Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces major challenges in the 21st century, particularly regarding the gap in education quality between urban and rural areas and the low adaptability to new technologies and learning methods. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) are considered potential approaches to address these challenges. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of PBL in improving students' understanding of ESD concepts. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various relevant previous studies. The results showed that PBL is effective in improving students' understanding of sustainability issues through active and collaborative learning. PBL applied to science subjects, such as Biology and Chemistry, as well as social, such as Economics, has been shown to improve critical thinking, creative, and problem-solving skills. In the context of ESD, students who learn through PBL are better able to integrate sustainability principles in practicum activities and group discussions. Several studies have also shown that the use of ESD-based modules in PBL helps improve student learning outcomes, both in theoretical understanding and applicative skills. However, these studies also identified challenges in implementation, such as students' low science literacy, limited integration of sustainability principles, and the lack of knowledge of sustainability.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital leadership on job rotation and talent mobility within the public sector, addressing challenges posed by hierarchical structures and bureaucratic inertia. The research aims to determine whether digital leadership enhances these processes and fosters workforce adaptability. A quantitative approach utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to analyze data from 32 Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs respondents. The findings reveal that digital leadership significantly impacts job rotation and talent mobility, with respective T-scores of 3.438 and 9.702 and P-values below the 0.05 threshold. Digital leadership explains 27.6% of the variance in job rotation and 61.7% in talent mobility, underscoring its role in streamlining career planning and cross-functional development. Tools such as predictive analytics and immersive technologies were identified as pivotal in enhancing talent management practices. This research highlights the transformative potential of digital leadership in overcoming public sector barriers, contributing to more responsive and agile organizational operations. By linking leadership strategies to workforce adaptability, this study provides actionable insights for improving public service efficiency and enriching the theoretical framework of digital leadership. These findings underscore the importance of fostering innovation and continuous learning in addressing contemporary organizational challenges.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify the level of digital financial literacy among aspiring vocational education students in Riau Province. A critical talent in the digital age is financial literacy, particularly in the context of business and financial transactions that increasingly incorporate technology. 226 participants from a private institution in Riau Province's Accounting Education Study Program participated in this study. This study uses quantitative descriptive research methodologies to provide a thorough picture of the digital financial literacy of prospective vocational teachers. According to the study's findings, vocational teacher candidates in Riau Province have a sufficient understanding of digital financial products and services (75.18%) and experience using digital financial products and services (74.04%), but their knowledge of digital financial risks (55.79%) and expertise in managing digital financial resources (51.67%) are still lacking. Men and women who are financially literate online do differ slightly, but they nonetheless confront many of the same obstacles. As a result, the vocational teacher education curriculum  must adopt a learning strategy that places a greater emphasis on digital financial hazards and practical financial management abilities.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Import (IMP), Inflation (INF), and Unemployment (UNP) in South Korea using the panel vector error correction model (VECM), cointegration, and Granger. VECM is used to analyze the relationship or causality between variables involved in this research in the short and long run. From the estimation results, especially on the variables of interest, there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between Gross Domestic Product, Import, Inflation, and Unemployment, which refers more to short-term causality. Impulse Response Function analysis is used to determine the impact between variables where the results that had a positive effect during the Covid-19 pandemic were import shocks to GDP and unemployment shocks to GDP, while those that had a negative impact were inflation rate shocks to GDP in South Korea during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and evaluate learning media for sustainable development, specifically through a board game entitled “Board Game Maju Indonesiaku”. The game is designed around the dilemma between biodiversity conservation and economic development, covering four core systems concepts: economics, policy, society, and ecology. The study involved 61 middle school students who played the game for 360 minutes (180 minutes per week). Data was collected through post-test assessments and game performance. An independent t-test was used to analyze the post-test scores. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, with a moderate effect size overall. Notably, there were large effects on the biodiversity concept dimension and moderate effects on the biological conservation concept dimension. The game performance analysis indicated that secondary school students faced challenges in achieving the four sustainable economic development goals. This research highlights the potential of game-based learning as an effective strategy for teaching complex concepts related to sustainable development. It also underscores the need for further refinement of educational tools better to support student understanding and application of these concepts.

Abstract

Education is important in human life because it helps people build strong character and morality, helping them to distinguish between what is right and wrong. This research aims to determine what forms of social support exist, what the role of social support is, and what the causes of low decision-making are in continuing higher education in Indonesia. This type of research used a systematic analysis of literature review. In refining the data that has been collected, the researcher identified, filtered, feasibility and clarified the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. The data in this study were secondary data from 2020-2024 obtained from data Dimensions and Google Scholar. The results showed that 1) Forms of social support in the findings come from peers, parental motivation, parental support, family economic status, parental education, social environment, counselling guidance and homeroom teacher, facilities and infrastructure; 2) with the existence of social support for the decision to continue higher education, each individual received a more decent education, promising work, continued to exist in society, extended family assistance, and shaped the character and morals of the person, parental economic support was not one of the obstacles in continuing higher education due to the availability of scholarships; 3) The causes of the low decision to continue higher education were from internal and external factors. It can be concluded that understanding the many forms of social support and tackling the barriers to educational advancement are critical for increasing access to higher education.

Abstract

The halal industry in Indonesia faces significant challenges in establishing a sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) in an increasingly competitive global market. One key factor that could support this advantage is the adoption of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices and the promotion of green knowledge sharing. This study investigates the relationship between GHRM practices, green knowledge sharing, and the achievement of SCA within the Indonesian halal industry. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, the study utilizes the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory to analyze relevant literature. The search was conducted using Scopus and Google Scholar databases, focusing on GHRM, knowledge sharing, and competitive advantage. The findings indicate that GHRM positively influences SCA, with green knowledge sharing acting as both a mediator and moderator that strengthens this effect. Additionally, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), driven by green leadership, further contributes to the achievement of SCA. This research offers theoretical insights into the application of RBV within the halal industry and underscores the significance of green knowledge sharing and OCB in fostering sustainable competitive advantage. The practical implication of these findings highlights the importance of implementing effective GHRM practices and cultivating a green knowledge-sharing culture to enhance sustainability in the halal sector. The study's limitation lies in its reliance on existing literature, without empirical analysis in the field.
