There are many abstract concepts in physics. This raises its own difficulties in learning physics. The difficulty in teaching abstract concepts can be solved using computer technology. Computer technology presents opportunities for learning abstract concepts, such as through the use of interactive multimedia in learning physics. In this study has developed an interactive multimedia on the concept of electricity. This study aims to examine the impact of the use of interactive multimedia on student mastery of the concept of electricity. The results showed an increase in mastery of concepts in both classes. The highest increase occurred in the concept of Coulomb's law, which is 68.6% (experimental group) and 48% (control group). Mastery electric concept experimental group is greater than the control group, indicates that interactive multimedia effective in supporting the process of learning physics.ÃÂ

The aim of this study was to determine the influence of the integrated MTDKBI through cooperative strategies for studentsÃ¢â¬â¢scientific attitude. The study used quasi-experiment method with a 2x2 factorial design research. The population was 380 students of grade 9 SMPN 10 Mataram whose spread.at 10 classes. The sample was 142 students divided into 4 classes with cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments such as questionnaires of scientific attitude which was given at the beginning and the end of the study. The data were analyzed with two-way Ancova. The results showed that (1) the students who learned using MTDKBI significantly different at the aspect of scientific attitude than students who learned with non MTDKBI, (2) students who learn through STAD cooperative strategy significantly different at the aspect of scientific attitude than students who learn with NHT type, (3) there is an interaction effect between the type of media with cooperative strategies for students' scientific attitude

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect learning multimedia on studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ ability to answer problems on heat concepts, especially in the analysis of the of energy in water form change. The study was conducted in class X of SMAN 3 Mataram. Total number of sample was 80 students, divided into two classes: 42 students in Experimental class taught using interactive learningmultimedia, and 38 student in control class taught without interactive learningmultimedia. Data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that the ability of the students working on the energy analysis is better in the experimental class than the control class (ÃÂ± = 0.05; sig = 0.03).

The purpose of this study was to develop a model of virtual labs on some concepts of physics. In this article will describe some of the findings of the preliminary study carried out in the framework of the development of the virtual laboratory model. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and studies related documents. The results showed that a number of problems related to the lecture held, particularly with respect to the selection method of teaching on certain concepts, issues related to the activities of laboratory experiments, the description of the physics of matter that is difficult for students. Results of this study are expected to be the basis for the development of the model as well as efforts to improve the quality of learning physics, particularly for prospective teachers of physics.

This is an experimental research. This research aim to examine the effect of ASSURE learning model and prior knowledge on science learning outcome in class VIII of SMPN 22 Mataram. The population is entire students in class VIII SMPN 22 Mataram with VIIIB as experiment class and VIIIC as control class. Both divided into high and low prior knowldege group. This research use factorial design 2x2. Hypothesis test use two ways anava. We got that (1) learning model take significant effect on learning outcome that ASSURE model get higher score than konventional model, (2) prior knowledge take significant effect on learning out come that higher prior knowledge get higher score than the low one, and (3) there is no interaction between learning model and prior knowledge on learning outcome. N-Gain test shown that high prior knowledge of ASSURE class get most improvement result and low pior knowledge of conventional class get worst. It is better to continue this ASSURE learning model in research using another student characterictic analyze. High prior knowledge experiment class get improvement result in all sub-chapter. Low prior knowledge experiment class and high prior knowledge control class get most improvement in wave characteristic. Low prior knowledge control class get most improvement in vibration characteristic.

This study aims to determine the effect of structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach on studentÃ¢â¬â¢s critical thinking skills and physics learning outcomes of class X in SMAN 1 Gerung in academic year 2014/2015. The study uses a quasi experiment with design untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The sample was selected by clauster random sampling and obtained class X-3 as the experiment class using structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach and class X-6 as the control class using expository learning model. Data post-test were tested for normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis test. Hypothesis test using t-test polled variance with 5% of significance level. The results of the study were obtained: (1) there was the effect of structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach on studentÃ¢â¬â¢s critical thinking skills and (2) there was the effect of structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach on studentÃ¢â¬â¢s physics learning outcomes ÃÂ This indicates that the structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach is better than the expository learning model. Expected to do further research on structured inquiry learning model with scientific approach that measure the other of higher order thinking skills.

This research aims to (1) reveal the effect of problem based and expository learning towards physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes, (2) uncover the effect of studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ science process skill towards physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes, (3) reveal the interaction between studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ science process skill and their physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes. This study is a quasi-experimental study applying factorial design 2 x 2. The study was conducted from November 2014 to May 2015.ÃÂ The population of this research is the whole students of class VIII which comprises of 9 classes in MTS Negeri 1 Mataram. The purposive sampling was chosen as the sampling technique for this study, in which class VIII-8 acted as the experiment class and class VIII-7 as the controlled class. The data collection encompasses data of science process skill, and studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes (in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains) towards the main material of light. Technique of collecting data of science process and physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes in affective and psychomotor domains were done by using observation sheet with certain criteria, while cognitive domain was done through the test.ÃÂ The test instrument has previously been through validity test, reliability test, difficulty level, and discrimination index. The data obtained were firstly tested their normality and homogeneity, then continued by the testing of the hypothesis by using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Data analysis technique was done by using ANOVA 2x2 with different cell. The result of this study shows that (1) problem based and expository learning affects physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes, (2) studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ science process skill affects their physicsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes, and (3) there is no interaction between science process skill and studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ learning outcomes.

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning through problem posing approach to the studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ problem solving skills in terms of prior knowledge. The method used is a quasi-experimental method with 2x2 factorial study design. The study population was 163 students of class XI SMKN 9 Mataram scattered in 5 classes. These samples included 55 students, divided into two classes by cluster of random sampling technique. The research instrument is a test mastery of concepts and problem solving skills test given at the beginning and end of the study. The data was analyzed by Manova two ways. (1) students learn to use cooperative learning model with problem posing approach was significantly different in the aspect of problem solving ability than students who study with learning cooperative model only, (2) students who have high prior knowledge different significantly in aspects of problem solving ability compared students who have low prior knowledge, (3) there was not an interaction effect between learning model with prior knowledge of the problem solving ability students

This Ã¢â¬Ånon-equivalent control group designÃ¢â¬Â quasi experimental research was purposed to identify the effect of generative-based learning model using virtual laboratory media towards the studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ concept mastery and creativity in physics. The population of this research is all 173 students of X grade in SMK Negeri 7 Mataram. The X grade students of Teknik Komputer Jaringan A (TKJ-A) department was determined as the experimental group and the X grade students of Teknik Komputer Jaringan B (TKJ-B) department was the control group. The way of collecting data for the concept mastery was done by using multiple choice test. The result revealed that the mean score of the post-test for the concept mastery was 43 for the experimental group with the highest score 56. Meanwhile the mean score of the control group was 36 with the highest score 52. The research hypothesis was tested using t-test pooled variances. The result showed that the value of ttab is higher than tarith the value is 3,42 > 2,00 for the concept mastery. As the conclusion, this research showed that there was an effect towards the experimental group studentsÃ¢â¬â¢ concept mastery and creativity in physics which was treated using generative-based learning model using virtual laboratory media.

Physics is contain a lot of abstract concept.this thing arise studentÃ¢â¬â¢s difficulty in learning physics individually. This difficulty can be solved by educatorsÃÂ with using the method of cooperative learning on teaching their pupil. Beside of that, on teaching abstract concept can be helped by using virtual media. Because of that, this research is aim to test the effect of cooperative learning with virtual media toward the studentÃ¢â¬â¢s conceptual understanding in physics on static fluid matter. Pre-test and post-test was gived to experiment and control class. The instrument of the test is conceptual test which consist of six cognitive aspect. The result show that the cooperative learning with virtual media increased studentÃ¢â¬â¢s conceptual understanding in static fluid and significantly increased at sub-matter Archimedes law and fluid pressure. This result also showed the increase of studentÃ¢â¬â¢s cognitive abilty on experiment class, but one of cognitive aspect C6 (create), control class more better than experiment class.
