Abstract

This research is motivated by the low use of electronic teaching materials, so that students are less active in the learning process and students have difficulty understanding the concept of biology subjects. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of e-modules as STEM-based teaching materials in biology subjects. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method using research instruments, namely observation sheets, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study show that students' needs for the use of STEM-based e-models (Scince, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in biology subjects in grade XI of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru based on the results of observations, interviews and filling out questionnaires show that STEM-based e-models are needed by students, so it can be concluded that this is based on students' habits and needs when learning using technology such as smartphones, laptops, computers, or technology-based media that can access the e-module

Abstract

Scientific literacy is essential to face the challenges of the 21st century. It must be taught to train students in thinking, analyzing, and collaborating to solve problems. However, according to PISA, the scientific literacy of Indonesian students is categorized as low. This is primarily due to unengaging learning processes. Students need interesting learning media to improve their scientific literacy. One potential medium is a pop-up book based on local culture. This study aims to identify the necessary requirements for developing a pop-up book based on local culture to enhance scientific literacy in elementary schools. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, using observation and interview instruments conducted in Grade V at UPT SDN 207 Gresik. The findings indicate that teachers have not yet used engaging media for ecosystem topics, nor have they incorporated Gresik's local culture into the learning process. Effective learning media should be able to attract students' interest, connect with local culture, promote critical thinking skills, and improve scientific literacy. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that there is a need for learning media that aligns with students' developmental stages. A pop-up book based on local culture can enhance students' interest in learning ecosystems while fostering their understanding of local culture. The development of such a medium is crucial to meet the learning needs of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe elementary school students' environmental literacy level in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The subjects of the study included students of SDN Rejeni, SDN Sedati Gede II, and SDN Kedungpandan I. The instrument used was an environmental literacy questionnaire covering four domains: ecological knowledge, attitudes towards the environment, cognitive skills, and pro-environmental behavior. The results showed that aspects of students' knowledge and attitudes were in the high category, while cognitive skills and pro-environmental behavior were still classified as moderate. To overcome these weaknesses, learning media are needed that not only convey information but also train critical thinking and encourage real action. LKPD based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is considered appropriate because it can integrate aspects of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviour thematically and contextually. Through the implementation of LKPD based on PjBLl, students are expected to be more active, reflective, and care about the environment sustainably.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine the initial need for developing teaching materials in the form of supporting books or supplements to IPAS flipbooks which are used to increase motivation and learning outcomes. Student. The method used in this development research is a qualitative descriptive method. and using research instruments with interview analysis, questionnaires and assessments. And based on the results of initial observation analysis in the form of interviews and facts in the field, it shows that the learning outcomes of grade 4 students at two elementary schools in Taman do not know and understand the diversity of local wisdom in Sidoarjo is still low with an average score of 30 and the highest score is only 68. This is because learning about local wisdom in the Sidoarjo area is provided based on government textbooks, student worksheets and supporting books for learning local local wisdom are not yet available. For this reason, this research was carried out as an initial analysis of the need for developing supporting books/supplements that support science and science learning, especially local wisdom in Sidoarjo so that student motivation and learning outcomes can increase. Keywords: needs analysis, supplement book, flipbook, local wisdom ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui akan kebutuhan awal dari pengembangan bahan ajar berupa buku penunjang atau suplemen flipbook IPAS yang digunakan dalam meingkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian pengembangan ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif. dan menggunakan instrumen penelitian dengan analisis wawancara, angket, dan penilaian. Dan berdasarkan hasil analisis observasi di awal berupa wawancara dan fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas 4 pada dua SD di Taman belum mengenal dan memahami keragaman kearifan lokal yang ada di Sidoarjo masih rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 30 serta nilai tertinggi hanya 68. Hal ini disebabkan bahwa pembelajaran kearifan lokal daerah Sidoarjo yang diberikan berdasarkan buku teks dari pemerintah, lembar kerja siswa, dan buku penunjang untuk pembelajaran keraifan lokal daerah belum tersedia. Untuk itu penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai analisis awal akan kebutuhan dari pengembangan buku penunjang / suplemen yang mendukung pembelajaran IPAS khususnya kearifan lokal di Sidoarjo sehingga motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat. Abstract

In the industrial revolution era, many jobs that humans could initially do turned out to be done by computers and machines. Learning in elementary schools should be carried out by integrating various disciplines, for example, through project-based STEAM learning. STEAM learning incorporates the contents of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. The STEAM project chosen for implementation is Robotis (Robot Tisu/Tissue Robot). This study aims to describe the STEAM learning design of the Robotis project and determine the effectiveness of project-based STEAM learning in improving science literacy skills. This research includes a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at SD A (one of the private schools in Surabaya) with an experimental class subject of 15 students and a control class subject of 13 students. The instruments used are validation sheets of teaching modules and science literacy tests. Data were analyzed using the n-gain test and the Mann Whitney U-Test. The results showed that STEAM learning design must integrate several disciplines (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) in one learning and be associated with real-world problems. The significance value is 0.00 < 0.05 so that it is interpreted that there is a difference between the two groups (H1 accepted) which means that STEAM learning in the experimental class provides different results between pre-test and post-test. So, it can be stated that STEAM learning is effective for improving students' science literacy skills.

Abstract

Natural soap is one of the products that do not use chemicals that people need to clean the body and maintain healthy skin. Vitis vinifera and olive oil contain antioxidants and antimicrobials that are useful for brightening and moisturizing skin, increasing skin cell turnover, and making skin healthier. This research aims to obtain natural soap made from olive oil with the addition of grape extract (Vitis vinifera). The research method includes the process of making grape extract soap with varying framing times (3, 5, and 7 days), then the grape soap is stored for 4 weeks followed by analysis of pH levels, crack tests, and organoleptic tests including texture, color strength and foam. The final pH test results were in the range of 9.0-11.0 which were checked in the first seven days. This soap has texture ranges from 2.50 (slightly soft) to 3.84 (hard), soap color ranges from 3.15 (slightly interesting) to 4.00 (interesting), and foaming power ranges from 3.00 (slightly foamy) to 3.50 (foamy).

Abstract

Perkembangan organ reproduksi remaja dengan disabillitas intelektual memiliki proses yang sama dengan remaja pada umumnya. Begitu pula dengan beberapa efek yang ditimbulkan dari berlangsungnya siklus mentruasi. Dengan keterbatasan kognitif yang dimiliki, remaja putri dengan disabilitas intelektual seringkali mengalami masalah pada saat menstruasi, termasuk dismenore. Keterbatasan komunikasi seringkali memperburuk kondisi mereka saat menstruasi dan juga diperburuk dengan ketidaktahuan orang tua/ pendamping dalam mengatasi dismenore. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan penatalaksanaan dismenore dengan menggunakan media buku saku berbasis mind mapping pada orang tua siswi remaja dengan disabilitas intelektual. Metode yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen, dilakukan dua kali pengukuran, mengukur pemahaman dan kemampuan orang tua tentang penatalaksaan dismenore sebelum dan setelah diberikan buku saku berbasis Mind Mapping. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pre-test rata-rata 28,95 dan setelah diberikan penatalaksanaan materi menugunakan buku saku mind mapping skor post- test  rata-rata 35,2 dan pengaruh pengunaan buku saku mind mapping dengan  nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05), sehingga ada perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan skor perilaku pemahaman kemampuan penatalaksanaan dismenore yang signifikan. Pemberian materi penatalaksanaan dismenore dengan menggunakan media buku saku berbasis mind mappping pada orang tua siswi remaja dengan disabilitas intelektual mampu meningkatkan perilaku penatalaksanaan dismenore pada remaja putri di SLB N Kota Banjarbaru.

Abstract

Peningkatan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) terutama karbondioksida (CO2) menyebabkan pemanasan global. Oleh karena itu diperlukan mitigasi emisi CO2 dengan memanfaatkan potensi lamun sebagai penyimpan karbon dalam bentuk biomassa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan lamun jaringan atas dan jaringan bawah dalam menyimpan karbon di perairan Pantai Pokemon pada Agustus 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dan deskriptif eksploratif. Sampel diambil dari 3 stasiun pengamatan dengan line dan kuadrant transect menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengukuran parameter kualitas perairan dilakukan secara insitu. Analisis simpanan karbon lamun diukur menggunakan metode pengabuan atau loss on ignition (LOI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 4 jenis lamun yaitu Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, dan Halophila ovalis dengan jenis T. hemprichii yang mendominasi. Total kerapatan sebesar 295,62 ind/m2 dan total penutupan yaitu 21,29%. Biomassa secara keseluruhan sebesar 74,42 gbk/m2 dengan biomassa jaringan atas sebesar 35,80 gbk/m2 dan jaringan bawah sebesar 38,62 gbk/m2. Simpanan karbon sebesar 0,23 ton C/ha dengan jaringan atas sebesar 0,10 ton C/ha dan jaringan bawah 0,13 ton C/ha. Total stok karbon mencapai 1,13 ton C dalam luasan padang lamun sebesar 4,903 ha dengan stok karbon jaringan atas bernilai 0,51 ton C dan jaringan bawah sebesar 0,62 ton C. Secara umum lamun jaringan bawah di Pantai Pokemon lebih besar menyimpan karbon.

Abstract

The ability to think critically and creatively is an important 21st century skill to be developed in learning, including in the curriculum in junior high school. However, international studies such as PISA show that this ability is still low among Indonesian students. This is exacerbated by the dominance of conventional learning methods and teaching methods that do not support the development of high-level thinking skills. This research aims to develop a teaching module based on critical thinking and creativity in regenerative materials for junior high school students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of the study was a 7H student of SMP Negeri 1 Nglegok. The data were analyzed descriptively through the results of interviews and questionnaires. The results of the interviews were used to describe the responses of teachers and students to the module, while the questionnaire data was analyzed with a percentage technique to assess the feasibility level of the module. As a result, teachers gave a score of 93 and positive responses to the module. The average student score was 79%, with the majority rating the modules "Good" and "Excellent". Interviews show that students are more enthusiastic about learning. Thus, this module is suitable to be used to support the development of students' critical and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study explored the use of Kahoot, a game-based learning platform, in assessing students' reading comprehension of narrative texts among tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this research investigated how Kahoot could enhance student engagement and provide meaningful feedback in the reading classroom. Data were collected through classroom observation, student interviews, and document analysis. The findings revealed that Kahoot had a positive effect on students' motivation, encouraged active participation, and helped teachers assess students' understanding in a fun and interactive way. The study suggested that Kahoot could be an effective alternative assessment tool for English language teachers, especially in the context of reading comprehension
