Abstract

This article aims to evaluate predictors and triggering factors of Muslim entrepreneurial intentions and their relationship to Islamic education, particularly in Islamic boarding schools as indigenous educational institutions. The study employs systematic literature review on two databases, namely Institute Of Education Sciences (ERIC) and Scopus, with the assistance of Publish or Perish version 8, spanning from 2015 to 2024. A total of 27 articles were found, with international index quality, consisting of 8 articles in Q1, 11 in Q2, 6 in Q3, and 2 in Q4, mostly using quantitative approaches. Meanwhile, the research objects consist of countries with Muslim populations, ranging from Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, Bangladesh to Nigeria. Six instruments were identified for evaluation purposes, divided into two aspects: first, internal aspects including 1) empathy, 2) self-efficacy and internal locus of control, and 3) spiritual and religiosity motivation, and second, external aspects namely 1) moral obligation, 2) prior experiences, and 3) perceived behavioral support. Additionally, 4) leadership was also identified. All these factors serve as recommendations for policymakers to formulate and develop Islamic boarding school curriculum.

Abstract

Students’ critical thinking (CT) in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving (PS) skills has not developed. In fact, these skills determine achievement in society 5.0. Therefore, learning models and media are needed to develop both. This study investigated the interaction of variables in problem-based learning (PBL) combined with play mathematics with technology (PhET) simulations for CT and PS skills. This study used quasi-experimental research design using questionnaires and test of CT and PS involving 126 students of grade V of Islamic primary school (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI)) and grade IX of Islamic junior high school (Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs)). Factorial analysis of the data used SmartPLS. Based on cross loading value, the MI level shows positive interactions on variable: “happy”, “easy to use”, and “as new thing” of PS skills (the explore and plan (EP), select a strategy (SaS), and find an answer (FaA) indicators) and CT skills (the recognition of assumption (RoA) indicator). At the MTs level shows positive interaction on PS skills (the read and think (RT) indicator) and CT skills (the inference (In) and interpretation (Int) indicators) on the “easy to use the PhET simulation” variable. Our findings highlight that combined PBL and PhET simulation has a significant relationship to develop students’ CT and PS skills.

Abstract

Assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the secondary level, particularly within the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) framework, is essential for evaluating students’ mastery of spiritual, cognitive, and affective competencies. This study systematically reviews assessment practices in Islamic education under the GCSE context, drawing on the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by PRISMA protocols. The review highlights the range of conceptual approaches employed, including argumentation-based assessments, value-oriented frameworks, and the integration of character education. Findings reveal several challenges, such as aligning assessment methods with both national standards and faith-based objectives, ensuring cultural and technological relevance, and addressing limitations in teacher preparedness. At the same time, developments in digital platforms and innovative assessment strategies present opportunities to strengthen validity and inclusivity. The study concludes by offering recommendations for advancing Islamic education assessment in the GCSE framework, particularly through the integration of technology, teacher training, and policy support, thereby contributing to more holistic and contextually grounded evaluation practices.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the evaluation of the odoj community-based tahfizh quran program. This research uses Systematic Literature Review, which is indexed in Scopus using the Zotero, Publish or Perish application, publications from international journals such as Eric, Taylor, and Francis, and Google Scholar using the PRISMA technique. After going through the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion phases 482 articles, making 46 articles selected as research data. This research shows that 1) The odoj phenomenon is an interesting movement in the Indonesian Islamic world, with its large number of communities spread both at home and abroad. They also come from various circles, including students, students, the general public, and artists. Odoj has recruited more than 140,000 followers ranging from children as young to adults as old. 2) There are several evaluation models that can be applied in the field of education of Tahfizh Quraan, namely the CIPP model, STAKE model, Self-Assessment, Formative and Summative Evaluation,Group Decision Support System (GDSS), Gamification Learning for Al-Quran Memorizing (GLAM-Q. 3) If you see the limitations of the CIPP model, it is necessary to innovate a new evaluation model, namely: how to integrate the CIPP model evaluation with the odoj community in the Quran tahfizh program. Especially in the aspects of context evaluation, input evaluation, process evaluation which are carried out together (community). This study provides an important contribution in developing a more effective and contextual evaluation model for community-based Quran memorization programs, which can improve the quality of memorization education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the tahfidz program at Khadijah Junior High School is planned, how the learning method is implemented effectively, and the impact on its output so that the profile of Khadijah Junior High School graduates can be said to be successful in becoming huffadz. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach, data collection techniques through observation methods and interviews with the Vice Principal for curriculum, tahfidz teachers and students of SMP Khadijah. The CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model in the context of this research is to explore the extent of the targets or goals, plans, actions and graduates of the tahfidz program at Khadijah Junior High School. The results of this study prove that; 1) Context evaluation, shows that this program has quality and quantity targets set in the strategic plan of the Khadijah foundation, 2) Input evaluation, Tahfidz program is planned systemically with clear and detailed planning. 3) Process evaluation, tahfidz learning activities are well organized, organized by the division of tahfidz classes tailored to the competence of students' Al-Qur'an reading, 4). Product Evaluation, Khadijah Junior High School graduates exceed the strategic plan target. Challenges that need to be considered in this tahfidz program include motivating students to be interested in participating in the tahfidz program and clarity of memorization targets.
