Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui potensi Candi Asu sebagai sumber belajar IPS bagi peserta didik SMP di kecamatan Sawangan, Magelang, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif mulai bulan Maret hingga September 2019. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 7 orang informan terdiri dari penjaga candi dan guru IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Candi Asu di Sawangan, Magelang mempunyai potensi yang besar sebagai sumber belajar IPS bagi peserta didik di sekitar lokasi. Kompetensi tentang sumber daya alam, kondisi geografis, serta tema tentang perubahan serta kesinambungan masyarakat Indonesia pada masa Hindhu dan Buddha untuk dipelajari dengan menggunakan Candi Asu dan lingkungan sekitarnya sebagai sumber belajar. Model pembelajaran inquiry, discovery, maupun project-based learning dapat dipraktikkan dengan kreatif, inovatif dan menyenangkan dalam setting belajar Candi Asu dan lingkungan sekitarnya.The potential of Asu Temple as a social studies learning resource in junior high schoolThe purpose of the study was to determine the prospective of Asu Temple as a Social Studies learning resourcefulness for junior high school students in Sawangan sub-district, Magelang, Central Java. The research was carried out using qualitative research methods from March to September 2019. The research subjects consisted of 7 informants consisting of temple guards and social studies teachers. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that Asu Temple in Sawangan, Magelang has great potential as a Social Studies learning resource for students around the location. Competence on natural resources, geographical conditions, as well as themes about the changes and continuity of Indonesian society during the Hindu and Buddhist eras to be studied using Asu Temple and the surrounding environment as learning resources. Inquiry, discovery, and project-based learning models can be practiced by teacher creatively, innovatively and fun in the Social Studies learning in which setting of Asu Temple and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Kemiskinan masih menjadi permasalahan utama di daerah tertinggal di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2021, seluruh 24 kabupaten termiskin di Indonesia dikategorikan daerah tertinggal. Tingkat ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi di wilayah ini masih cukup tinggi, mencakup aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, dan ketenagakerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi terhadap kemiskinan di daerah tertinggal, dengan menggunakan analisis data panel dari 62 kabupaten selama periode 2015–2021. Variabel ketimpangan sosial yang digunakan meliputi Gini rata-rata lama sekolah (ketimpangan pendidikan), gap gender melek huruf, angka harapan hidup, angka kesakitan, angka beban ketergantungan, serta persentase penduduk miskin pekerja informal. Sementara itu, ketimpangan ekonomi meliputi indikator rasio Gini pendapatan dan produk domestik regional bruto (PDRB) per kapita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketimpangan pendidikan di daerah tertinggal berada pada kategori sedang, begitu pula dengan ketimpangan pendapatan. Selain itu, kesenjangan kesehatan masih terlihat dengan angka harapan hidup yang lebih rendah dibandingkan rata-rata nasional, terutama pada perempuan. Analisis regresi data panel menunjukkan bahwa ketimpangan pendidikan, persentase penduduk miskin pekerja informal, dan PDRB per kapita memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap tingkat kemiskinan. Sebaliknya, angka harapan hidup, ketimpangan pendapatan, dan angka beban ketergantungan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap kemiskinan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi pentingnya upaya komprehensif untuk mengatasi ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi guna menurunkan tingkat kemiskinan. Implikasi kebijakan yang direkomendasikan untuk Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI) dan stakeholders terkait adalah adanya perhatian khusus pada penanganan ketimpangan sosial ekonomi melalui kurikulum pendidikan relevan, penguatan kesehatan preventif, pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal, dan adaptasi program perlindungan sosial, termasuk sinergi antarlembaga dan pemberdayaan perempuan.

Abstract

Globalization has brought diverse cultures and values that have gradually eroded the local wisdom of the Sasak tribe. This decline—exacerbated by globalization, the COVID-19 pandemic, weak educational transmission, and cultural change—has prompted community leaders and government actors to intensify preservation efforts. Previous studies have largely examined Sasak local wisdom from anthropological or cultural perspectives, focusing on documentation or historical description. However, few have analyzed the concrete and collaborative strategies undertaken by multiple community stakeholders to sustain and revitalize these values amid modern globalization. This study fills that gap by investigating how village governments, religious leaders, traditional figures, and youth organizations collectively work to preserve and renew Sasak local wisdom as a living cultural system. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, this research employs observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal several strategic initiatives: (1) village heads organize cultural festivals, commemorate village anniversaries with local themes, restore historical sites, and collaborate on curriculum development; (2) religious leaders strengthen moral and spiritual awareness through weekly studies and Islamic holiday celebrations; (3) traditional leaders conduct training on sorong serah aji krame, traditional etiquette, and cultural identity; and (4) youth leaders establish the “Remaje Sasak” community as a hub for information exchange, learning, and the practice of local wisdom. These collective efforts provide a platform for the Sasak people—especially the younger generation—to preserve, internalize, and embody the values rooted in their cultural heritage. The study’s implications highlight that integrated collaboration among local stakeholders offers a replicable model for other communities seeking to protect and sustain their cultural identity amid the transformative pressures of globalization. Globalisasi telah membawa beragam budaya dan nilai-nilai baru yang secara perlahan mengikis kearifan lokal masyarakat Suku Sasak. Kemerosotan ini—yang diperparah oleh arus globalisasi, pandemi COVID-19, lemahnya transmisi pendidikan, dan perubahan budaya—telah mendorong para pemimpin masyarakat serta pemerintah desa untuk meningkatkan upaya pelestarian kearifan lokal. Penelitian sebelumnya umumnya mengkaji kearifan lokal Sasak dari perspektif antropologis atau kebudayaan dengan penekanan pada dokumentasi dan deskripsi historis. Namun, hanya sedikit yang menelaah strategi konkret dan kolaboratif yang dilakukan oleh berbagai pemangku kepentingan masyarakat dalam mempertahankan serta merevitalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut di tengah arus globalisasi modern. Penelitian ini mengisi kesenjangan tersebut dengan menganalisis bagaimana pemerintah desa, tokoh agama, tokoh adat, dan organisasi kepemudaan bekerja sama untuk melestarikan dan memperbarui kearifan lokal Sasak sebagai sistem budaya yang hidup. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa inisiatif strategis, yaitu: (1) kepala desa menyelenggarakan festival budaya, memperingati hari jadi desa dengan tema kearifan lokal, memulihkan situs bersejarah, dan bekerja sama dalam pengembangan kurikulum; (2) tokoh agama memperkuat kesadaran moral dan spiritual melalui pengajian rutin dan perayaan hari besar Islam; (3) tokoh adat memberikan pelatihan tentang sorong serah aji krame, etika tradisional, dan identitas budaya; serta (4) tokoh pemuda membentuk komunitas “Remaje Sasak” sebagai pusat informasi, pembelajaran, dan praktik kearifan lokal. Upaya kolektif ini menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat Sasak—khususnya generasi muda—untuk melestarikan, menginternalisasi, dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai luhur yang tertanam dalam warisan budaya mereka. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kolaborasi terpadu antar pemangku kepentingan lokal dapat menjadi model bagi komunitas lain dalam menjaga dan memperkuat identitas budaya di tengah tekanan globalisasi.

Abstract

This research developed, designed, and implemented a cane prototype with the ability to identify spatial conditions, which can help the mobility of blind people in the form of decision information on choosing a path that is free from obstacles. The electronic space sensing system uses ultrasonic-type non-contact/non-visual sensors. Ultrasonic sensors are installed at three points: left, front, and right (L, F, R) of the stick. When the stick swings left-right or vice versa, each sensor will produce an array of distance data and then average it. The average distance of each point is calculated by the Left Side Square Area (LSSA) and Right Side Square Area (RSSA). The LSSA and RSSA values ​​are used as fuzzy input, a fuzzy inference process is carried out using a rule base, and defuzzification is used for decision output on the microcontroller. The system translates the decision results into sound (beep) and vibration information for the user. The results of the second experiment with blind people in two different scenarios show that the system can be an effective support during mobility in the hall and is a feasible prototype for training blind people with new O&M techniques towards the use of travel aids.

Abstract

The Saparan tradition is carried out every Safar month and is followed by village communities with differences. This research aims to determine the values of tolerance in the Saparan Tradition in Pondok Wonolelo Hamlet, Widodomartani, Ngemplak, Sleman. The type of research used by researchers is naturalistic qualitative. Data collection used was observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the forms of tolerance values in the Saparan Tradition in Pondok Wonolelo Hamlet are 1) attitudes of mutual respect and respect for other people and cooperation are found in recitation activities, heritage parades, bregodo parades, distribution of apem and supporting events, 2) attitudes not discriminating/discriminating and not hurting/interfering with other people's freedom is found in the heritage carnival, bregodo carnival, apem distribution, and supporting events, and 3) caring for each other is found in the heirloom carnival, bregodo carnival, and supporting events. However, during the heirloom carnival and bregodo activities during traditional ceremonies, the implementation of the event still differentiates in its reception between poor and rich people. Apart from that, there is still a lack of concern during recitations, heritage carnivals and bregodo for the elderly/disabled. In short, the Saparan Tradition can bring values of tolerance to the people of Pondok Wonolelo Hamlet. However, in practice, the community is still not tolerant of some Saparan Tradition activities. This research recommends the importance of mutual tolerance between members of society. Tradisi Saparan dilaksanakan pada setiap bulan Safar yang diikuti oleh masyarakat desa dengan beragamnya perbedaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai toleransi pada Tradisi Saparan di Dusun Pondok Wonolelo, Widodomartani, Ngemplak, Sleman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah kualitatif naturalistik. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk nilai-nilai toleransi pada Tradisi Saparan di Dusun Pondok Wonolelo, yaitu 1) sikap saling menghargai dan menghormati orang lain serta gotong royong terdapat pada kegiatan pengajian, kirab pusaka, kirab bregodo, penyebaran apem dan acara penunjang, 2) sikap tidak mendiskriminasi/membeda-bedakan dan tidak menyakiti/mengganggu kebebasan orang lain terdapat pada kirab pusaka, kirab bregodo, penyebaran apem dan acara penunjang, dan 3) saling peduli terdapat pada kegiatan kirab pusaka, kirab bregodo dan acara penunjang. Namun, pada kegiatan kirab pusaka dan bregodo saat upacara adat dalam pelaksanaan acara masih membeda-bedakan dalam penyambutannya antara masyarakat yang miskin dan kaya. Selain itu, masih terdapat sikap kurang peduli saat pengajian, kirab pusaka dan bregodo pada lansia/difabel. Secara singkat, Tradisi Saparan dapat menghadirkan nilai-nilai toleransi pada masyarakat Dusun Pondok Wonolelo, namun dalam pelaksanaannya masyarakat masih tidak bersifat toleran dalam beberapa kegiatan Tradisi Saparan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya saling toleransi antar anggota masyarakat.

Abstract

This qualitative research aims to analyze the phenomenon of bullying in schools to develop social sciences learning materials using literature studies and thematic synthesis. The research method includes collecting secondary literature from various indexed and accredited journals (Google Scholar, ISSN, Sinta, and Scopus), research reports, and credible documents published between 2015 and 2025. The thematic synthesis process includes initial coding, theme development, theme validation, theme naming, and compiling a narrative synthesis. This study has divided its findings into two main categories: 1) Development of Social Studies (IPS) learning materials on bullying in schools, which include the history of bullying, factors causing bullying, various forms of bullying, impacts of bullying, and the basis of contemporary social theory to understand the dynamics of bullying. 2) Strategies for developing Social Studies (IPS) learning materials for bullying prevention that can be implemented through Problem-Based Learning (PBL), strengthening social behavior, integration of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and the application of proposed social learning theories to encourage critical reflection and development of student empathy. This study's results provide a reference for Social Studies teachers, curriculum developers, researchers, and policymakers aiming to reduce and prevent bullying through an anti-bullying-focused Social Studies curriculum.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi mendorong perubahan sistem perkuliahan tidak cukup dengan tatap muka dikelas. Perkuliahan asinkronous atau sistem e-learning menghadirkan tantangan tersendiri untuk menyediakan bahan ajar yang relevan. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar analisis real berbasis mobile learning yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan model 3D yang mencakup tahap define, design, dan develop. Penelitian ini dilakukan di program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Unversitas Peradaban pada tahun akademik 2024/2025 dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 12 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar analisis real berbasis mobile learning yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif. Validitas bahan ajar terlihat dari rata-rata tingkat validitas sebesar 91% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Praktikalitas bahan ajar terlihat dari tingkat praktikalitas menurut dosen dan mahasiswa berturut-turut adalah 92,5% dan 91% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Sementara efektifitas bahan ajar terlihat dari 100% mahasiswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar dapat mencapai ambang batas nilai 70. Selain itu, efektifitas juga terlihat dari perbedaan rata-rata nilai mahasiswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar dengan yang tidak menggunakan. Hal ini dipertegas hasil uji t dengan SPSS yang menunjukkan nilai thitung = 2,092 > ttabel = 1,997 dan nilai sig. (2-tailed) = 0,040 < α = 0,05.

Abstract

The use of GeoGebra as an interactive learning medium in geometry has become a major focus in various mathematics education studies. GeoGebra allows dynamic visualization of geometric objects and supports student engagement in understanding concepts more deeply. As the number of publications discussing the use of GeoGebra in geometry learning at the secondary school level increases, a comprehensive review is needed to identify trends, focus directions, and open research gaps. Therefore, this study aims to identify and map trends and research focuses on the use of GeoGebra in geometry learning in secondary schools through a descriptive bibliometric approach. Data in this study were obtained from the Google Scholar database with a total of 480 published articles that have been selected through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The results of the analysis show that the publication trend increased significantly in the period 2020–2025, with the highest citation peak occurring in 2022, namely 840 citations. The most dominant journals covering this topic are the Rafflesia Journal of Mathematics Education and the Cendekia Journal. The main focus of the research is divided into six large groups: GeoGebra; geometry; junior high school students; mathematics learning in secondary schools; application of the discovery model; and studies of algebra and problem solving. These findings not only provide a comprehensive overview of the development of GeoGebra research but also reveal potential new themes that can be developed in further studies.

Abstract

This study discusses blended learning as a new learning method offers learning that applies technology that erases distance and place. We took articles published in scopus journals. Bibliometric analysis was used with the help of Biblioshiny and VOSviewer to analyze numbers, countries, institutions, authors, journals, references, and keywords. In the process of the prism diagram, we found 181 out of a total of 199 initial articles that we analyzed in scopus. in the analysis of the country Indonesia became the most productive country, then the university of cape coast organization became the most active institution, the international journal emerging of technologies became the most published journal, while Barvell became the researcher who published the most research, the most relevant Keywords are students, learning and education. Blended learning will continue to grow with the challenges of technology-based learning methods. The implications of this research show that the global trend of blended learning can continue to be developed.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of advanced AI tools, such as ChatGPT, on student’s academic performance. Additionally, it investigates the mediating role of student’s engagement and motivation in the relationship between AI tools and Academic performance in the department of Social Sciences Education at State University of Yogyakarta. This study has adopted a quantitative approach and has collected data from 52 undergraduate students enrolled in specified sample. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS. The findings indicate that AI tools significantly correlated with academic performance (r = 0.717, p < .01), while also  also showing positive correlation with student engagement (r = 0.692, p < .01) and motivation ( r = 0.658, p < 0.01). Furthermore, it improves comprehension of students, and provides self-directed learning. However, concern regarding over-reliance on AI is also identified, particularly its potential impact on critical thinking. This study highlights the importance of responsible AI integration, emphasizing the need to create balance between AI-driven learning and traditional methods. Educational Institutions must develop strategies that maintain student’s critical thinking and analytical skills while using AI tools. As a researcher, I believe the findings can assist institutions and instructors in implementing AI technologies into teaching practices in way that enhances academic performance, engagement, and motivation, while still fostering autonomous and critical thinking among students.
