This study aims to determine 1) Effect of discovery learning model with a scientific approach (PDPS) on learning outcomes physics learners; 2) The effect of process skills to the learning outcomes of physics students and 3) Effect of discovery learning model with a scientific approach interaction and process skills to the learning outcomes of students. This study is a quasi-experimental design using pretest-posttes nonequivalent group design with a 2 x 2 factorial design. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with SPSS 21. The result showed 1) Model PDPS affect the Physics learning outcomes of learners with sig (0,000 ) <α (0.05), 2) process skills affects the outcome of the learning physics learners with sig (0.001) <α (0.05) and 3) There is a learning model interaction effect (PDPs-Expository) and process skills to physics learning outcomes with sig (0,000) <α (0.05)Keywords: Discovery learning model with a scientific approach, process skills, learning outcomes

The optimal learning process, should be able to facilitate learning activities that cover both parts of the brain. This study aims to determine the effect of brain based learning model on the critical thinking ability of physics of students of class X. This research type is quasi experiment and use non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Gunungsari with sampling technique is purposive sampling, so obtained X MIA 3 as experiment class and X MIA 4 as control class. Data of critical thinking ability was analyzed by using t-test polled variance. Data analysis shows that tcount is 2.93 and ttable at 5% significance level of 2.0084, so tcount > ttable. Based on the result of research can be concluded that there is influence of brain based learning model to critical thinking ability physics students class X.Keywords: Brain Based Learning, Critical Thinking Ability

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan guru sebagai “Role Model” keterampilan abad 21 pada pembelajaran IPA SMP dilihat dari perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP yang telah disusun dan dikembangkan. RPP yang disusun dan dikembangkan oleh 20 guru SMP di Kota Mataram, dianalisis dan diberi penilaian sesuai indikator pengembangan RPP yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode campuran (mixed method) yaitu menggunakan model Exploratory Design. Metode ini terdiri atas tiga proses sebagai berikut: (1) Proses kualitatif; (2) Proses kuantitatif; dan (3) Proses interpretasi data didasarkan pada proses pertama dan kedua. Hasil analisis dan penilaian RPP guru kelas VII dan kelas VIII masing-masing memiliki tingkat kelayakan yang berkisar dari 46%-70% dan 70%-85%. Kesalahan yang sering terjadi dari RPP yang telah dibuat adalah tidak ada kecocokan antara kompetensi dasar dengan indikator dan tujuan pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, serta belum terlihat kecakapan abad 21 (HOTS) dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang dirancang. Fakta ini menunjukkan perlu adanya penjelasan lebih detail tentang RPP agar mampu mencapai tujuan pembelajaran sesuai keterampilan abad 21 yang diharapkan.

One of the problems that are often found in universities, especially in physics subjects, is the existence of misconceptions in students (learners). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the multiple-representation approach Based on E-Module in reducing the misconceptions of prospective physics teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is quantitative research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 25 prospective physics teachers at one of the universities in the city of Mataram. The instrument used in this research is an open-ended three-tier test. A total of 10 test items with 30 questions were used in this study. The test was given twice, namely before and after treatment. The test results data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the decrease in the percentage of students who experienced misconceptions. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there is a decrease in the percentage of students who experience misconceptions by 31.89% from the initial number of 57.19 to 25.30%. This decrease in misconceptions was also followed by an increase in the percentage of students who understood the concept from 18.14 to 72.38%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the multiple representation approach assisted by E-Modules can be used as an alternative to reduce misconceptions and improve understanding of the concept of prospective physics teachers in the COVID-19 pandemic

The purpose of this study was to develop learning media for wave ripple tanks with the implementation of guided inquiry models on the conceptualization and creativity of students in physics subjects in class XI with the material of mechanical wave characteristics. The wave ripple tank learning media is used as a tool in the learning process that can improve students' mastery of concepts and creativity. This study uses the Research and Development method with a 4D design (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). At the defining stage, the initial analysis was carried out, namely examining the background behind the emergence of researchers' ideas. The design stage is carried out by designing the wave ripple tank learning media with the implementation of guided inquiry models. The development stage is a development activity as well as an assessment of the experts which includes the validation test of the development results of the device, media ripple tank learning, and assessment instruments. The last stage is the dissemination stage, where the results of this study are distributed to schools to be used as a model that can be used

Teaching material is one important factor that influences the effectiveness of the learning process. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials that have been tested for validity and are suitable for use and to test whether the use of teaching materials that have been developed can increase the value of learning outcomes. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with reference to the development of Four D (4 D) which includes Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The research subjects are the fourth semester students taking Physics learning strategy courses. Improved learning outcomes in the test using the Normalized N-Gain test. The results showed that the teaching materials of learning strategies that have been developed have been tested for validity and are feasible to be used, while the N-Gain test results show that 0.67% is in the medium category level and an increase in student learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of developing powtoon media based on problem based learning model to increase understanding of student physics concept. The research design used research and development (R&D) by Thiagarajan with 4d model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). This study is limited only to validity tests by taking the result of expertand practitioner validators and the results of questionnaire responses from students are not conducted limited trials. Limited trials are not conducted due to limitations of time and civility. The validity of powtoon media based on problem based learning model is analyzed using SBi (Ideal Standard Deviation).

This research aimed to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model with the experimental method on physics learning outcomes of SMA students. This is quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population is all students grade XI MIPA in SMAN 1 Jonggat of academic year 2019/2020 with the sample is students class XI MIPA 4 and class XI MIPA 5 one wich is selected by purposive sampling which is the students class XI MIPA 4 as the experimental group and students class XI MIPA 5 as the control group. The experimental group giving treament with guided-inquiry learning model with the experimental method and control group giving treatment conventional learning. The measured learning otcomes data are the cognitive learning outcomes data. The learning outcomes data are measured in three conditions which is pretest in the form of multiple choice questions, during the learning process with use the LKPD, and posttest in the form of multiple chioice questions as much as 20 items that have been tested for validity. The hypotheses of research were tested using t-test polled variance with 5% significance level. The hypotheses tested result are > that is (4,00 > 2,00) so was rejected and was accepted. The result of hypotheses testing can be concluded there is an influence of guided-inquiry learning model with the experimental method on physics learning outcomes of SMA students. Interactive multimedia is able to combine various kinds of representations into one whole media unit. These representations are in the form of visual, auditory, and procedural representations. Interactive multimedia capabilities can directly stimulate the development of students' critical thinking skills. This research has explored the increasing tendency of students to think critically or called critical thinking disposition. In particular, this study compared the increasing levels of critical thinking disposition of male and female students. Field trials employed a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest control group design. The subject consisted of 16 male and 16 female students in senior high school at Mataram, Indonesia. The research instrument used description problem that has been adapted to the indicators of critical thinking disposition, namely truth-seeking, open-mindedness, analyticity, systematic, and inquisitiveness. The results indicate that of N-gain research for male students were 35.5 and female 36.4. This shows that the use of interactive multimedia has a positive effect on improving critical thinking disposition in both male and female students.

Berpikir secara kreatif sangatlah penting untuk dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran fisika, berbagai permasalahan dalam kehidupan memerlukan banyak solusi untuk menyelesaikannya. Agar dapat menemukan solusi-solusi tersebut, seseorang harus mampu berpikir secara kreatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan sebuah perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model generatif yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada materi gelombang mekanik. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian Research & Development (R&D) sesuai desain pengembangan dari 4-D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop, & disseminate. Penelitian ini dilakukan hingga validasi pada tahap develop. Validasi dilakukan oleh 3 orang validator ahli dan 2 orang validator praktis. Hasil validasi produk menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid dan reliabel sehingga layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun untuk mengetahui manfaat ataupun keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan perlu dilakukan uji coba.
