknik untuk meningkatkan kadar protein dari pakan, salah satunya dengan cara fermentasi. Selanjutnya limbah dari pakan juga merupakan suatu kendala dalam usaha budidaya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukan terobosan dalam sistem budidaya, salah satunya dengan menggunakan system bioflok dengan memanfaatkan bakteri heterotrofik. Selain memperbaiki kualitas air, bioflok juga menyediakan pakan secara insitu, sehingga mampu mengurangi biaya pakan dengan meningkatkan nilai efesiensi pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aplikasi pakan berprotein terfermentasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan konversi pakan ikan lele (Clarias sp.) menggunakan sistem bioflok. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan ditempat pembudidayaan lele di desa mesjid punteut dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan mengaplikasikan 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan sehingga diperoleh 9 satuan percobaan. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi laju pertumbuhan ikan, kelangsungan hidup dan efesiensi pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian probiotik pada pakan memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap laju pertumbuhan ikan 4.95%, tingkat kelangsungan hidup 97.77% dan efesiensi pakan 98.86%.Kata kunci: bioflok; ikan lele; kinerja; probiotik In aquaculture, fish feed is one of the factors that determine success in aquaculture. Besides, the feed also contributes significantly to costs reaching 60-70% of production costs. Based on this, it is necessary to use techniques to increase the protein of the feed; one of them is by fermentation. In addition, waste from the feed is also a problem in the aquaculture business. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to make a breakthrough in the aquaculture system, one of these is using a biofloc system by utilizing heterotrophic bacteria. Besides improving water quality, biofloc also provides in situ feed, so it would reduce feed costs by increasing the value of feed efficiency. This study aims to analyze the application of fermented protein feed on growth and feed conversion of catfish (Clarias sp.) using the biofloc system. This research was carried out in the catfish culture at punteut mosque village using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method by applying three treatments and three replications to obtain nine experimental units. Parameters observed in this study include fish growth rate, survival and feed efficiency. The results showed that the administration of probiotics in feed gives the best results on fish growth rate of 4.95%, survival rate of 97.77% and feed efficiency of 98.86%.Keywords: biofloc; catfish; performance; probiotics

Abstract

The tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) is an economically important fish whose fry still relies on natural catches. Several species of grouper are very potential to be cultivated because of their fast growth, efficient feed conversion, and high selling value. The purpose of this study is growth performance and survival rate tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) used different live feed. The research design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments 3 replications and continued with LSD test if there were differences. The treatments given are treatment A (Snail), treatment B (Chicken Intestine), and treatment C (Caterpillar Maggot). Parameters observed were length increase, weight gain, survival, feed response, and water quality. The results of this study indicate that the highest increase was found in the treatment of C: 4,04 cm and the lowest was in treatment B: 3 cm, the highest weight gain was found in the treatment of C: 3,73 grams, and the lowest was in treatment B: 2,18 grams. The survival rate for all treatments is 100%. During this study the temperature ranged (28.6-31.8 oC), pH (6.7-8.2), DO (6.3-8.1 ppm), and salinity (23-27 ppt).Keywords: growth, live feed, survival rate, tiger grouper.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of feeding containing ecdysteroid hormones to increase the growth and reproduction of mangrove crabs so as to produce optimal reproduction of mangrove crabs. This research was conducted from August to October 2021 at the Hatchery and Cultivation Technology Laboratory. The method used in this study was a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, the addition of ecdysteroid hormone 5.50 ml, 7.50 ml, 9.50 ml and 0 ml. The results showed that the addition of ecdysteroid hormones to the feed significantly affected the moulting rate, weight gain, shell length and width and the survival of mud crabs. The best treatment was found in the 5.50 ml treatment with a molting rate of 16 days, weight gain of 12.09 grams, length of 1.84 cm, width of 7.33 and survival rate of 100%. The water quality during the study showed that it was still in a good range or can be tolerated by mangrove crabs, the water quality range was temperature 26.5-27 oC, pH 7.0-8.0, DO 6.3-6.8 mg, and salinity 34 - 35 ppt.Keywords: Ecdysteroids; Growth; Mangrove Crab; Moulting; Reproduction.

Abstract

In carp farming, it is not enough to rely solely on efforts to spur the growth of the fish, but it needs to be accompanied by efficient measures for the feed, this can be done by improving the quality of feed, especially the Feed energy. The source of fat that can be added to feed as an energy source is fish oil and lecithin. This research was aimed to findout the impact of the given various doses addition of the fish oil in the fish woof and to find out the best doses of the fish oil through the growth, the feed conversion ratio and the progression of carp fish life The study was conducted on December to January at Hatchery and Tecnology Aquaculture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Malikussaleh. The method used a nonfactorial completely randomized design with four treatments and three replications, namely A (fish oil 0,90 %), B (fish oil 1,2 %), C (fish oil 1,5 %) and D commercial feed (control). The result showed that fish oil with different doses had very significant different effect on growth, significantly different to feed conversion ratio and not significantly different to survival. the best treatment was found in treatment C by giving fish oil 1,5 %.Keywords: feed; fish oil; growth; carp

Abstract

This study aims to reduce production costs for feed by adding the pineapple waste extract to commercial feed which increases feed utilization efficiency, relative growth rate, protein efficiency ratio, Survival rate, water quality, and Organoleptic Test. This research was conducted from March 31 to April 28, 2022. At the Hatchery and Technology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture Department of Aquaculture. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replications. Treatment A (0% pineapple waste extract + 100 gr feed) B (3% pineapple waste extract + 100 gr feed) C (4% pineapple waste extract + 100 gr feed) D (5% pineapple waste extract + 100 gr feed). The best results from treatment C with feed utilization efficiency of 80.45%, relative growth rate of 4.79%/day and protein efficiency ratio of 1.73%/day. Survival 81,66% and Water Quality. Temperature 26 - 28 oC, DO 7,0 - 7,5 mg/L, pH 7,1 - 7,3, Salinity 32 ppt, Ammonia 0,04-0,08 mg/L. and Organoleptic Test of Color and Scent, the best feed has a very brown color and does not have an overpowering Scent.Keywords: Growth; Pineapple; Survival rate; Vaname Shrimp.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the hormone thyroxine in feed to increase the efficiency of growth performance and revive the life of the cantang grouper (Epinephelus sp.). Something that can be done to achieve this goal is to provide the hormone thyroxine in fish feed to increase growth acceleration. This study used an experimental method using a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatments in this study were: thyroxine hormone A (0 mg), B (6 mg), C (7 mg), D (8 mg), and E (9 mg). Parameters observed were: feed efficiency (ep), growth rate, feed conversion ratio (FCR), fish behavior, and survival. The results showed that fish behavior during rearing included fish movement, appetite, and fish skin color. The most active swimming fish were found in all treatments which were given feed containing the hormone thyroxine. The best feed efficiency (EP) value in treatment E was 76.29%. The value of the feed conversion ratio (FCR) in treatment E was 1.76%. The best growth was in treatment E in weight (2.88 cm) and length (36.85 cm). The best survival in treatments C and D was 98%. Water quality parameters during the study were temperature 27-280C, pH 7.0-7.9, Salinity 25-30 ppt, DO 5.9-6.9ppm, and Ammonia 0.0359-0.1946 ppm. The results of the observations showed that there were differences in fish-fed hormone-containing feed for 60 days and fish behavior.
