Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to design and build a Tourism Potential Information System for Kota Pari Village, located in Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, using the Waterfall Method approach. The problem faced is the lack of accessibility of information on the tourism potential of Kota Pari Village online, which hinders the promotion and development of local tourism potential. The purpose of this research is to overcome these obstacles by designing and developing a web-based platform that can provide comprehensive information about the tourism potential of Kota Pari Village to the general public and potential tourists.  The research method used is the Waterfall Method, which consists of five main stages: needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The needs analysis stage involves identifying user needs, required features, and the structure of information to be presented in the system. Furthermore, system design was conducted to design an intuitive and systematic user interface, as well as a robust and scalable system architecture. The result of this research is a web-based Kota Pari Village Tourism Potential Information System, which allows users to access information about tourism objects, facilities, activities, and location maps of Kota Pari Village easily and quickly. It is expected that the implementation of this system will improve the promotion and tourism attractiveness of Kota Pari Village, as well as facilitate the growth of the tourism sector in the area. Keywords: Information System; Waterfall; Tourism potential; Kota Pari; Web; Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah Sistem Informasi Potensi Wisata Desa Kota Pari, yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Pantai Cermin, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, dengan pendekatan Waterfall Method. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya aksesibilitas informasi potensi wisata Desa Kota Pari secara online, yang menghambat promosi dan pengembangan potensi wisata lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dengan merancang dan mengembangkan sebuah platform berbasis web yang dapat memberikan informasi yang komprehensif tentang potensi wisata Desa Kota Pari kepada masyarakat umum dan calon wisatawan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Waterfall Method, yang terdiri dari lima tahap utama: analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Tahap analisis kebutuhan melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, fitur-fitur yang dibutuhkan, dan struktur informasi yang akan disajikan dalam sistem. Selanjutnya, perancangan sistem dilakukan untuk merancang antarmuka pengguna yang intuitif dan sistematis, serta arsitektur sistem yang kokoh dan scalable. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah Sistem Informasi Potensi Wisata Desa Kota Pari yang berbasis web, yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengakses informasi tentang objek wisata, fasilitas, aktivitas, dan peta lokasi Desa Kota Pari secara mudah dan cepat. Diharapkan bahwa implementasi sistem ini akan meningkatkan promosi dan daya tarik wisata Desa Kota Pari, serta memfasilitasi pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata di wilayah tersebut. Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi; Waterfall; Potensi wisata; Kota Pari; Web;

Abstract

Modern technology has developed rapidly, providing various solutions to facilitate activities and work. Toko Buku Murah Medan, which focuses on book sales, still uses manual methods in managing its sales. This manual process often causes various problems, such as data input errors and delays in making reports. To overcome these problems, this study aims to design and build a website-based book sales information system application. This study uses data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. In developing the application, the Personal Home Page (PHP) method is applied because of its flexibility in handling changing needs during the development process. Direct communication with clients is the main focus in this method. This application is developed using Visual Studio Code as an editor, and MySQL as a database, thus accelerating the application development process. The results of this study are in the form of a website-based book sales information system application that is able to manage sales data, purchases, and book stock more efficiently. This system also provides an automatic report generation feature, both daily, weekly, and monthly, which can improve performance and efficiency at Toko Buku Murah Medan. With this application, problems arising from manual processes can be minimized, supporting improved service and store operations.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) using the prototype method as a development approach to enhance tourism appeal. The system is designed to provide interactive, accessible, and relevant information about tourist locations, thereby supporting more effective tourism promotion. The prototype method allows for rapid design iterations between developers and stakeholders, enabling user needs to be identified and well-accommodated. The system is equipped with key features such as location search based on name or category, an interactive map supporting route navigation and location markers, as well as a responsive interface for various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method, focusing on functionality without examining the internal structure. Testing results indicate that all key system features perform according to specifications and provide a positive user experience. Moreover, the system is capable of displaying tourist location information accurately, responsively, and attractively, thereby increasing tourists' interest in visiting. The web-based Geographic Information System developed through this research is expected to serve as an effective tool for promoting tourism and contributing positively to the growth of the tourism sector. Future development may include additional features such as user reviews, social media integration, and optimal route predictions based on real-time traffic conditions.

Abstract

Face detection and facial landmarks are an important technique in the field of computer vision with a wide range of potential applications, including expression recognition, security systems, and human-computer interaction. This study explores the implementation of facial landmarks detection using Python and OpenCV, focusing on the use of the Haar Cascade algorithm for face detection and the Local Binary Features (LBF) model for the identification of landmarks. The proposed method implements real-time detection via webcam, capable of recognizing 68 important points on the human face. The results show that the approach using OpenCV and LBF models has good accuracy in detecting and tracking facial features in different lighting conditions and viewing angles. This research contributes to the development of efficient and reliable facial detection methods, with wide application potential in the fields of computer vision, security, and behavioral analysis.

Abstract

Motion detection is an important process in computer vision to analyze activities in videos. This study implements a simple system to detect motion in video files using Python and the OpenCV library. The system works by comparing consecutive frames in a video to detect changes and mark areas that experience motion. The implementation shows satisfactory results on various sample videos. This study provides a solution that is easy to implement and can be used in applications such as video analysis and computer-based monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to classify chicken eggs based on their physical size using the concept of computer vision and image segmentation techniques. Compared to the standard methods that have been used so far, this alternative technology is expected to help standardize measurements, cost efficiency, and work effectiveness. In this study, the classification of chicken eggs was carried out using image segmentation and regression analysis. Thus, it is expected that the classification of chicken eggs will have increasingly accurate values. After the image is taken using a webcam, the image segmentation process is used to divide the image into homogeneous areas based on the RGB (true color) color intensity similarity standard. Regression analysis is used to study and measure the relationship between the number of pixels and the weight of the object. The number of pixels indicating the area of ​​the object is the result of image segmentation, which will be entered into the regression equation to calculate the weight (grams). The results showed that the color characteristics of chicken eggs have a normalization of R at least 0.41 and a normalization of G at least 0.3. In addition, the classification test has an accuracy of 100% (36/36) and a weight estimation accuracy of 42 percent (15/36).

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of computer vision technology for face detection in photos using two sample images with variations in lighting and face pose. The developed system combines the Viola-Jones algorithm and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to enhance resilience against lighting and face orientation variations. Experimental results show high accuracy even with only two sample images. This research also develops preprocessing techniques to handle extreme lighting conditions and demonstrates efficient implementation using Python and OpenCV.

Abstract

This research aims to automate the process of extracting information from financial transaction receipts using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) algorithm. The OCR algorithm is used to recognize characters from digital images of transaction receipts so that information such as date, transaction amount, and other details can be accurately identified. By applying image processing methods, this research successfully demonstrates the effectiveness of the OCR system in overcoming challenges such as varying receipt print quality. This research also offers practical solutions in the form of OCR-based applications that can be used in business environments to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial transaction data management.

Abstract

Sekitar 19,8 juta anak sekolah menengah di Indonesia saat ini belajar di bawah ancaman pandemi COVID-19. Untuk mencegah penularan COVID-19 di lingkungan sekolah, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan telah mengeluarkan surat edaran tentang pembelajaran daring dan kerja dari rumah, yang mewajibkan seluruh sekolah menerapkan kebijakan “Belajar dari Rumah”. Kebijakan ini harus diterapkan mulai semester baru 2020-2021 dan perlu didukung oleh Learning ManagementSystem (LMS) beserta kompetensi seluruh pemangku kepentingan. Moodle dipilih karena gratis, dapat disesuaikan, dan dapat digunakan di server khusus untuk dikelola sepenuhnya oleh sekolah. Tahapan implementasi meliputi pengumpulan kebutuhan, instalasi dan konfigurasi, pengujian, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi tersebut mencatat beberapa kebutuhan untuk program selanjutnya, seperti menyederhanakan proses input untuk pertanyaan kuis, mengeksplorasi fitur yang lebih dalam, dan memberikan tutorial yang lebih informatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis Python untuk mendeteksi wajah dalam frame video secara real-time menggunakan pustaka OpenCV. Teknologi face detection memungkinkan sistem mengenali dan mendeteksi wajah manusia pada citra atau video, yang relevan untuk aplikasi di bidang keamanan dan interaksi manusia-komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi yang mampu mendeteksi wajah dengan akurasi tinggi dan respons cepat. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan algoritma Haar Cascade Classifier, diterapkan dalam pengolahan frame video dari kamera secara berurutan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan aplikasi memiliki kemampuan deteksi yang baik, bahkan dalam kondisi pencahayaan yang beragam dan posisi wajah yang tidak seragam. Dengan kecepatan deteksi yang memadai, aplikasi ini berpotensi diterapkan di berbagai bidang. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan teknologi face detection yang lebih efektif dan efisien, dengan pemanfaatan algoritma Haar Cascade Classifier yang mampu mencapai tingkat akurasi rata-rata sebesar 92% dan kecepatan proses rata-rata 30 ms per frame dalam kondisi optimal.
