Abstract

Background: Negative emotional states among pregnant women is an issue that should not be ignored due to its widespread impact on the health of mothers and babies, which can last for the long term. In addition to affecting physical conditions. This study aims to describe negative emotional states in pregnant women and its risk factors. Methods: The research method used is descriptive analysis. The study population consists of all pregnant women in Magelang City, totaling 540 individuals, with a purposive sample of 214 individuals. Respondents were asked to complete a questionnaire containing data on respondent characteristics and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS). The collected data will then be analyzed using frequency distribution tables and logistic regression to determine the influencing risk factors. Results: Prevalence negative emotional states : most experiencing mild depression (71%), most experiencing moderate anxiety (68%), with the majority experiencing moderate stress (57%), and total negative emotional states(experiencing at least one): 67,8%. Negative emotional states was higher in those aged < 20 years or > 35 years (p = 0.019), those with low education (p = 0.041), those with low family support (p < 0.001), and those with a pregnancy related illness (p = 0.024). The logistic regression results showed that the dominant risk factor was low family support (OR = 3.9; 95% CI: 1.9–7.8), followed by a pregnancy related illness (OR = 2.5; 95% CI: 1.2–5.2).Conclusion: Negative emotional statescan occur in pregnant women, especially those who are too young or too old, unemployed, have little support from their husbands, and have a history of obstetric complications. Health workers are expected to help pregnant women minimize negative emotional states .

Abstract

The removal of Co(II) ions using Fe-MCM-41 adsorbent was studied. Fe-MCM-41 was synthesized by the sonochemical method and then interacted with solutions containing Co(II) ions at various concentrations. The Langmuir equation indicated monolayer adsorption could be well-fitted for the adsorption isotherms. The maximum adsorption capacity of Co(II) ions on Fe-MCM-41 was 62.89 mg/g. Therefore, it could be conclude that the concentration of Co(II) ions in an aqueous solution can be reduced by using Fe-MCM-41 adsorbent.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) are one of the driving forces of the economy in a local area and a booster for the community's welfare. One of the obstacles often faced by the bread entrepreneurs in Singosari District, Malang Regency, is the lack of quality product packaging that still uses manual tools and is not optimal in creating marketing content. This community service aims to provide automatic plastic seal press machines and training on marketing content creation for micro-business actors in the bread entrepreneurs so that it is expected to increase partners' competitiveness. The stages of community service were observation and coordination, providing machines, handing over machines, holding training, and evaluation. The results of the community service activities showed that the training participants were enthusiastic and actively participated during the training. The quality of product packaging after using a plastic seal press machine has also improved, evidenced by a tighter and well-protected packaging seal. The copywriting training has also broadened the participants' knowledge about strategies for creating product marketing content by utilizing applications available on Android.

Abstract

Learning retention is the ability of students to remember learning material after some time. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules that can increase learning retention is rarely developed. The research aims to determine students' learning retention after using the videoscribe animation-based science E-module. This research is quantitative descriptive. The sample selection using cluster random sampling selected students from class VII.B of SMPN 5 Depok, Yogyakarta with a total of 32 students. The data collection technique is a test technique using a pretest and posttest question instrument totaling 6 questions. The test instrument is in the form of multiple-choice questions, to determine student retention, a retest is carried out one week after the posttest activity. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive to determine the score presentation. The pretest score percentage was 43.31% in the fair category, the posttest was 79.17% in the good category, and the retest score was 91.14% in the very good category. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules influences student learning retention with the average being in the good category, indicating that student retention has increased after being taught using videoscribe animation-based e-modules

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the profiles of Pancasila students that students must possess in the independent curriculum. Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that students need in solving problems. This research aims to describe the implementation of interactive Science ebooks based on PBL to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in the topic of environmental pollution. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of the study is all seventh-grade students of SMPN in Yogyakarta. The sample of this research is the seventh-grade student’s one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta, selected through simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a multiple-choice critical thinking test with five indicators. Indicators of critical thinking abilities are explaining, evaluation, concluding, analysis, and designing strategies. The results showed an improvement in critical thinking skills through the N-gain test of 0.8, indicating a high category. The average indicator of students' critical thinking skills who obtained the highest score was the explaining indicator with an average of 90.5%, while the indicator with the lowest average among students' critical thinking skills was the analysis indicator with an average of 70.01%. This indicates that the use of Science Ebook Innovation Based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) can enhance the critical thinking skills of students. It is expected that this research can provide references for future researchers, and innovations related to interactive teaching materials can be developed not only for one subject but for all subjects in middle school science.
