Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh permainan tradisional sumpit sebagai teknik dalam bimbingan konseling kelompok terhadap pengembangan kemampuan kerja sama siswa SD di Singkawang. Permainan sumpit, yang melibatkan keterampilan fisik, konsentrasi, dan kerja sama antar peserta, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bekerja sama di antara siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen untuk mengukur efektivitas kemampuan kerja sama siswa sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan teknik permainan sumpit dalam bimbingan kelompok dengan menggunakan analisis uji N-Gain. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 20 siswa SD di Singkawang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket yang mengukur kemampuan kerja sama siswa, yang dibagikan sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik permainan sumpit, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan kerja sama siswa, dengan nilai N-Gain Komunikasi = 0.625, Pembagian Tugas = 0.571, Pemecahan Masalah Bersama = 0.684, Pengelolaan Konflik = 0.556, Rasa Percaya Diri = 0.585. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan sumpit efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa SD di Singkawang. Penelitian ini menyarankan penggunaan permainan tradisional sebagai metode alternatif dalam bimbingan konseling kelompok untuk memperkuat keterampilan sosial dan kerja sama siswa.

Abstract

Bullying di tingkat SMP masih menjadi masalah serius, di mana sebagian besar kasus terjadi di hadapan bystander yang tidak bertindak. Peran aktif bystander sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis yang memungkinkan mereka mengevaluasi situasi dan mengambil keputusan etis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi intervensi yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis bystander dalam menyikapi bullying di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menyaring 173 artikel menggunakan kerangka PRISMA dan fokus pada publikasi tahun 2020–2025. Sebanyak 10 artikel relevan dianalisis, mencakup program seperti STAC, pelatihan empati, peer advocacy, dan storytelling yang terbukti meningkatkan peran aktif bystander.  Strategi pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan sosial, emosional, dan kognitif secara sistemik dapat secara efektif meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan partisipasi prososial bystander di SMP.  Intervensi edukatif yang berbasis empati dan berpikir kritis efektif membentuk siswa sebagai agen perubahan sosial yang berani bertindak dalam konteks bullying.

Abstract

This descriptive review examines the book "Personality Psychology: Theory and Research" ninth edition by Lawrence A. Pervin, Daniel Cervone, and Oliver P. John, published by Kencana Prenada Media Group (2012). The purpose of this review is to provide a comprehensive overview of the book's structure, content, and contributions to personality psychology literature, as well as to evaluate its relevance for education and practice in guidance and counseling. Analysis reveals that this book successfully presents a broad panorama of personality theories—from classical psychodynamic to contemporary neuroscience—with an objective and balanced approach. The book's main strengths lie in its organic integration of theory and empirical research, accessible yet rigorous writing style, and pedagogical features that support deep learning. The book includes comprehensive discussions of psychodynamic theory, trait approaches (including the Big Five model), humanistic perspectives, social-cognitive theory, as well as biological and genetic foundations of personality. The ninth edition introduces significant expansion in personality neuroscience and contextual perspectives that reflect current developments in the field. For students and practitioners of guidance and counseling, this book offers an essential theoretical foundation for understanding clients holistically, conducting valid assessments, and selecting theoretically grounded interventions. Despite limitations regarding the depth of certain topics and cultural bias, the book's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses. This review recommends the book as a primary textbook for personality psychology courses and as an important reference for counseling practitioners.   Review deskriptif ini mengkaji buku "Psikologi Kepribadian: Teori dan Penelitian" edisi kesembilan karya Lawrence A. Tujuan review adalah memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang struktur, konten, dan kontribusi buku terhadap literatur psikologi kepribadian, serta mengevaluasi relevansinya untuk pendidikan dan praktik bimbingan dan konseling. Review ini merekomendasikan buku sebagai textbook utama untuk mata kuliah psikologi kepribadian dan sebagai referensi penting untuk praktisi konseling.

Abstract

This descriptive review aims to critically examine the book "Theories of Personality, 7th Edition, Book 2" by Jess Feist and Gregory J. Feist, a fundamental literature in the study of psychology and mental health services. This analysis dissects the book's theoretical scope, focusing on humanistic, trait, and social-cognitive approaches. The book's primary strengths lie in its ability to present a balance between various perspectives, integrate contemporary research from neuroscience and genetics, and utilize a systematic pedagogical architecture that facilitates learning. However, a key limitation is identified, namely a Western epistemological bias that necessitates critical contextualization and adaptation when applied within the Indonesian sociocultural landscape. In conclusion, this book is an essential resource for students and practitioners of guidance and counseling in Indonesia, providing a solid theoretical foundation for case conceptualization, intervention planning, and professional competency development.   Review deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis buku "Teori Kepribadian Edisi 7, Buku 2" karya Jess Feist dan Gregory J. Feist, sebuah literatur fundamental dalam studi psikologi dan layanan kesehatan mental. Analisis ini membedah cakupan teoretis buku yang berfokus pada aliran humanistik, trait, dan kognitif-sosial. Kekuatan utama buku ini terletak pada kemampuannya menyajikan keseimbangan antara berbagai perspektif, integrasi riset kontemporer dari neurosains dan genetika, serta arsitektur pedagogis yang sistematis untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, diidentifikasi pula keterbatasan utama, yakni bias epistemologis Barat yang menuntut adanya kontekstualisasi dan adaptasi kritis saat diaplikasikan dalam lanskap sosiokultural Indonesia. Kesimpulannya, buku ini merupakan sumber daya esensial bagi mahasiswa dan praktisi bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia, menyediakan landasan teoretis yang kokoh untuk konseptualisasi kasus, perencanaan intervensi, dan pengembangan kompetensi profesional.

Abstract

This article reviews the development of personality theories within the behavioral framework and their expansion into the social cognitive approach, based on a review of Yustinus Semiun's book "Behavioristic Personality Theories." This review aims to map the evolution of behavioral thought from its foundational emphasis on environmental determinism toward the recognition of the role of cognitive and social processes in personality formation. Through a library research approach, this article analyzes three main perspectives of behaviorism: Ivan Pavlov's classical conditioning, Edward Thorndike's law of effect, and B.F. Skinner's operant conditioning, as well as their further development in Albert Bandura’s and Walter Mischel’s social cognitive theories. The analysis shows that although classical behavioral theories provide a systematic framework for understanding behavior through stimulus-response associations and environmental consequences, these theories face limitations in explaining cognitive complexity, intrinsic motivation, and human social dynamics. Social cognitive theory emerges as a correction and refinement by incorporating observational elements, self-regulation, and individuals' cognitive interpretations of social contexts. The conclusion affirms that integrating behavioral and social cognitive principles offers a more holistic understanding of personality as the result of dynamic interactions between environment, behavior, and cognitive processes, with significant implications for education, therapy, and psychosocial intervention. Keywords: behaviorism, social cognitive, personality, learning, classical conditioning, operant conditioning, self-regulation.   Abstrak Artikel ini mengulas perkembangan teori-teori kepribadian dalam kerangka behavioristik dan perluasannya ke dalam pendekatan kognitif sosial, berdasarkan tinjauan terhadap buku “Teori-teori Kepribadian Behavioristik” karya Yustinus Semiun. Ulasan ini bertujuan untuk memetakan evolusi pemikiran behavioristik dari fondasi awal yang menekankan determinisme lingkungan menuju pengakuan atas peran proses kognitif dan sosial dalam pembentukan kepribadian. Melalui pendekatan studi kepustakaan, artikel ini menganalisis tiga perspektif utama behaviorisme: classical conditioning Ivan Pavlov, hukum efek Edward Thorndike, dan operant conditioning B.F. Skinner, serta perkembangan lanjutannya dalam teori kognitif sosial Albert Bandura dan Walter Mischel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun teori behavioristik klasik memberikan kerangka sistematis untuk memahami perilaku melalui asosiasi stimulus-respons dan konsekuensi lingkungan, teori-teori ini menghadapi keterbatasan dalam menjelaskan kompleksitas kognitif, motivasi intrinsik, dan dinamika sosial manusia. Teori kognitif sosial muncul sebagai koreksi dan penyempurnaan dengan memasukkan elemen observasional, regulasi diri, dan interpretasi kognitif individu terhadap konteks sosial. Simpulan artikel ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi antara prinsip behavioristik dan kognitif sosial menawarkan pemahaman yang lebih holistik tentang kepribadian sebagai hasil dari interaksi dinamis antara lingkungan, perilaku, dan proses kognitif, serta memiliki implikasi signifikan bagi pendidikan, terapi, dan intervensi psikososial. Kata kunci: behaviorisme, kognitif sosial, kepribadian, pembelajaran, classical conditioning, operant conditioning, regulasi diri.

Abstract

This article presents a descriptive critical review of Ki Fudyartanta’s book Personality Psychology: Various Approaches, which maps a wide range of theoretical perspectives used to understand the structure, dynamics, and development of human personality. The book discusses six major approaches, namely the existential approach, the trait approach, field theory, the factorial approach, the stimulus response S R approach, and the biocultural religious approach. This review outlines the core concepts of each approach and highlights their contributions to explaining the psychophysical uniqueness of individuals. In addition to presenting Western theories that are empirical and mechanistic, Fudyartanta introduces an integrative biocultural religious framework that positions spirituality, cultural values, and moral orientation as fundamental components in shaping the personality of Indonesian individuals. The analysis demonstrates that understanding personality requires a multidimensional and contextual perspective that integrates biological, psychological, social, and religious dimensions to portray humans holistically

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of the DEM NGULON-Based Symbolic Modeling technique in fostering entrepreneurial behavior among high school students. Although Symbolic Modeling has been shown to strengthen motivation and self-efficacy, limited research has examined how integrating local cultural values can enhance its impact in entrepreneurship education. Using a Collaborative Action Research approach, the intervention was implemented over four cycles, with guidance counselors and students as partners. The technique was structured into six reflective stages to support the internalization of values. Five aspects of entrepreneurial behavior were measured: innovativeness, risk-taking, hard work, managerial ability, and decision-making. The results indicate significant improvements in innovativeness, risk-taking, and managerial ability during Cycle I (p < 0.05), while other aspects showed no significant change. In Cycles II to IV, changes continued in a consolidation pattern. Students with lower initial scores recorded the greatest improvements. These findings highlight the contribution of positioning DEM NGULON as a culturally grounded reinforcement mechanism within modeling-based guidance. The study suggests that this approach can serve as an early catalyst for behavioral change and offers a relevant framework for entrepreneurship education that aligns psychological learning processes with local values. Abstract

Elementary school students face increasing psychosocial and academic pressures, yet the role of extracurricular activities in shaping their resilience remains underexplored, particularly in the Indonesian primary education context. This study aims to analyze differences in resilience levels among elementary school students based on the types of extracurricular activities they participate in. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed involving 114 fourth-to-sixth-grade students from six private elementary schools in Kuningan Regency, selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a resilience questionnaire grounded in seven adaptive skill aspects and analyzed using descriptive statistics, cross-tabulations, Pearson’s Chi-Square test, and Monte Carlo simulation, with relationship strength measured using Cramér’s V coefficient. Results showed that the majority of students fell in the moderate resilience category, but significant differences existed across extracurricular activity types. Science and sports activities showed a greater proportion of high resilience compared to arts, religious, English, and scouting activities. The difference was statistically significant (p < 0.05) with a medium-to-large effect size (Cramér’s V = 0.416). These findings confirm that not all extracurricular activities contribute equally to resilience development. This research enriches Positive Youth Development studies by providing comparative quantitative evidence in Indonesian primary education and highlights the importance of designing evidence-based extracurricular programs that integrate social-emotional skills development.

Abstract

Teacher certification is a fulfillment of professional competence. In Bengkulu City, many junior high school science teachers are still uncertified. Therefore, mapping is needed to see the number of the junior high school science teachers who are certified and uncertified in Bengkulu City. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods through observation and interviews. The results showed that 109 junior high school science teachers in Bengkulu City are already certified and 65 are uncertified. There are 114 junior high school science teachers in Bengkulu City who are civil servants and 60 non-civil servants who teach in 47 junior high schools in Bengkulu City. Meanwhile, teachers who are called to join the in-service certification program must pass the Teacher Competency Test (UKG), which causes some teachers to fail to follow the next stage in the in-service teacher training program (PPG). Therefore, in order to fulfill the mandate of the Teachers and Lecturers Law 2015, it is recommended that the Bengkulu City Goverment and the Ministry of Education and Culture implement an accelerated teacher certification program to ensure that teachers are professional.

Abstract

Management, evaluation, and accountability issues remain problems in guidance and counseling services. This study aims to explore the perceptions of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bogor regarding accountability in guidance and counseling services. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were eight BK teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bogor who were selected using purposive sampling. Structured interviews were used for data collection. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. This study found that BK teachers’ perceptions of accountability were divided into five main categories: (1) conceptual understanding of accountability, (2) documentation and reporting practices, (3) barriers to implementing accountability, (4) understanding of MEASURE, and (5) analysis of each aspect of MEASURE. BK teachers understanding of accountability tended to be general, documentation practices were still limited to administrative aspects, and there were various obstacles in the implementation of accountability. The conclusion of this study is BK teachers’ perceptions of accountability are still in the early stages of understanding and basic implementation. Structural interventions such as training, integration of digital documentation systems, and strengthening of regulations are needed to encourage more reflective and collaborative accountability.
