Abstract

Pendidikan adalah tantangan besar abad ini. Jika tidak mengubah cara mendidik dan belajar mengajar, maka 30 tahun mendatang kita akan mengalami kesulitan besar. Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi semakin pesat seiring dengan perkembangan abad 21. Pembelajaran abad 21 harus melatih peserta didik untuk memiliki 4 kompetensi (4C) yaitu critical thinking, communication, collaboration, dan creativity. Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini yaitu kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi yang kompleks dan kemampuan dalam daya analisis pada masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh tergolong rendah sehingga diperlukan instrumen yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir tinggi. Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) adalah suatu proses berpikir peserta didik dalam tingkat kognitif yang lebih tinggi yang dikembangkan dari berbagai metode pembelajaran kognitif dan taksonomi pembelajaran seperti metode problem solving; taksonomi bloom; dan taksonomi pembelajaran, pengajaran, dan konsep. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi untuk mempermudah pembelajaran secara online (daring) diperlukan media yang relevan, dengan menggunakan media aplikasi Quizizz dan Kahoot yang bernilai edukasi dan diharapkan peserta didik dapat belajar dengan inovatif sehingga akan lebih mempermudah dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Dari penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakanmultimedia lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil tes kelas eksperimen (78,67) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol (56,48). Selain itu jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas pada kelompok eksperimen lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yaitu 19 peserta didik pada kelompok eksperimen dengan persentase ketuntasan 79,17% dan pada kelompok kontrol 4 peserta didik dengan persentase ketuntasan 16%.

Abstract

Teknologi semakin dibutuhkan termasuk di dalam dunia pendidikan. Teknologi yang terus berkembang memudahkan proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Sekolah biasanya membutuhkan suatu media penunjang untuk membantu proses belajar peserta didik. Karena itu diperlukannya media penunjang berbasis teknologi yang bukan hanya dapat membantu proses pembelajaran dari guru namun juga melatih siswa dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu media yang saat ini sedang terus dikembangkan untuk membantu proses belajar-mengajar adalah pemanfaatan Augmented Reality (AR). AR ini dapat digunakan dengan mudah oleh peserta didik di manapun dan kapanpun, AR sebagai media untuk membantu proses belajar siswa terutama pada materi yang perlu dilakukan suatu pengamatan atau praktik di dalam IPA. Bagi tenaga pendidik maupun peserta didik dapat mempelajari pembuatan serta pengoperasian media teknologi AR ini. Sebelum digunakan, AR perlu dibuat terlebih dahulu sesuai dengan materi yang akan diajarkan. Dalam hal ini dipilih materi dalam IPA yaitu sistem regulasi pada bagian otak. Dengan penggunaan AR ini dapat melatih siswa untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman yang sedang dihadapi. Media penunjang yang dibutuhkan untuk pendidikan saat ini perlu memanfaatkan suatu teknologi. Augmented Reality adalah teknologi yang mampu menjadi media penunjang pembelajaran untuk siswa dan dapat melatih kemampuan siswa dalam proses berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap kepedulian lingkungan siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Game pencemaran lingkungan dan angket kepedulian lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian dari lembar angket dengan indikator kepedulian lingkungan menurut General Ecological Behavior Scale, memproleh rata-rata hasil 4,03 pada dimensi energy conservation, 3,56 pada dimensi transportation and mobility, 4,27 pada dimensi waste avoidance, 4,06 pada dimensi consumerism, 3,83 pada dimensi recycling, dan 4,10 pada dimensi vicarious, social behaviors toward conservation. Rata-rata skor kepedulian lingkungan siswa dari 6 dimensi tersebut adalah 3,97 dengan kategori peduli lingkungan yang baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP memiliki sikap kepedulian lingkungan dengan kriteria baik setelah menggunakan Game pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Kemajuan era Society 5.0 bertujuan untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang mampu memecahkan segala jenis tantangan dan masalah sosial melalui pemanfaatan inovasi yang dikembangkan selama revolusi industri 4.0, seperti Internet of Things (internet for everything), kecerdasan buatan (AI), Big Data (massive jumlah data), dan robot. Oleh karena itu artikel ini bertujuan unutuk mengimplementasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran yang saat ini sangat diperlukan untuk dapat berkompetisi dengan sistem pendidikan di dunia. Metode yang digunakan pada artikel ini adalah metode deskriptif. Langkah-langkah metode deskriptif diantaranya; merumuskan masalah, menentukan jenis data penelitian, serta menentukan prosedur pengumpulan dan pengolahan data. Science E-Book menyajikan materi mengenai sistem pada tubuh manusia yang terdiri dari sistem penapasan, pencernaan, ekskresi, dan gerak dengan fitur narasi materi, gambar 3D hologram dan text to speech. Aplikasi ini dapat diakses pada smart phone sehingga penggunaannya fleksible terhadap waktu dan tempat. Gambar 3D hologram pada Aplikasi Science E-Book dapat digerakan dengan touch screen seperti, objek mengarah ke samping, bawah atau ke atas. Tujuannya, agar siswa memiliki imajinasi mengenai gambar yang ditampilkan. Visual 3D hologram disajikan sebagai pengantar pada narasi materi, hal ini untuk mencegah kebosanan siswa dalam belajar. Selain itu Science E-Book juga tersedia fitur text to speech, dimana siswa dapat menanyakan pertanyaan seputar materi sistem pada tubuh manusia dengan berbicara langsung. Dengan adanya Science E-Book ini dapat menjadi media pembelajaran IPA yang memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi.

Abstract

The 4Cs are the main skills emphasized to face challenges in the 21st century. One of the skills of the 4Cs is creative thinking skills. Creative thinking skills are important for students to have to solve problems with creative solutions. In addition to students, teachers as educators are also required to have these skills so that learning becomes more innovative, solution, and meaningful. The purpose of this service is to improve the creative thinking skills of science teachers in designing lessons with the PjBL-STEAM model in science learning and increase the knowledge of science teachers in utilizing Canva digital software that can be used in STEAM-based learning in science learning. The methods used in this service activity are material presentation, practice of designing posters and assembling STEAM products related to energy materials, as well as discussion and question and answer sessions. The results of the study show that PjBL-STEAM learning training assisted by Canva can improve the creative thinking skills of science teachers at Semarang City Junior High School. Participants also gave a positive response to the feasibility of the material and the presentation of the training. This means that the implementation of training to improve creative thinking skills with PjBL-STEAM, assisted by Canva Telang, was carried out very well.

Abstract

Biotechnology is one of the concepts taught in science learning which is complex and dynamic and has a relationship between the application of science and technology. The application of biotechnology is very beneficial in various aspects of life. The importance of applying biotechnology in life encourages schools to provide learning platforms for students to learn about biotechnology processing properly. However there are still issues with biotechnology processing at partner schools. Specifically, they still don't know how to properly create basic biotechnology learning supplements or process biotechnology products. This inspired the UNNES Postgraduate School service team to assist with training in the creation of basic biotechnology goods at the Al-Hidayah Waqaf Foundation in Hatyai, Thailand, as an addition to instructional resources. This training aims to provide training in making simple biotechnology products so that they can improve educators' skills in packaging supplements for simple biotechnology teaching materials as well as identifying the benefits of apple and pineapple vinegar as well as training skills in making apple and pineapple vinegar correctly. The training method was implemented by providing tools and materials, presenting the material, and providing assistance in the practice of making apple and pineapple vinegar biotechnology. The training has been carried out well. The results of the training can help teachers prepare science learning that is contextual and has an entrepreneurial spirit.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of learning about the historical struggle of heroes in developing civic engagement among 5th grade Elementary Madrasah (MI) students through an inquiry approach that integrates STEM-R (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Religion). The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of reflection tasks and Student Work Sheets (LKPD). The results show that the integration of STEM-R into history learning enhances students' understanding of heroes’ struggles and nurtures values such as of courage, sacrifice, mutual assistance, and steadfast faith which are applicable in daily life. Students become more active, creative, and motivated in their learning and demonstrate civic engagement through real-life action. Although differences in comprehension levels remain, this approach significantly contributes to character building The findings imply thst STEM-R and inquiry-and inquiry-based learning not only improve content mastery but also serve as effective frameworks  for value education in primary schools. Practically, educator are encouraged to adopt STEM-R strategies to foster civic awareness and student participation beyond the classroom. Further implementation should include personalized support to ensure all learners internalize heroic values meaningfully.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pembelajaran sejarah perjuangan pahlawan dalam mengembangkan civic engagement pada siswa kelas 5 MI melalui pendekatan inkuiri yang mengintegrasikan STEM-R (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Religion). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis tugas refleksi dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi STEM-R dalam pembelajaran sejarah mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi perjuangan pahlawan serta menumbuhkan nilai-nilai keberanian, pengorbanan, gotong royong, dan keteguhan iman yang diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif, dan termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan melakukan aksi nyata yang mencerminkan civic engagement. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan tingkat pemahaman di antara siswa, pendekatan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membangun karakter dan keterlibatan sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dan STEM-R secara berkelanjutan serta pendekatan personal untuk mendukung semua siswa menginternalisasi nilai-nilai perjuangan pahlawan.

Abstract

Purpose: Breast cancer remains a significant cause of mortality among women, requiring accurate diagnostic methods. Traditional classification models often face accuracy challenges due to missing values and irrelevant features. This investigation advances the classification of breast cancer through the amalgamation of the C4.5 algorithm with K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) imputation and Relief feature selection methodologies, thereby augmenting data integrity and enhancing classification efficacy. Methods: The Wisconsin Breast Cancer Database (WBCD) was the core reference for evaluating the proposed methodology. KNN imputation addressed missing values, while Relief selected the most relevant features. The C4.5 algorithm executed training by utilizing data segregations in the corresponding proportions of 70:30, 80:20, and 90:10, with its efficiency gauged through a range of metrics, particularly accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Result: This innovative methodology achieved the highest classification accuracy of 98.57%, surpassing several existing models. Particularly noteworthy, the strategy being analyzed exhibited remarkable success relative to PSO-C4.5 (96.49%), EBL-RBFNN (98.40%), Gaussian Naïve Bayes (97.50%), and t-SNE (98.20%), demonstrating associated advancements of 2.08%, 0.17%, 1.07%, and 0.37%. These results confirm its effectiveness in handling missing values and selecting relevant features. Novelty: Unlike prior studies that addressed missing values and feature selection separately, this research integrates both techniques, enhancing classification accuracy and computational efficiency. The findings suggest that this approach provides a reliable breast cancer diagnosis method. Future work could explore deep learning integration and validation on larger datasets to improve generalizability.

Abstract

Students' lack of understanding of local wisdom is a significant problem in elementary schools. Especially in Kudus, batik art which contains cultural and scientific values ​​has not been utilized optimally in learning at school. This research aims to describe integrated ethnoscience learning with the local wisdom of Batik Kudus for elementary school students. This type of research is field research. Meanwhile, this research approach is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The location of this research is MI NU Miftahul Ulum Kudus. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data display, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research are that the use of local wisdom of Batik Kudus in ethnoscience learning can be a learning approach that can activate students. Integration of Local Wisdom of Batik Kudus in Ethnoscience Learning for Grade B Elementary School Phase B students in learning using ecoprint activities. This activity provides students with skills in studying local culture, especially related to batik Kudus, which will be integrated into learning. The integration of local wisdom of Batik Kudus in learning is able to develop critical and creative thinking skills and foster a sense of love and pride in local culture.

Abstract

This research aims to produce augmented reality learning media for molecular form materials and improve the mental model of high school students. This research is a type of research and development using a 4D model (define, design, develop and, disseminate). The media that has been developed is validated by five validators consisting of 2 media experts and 3 material experts. In addition, feasibility tests and effectiveness tests are carried out through trials. The results of the research that have been carried out were obtained: 1) In the validity criteria obtained an average score of 94.8 in the very valid category for the material aspect and a score of 95.8 with the very valid category for the media aspect. 2) The results of the teacher's response obtained an average score of 95.3 with the very good category, while in the students' response obtained 80.1 with the good category. 3) Most students experience improved synthetic mental models. Thus, it can be concluded that augmented reality learning media molecular form material is feasible to be used to improve students' mental models. The mental model of the student increases to the synthetic category in most students who were originally in the initials category.
