Abstract

This study purpose was seen what there were effect of using context-based learning videos on global warming material on the problem solving students abilities of class XI at MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan. This research is a quasi-experimental research, posttest-only control design. The study population was all class XI IPA MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan who are registered in 2021/2022 school year. Sampling was conducted using cluster random sampling technique, selected class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3 as sampling. The data of this research is score of students' ability of problem solving. The research instrument was a written test in consist of 7 essay questions. Data analysis was carried out using the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and U-test. The normality test, it was found that the experimental class was normally distributed while the control class was not normally distributed. The homogeneity test of the two sample classes shows that the two sample classes do not have a homogeneous variance.  The results showed that the average problem-solving ability of the group for experimental was greater than the group for control. Using the U test (Man Withney) with a level of significance was 5%, the score of ZcountZtable is obtained. The results of the various problem solving abilities of each student could be identified. The average score of problem solving abilities in the experimental class was 90.48 while for the experimental class it was 76.06. This shows that the students' problem-solving abilities for the experimental class are higher than those for the control class. It can be concluded that there is an effect of using context-based learning videos on global warming material on the abilitiy of problem-solving in class XI students of MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to learn the great impact the discovery learning model has on learning, based on education and lesson materials. The kind of research is a meta-analysis. The subject of this study is 24 scientific articles published by some journals from 2015 to 2020. Research instruments of coding sheets. For the impact of the discovery learning model on high school education, it has a moderate category with the effect size of 0.72 and the ladder junior high school education has high ratings on an effect size of 1.26. the impact of the discovery learning model on lesson materials has a moderate category with an effect size range of 0.67 to 0.80. As for high ratings, it has an effect size of 1.20. In general, the discovery learning model affects the study of physics.Keywords: Meta-analysis, Discovery learning, Learning outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the current state of ethnoscience integration in science learning and analyze the impact of this integration on students' understanding and appreciation of science, and explore the challenges and opportunities presented by this approach. This article was prepared based on the results of a systematic review of 16 articles published in 6 SCOPUS indexed journals and 10 SINTA accredited journals from 2020-2023. The results of the research show, 4 articles highlight Sasak cultural values, Dayak cultural values, local values of ulos weaving, local wisdom of the Sorong West Papua community, Badui traditional cultural values, Laot customary law, Congklak traditional games, Bebentangan traditional games, Banjar traditional language, local wisdom of syafaral anam, and cultural values of the Bugis tribe. Abstract

The meta-analysis method in this research was used to determine how problem-based learning activities influence problem-solving abilities. Analysis is carried out based on material units and levels/classes. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the mechanical material unit had an effect size of 0.83 in the high category, for the electric magnetic material unit it had an effect size value of 1.12 in the very high category, for the optical wave material unit it had an effect size of 1.66 with very high category, for thermodynamic material units it has an effect size of 1.41 in the very high category, and for fluid material units it has an effect size of 1.56 in the very high category. Then for class X it has an effect size of 1.19 in the very high category, for class XI it has an effect size of 1.35 in the very high category and for class In conclusion, for the optical wave material unit, it has an effect size of 1.81 which has a very high influence on students' ability to solve problems and for class XI level it has an effect size of 1.35 which has a very high influence on students' ability to solve problems.

Abstract

Electronic physics learning is one of the rapidly growing fields in the current digital era. Electronic physical science learning media has turned into a compelling option in the growing experience. The point of this examination is to lead a writing survey on business venture potential to open doors in electronic material science learning media. Descriptive analysis is used as the research method, and secondary data is utilized. Entrepreneurship opportunities refer to the chance to run a profitable business. An entrepreneur needs to possess creative and innovative thinking, as well as the ability to take risks and seize business opportunities. Physics learning media is a tool used in the learning process to clarify the messages conveyed by teachers. Learning media that aligns with technological advancements, such as computer-based learning media and animations, can enhance students' interest in studying physics. Electronic-based learning (e-learning) utilizes information and communication technology for flexible learning, involving networks, learning support services, and tutor assistance. Through e-learning, students can learn anytime and anywhere. The development of digital media in e-learning can leverage the latest technologies, such as animations, Android-based applications, and augmented reality.

Abstract

This study reviews the literature in an effort to determine how well students' science literacy can be raised by utilizing interactive learning resources for physics. Understanding scientific ideas, using science knowledge in daily situations, and analyzing and resolving science-related issues are all components of science literacy. This study has identified and analyzed a variety of interactive learning media, including interactive magazines, interactive kinematics learning applications, interactive electronic learner worksheet based on LiveWorksheets, Higher Order Thingking Skill-based interactive modules, and learning videos based on the 5E learning cycle model. The study's findings show that interactive learning media can be a very useful tool for teaching physics, but its effectiveness depends largely on how well it is implemented, how well the design of the instruction is done, and how well the learning environment supports the student.

Abstract

21st century learning prepares high school graduates to master critical thinking ability. However, there are still many high school graduates who do not have critical thinking ability. One way to overcome students' low critical thinking ability is to use innovative learning models that prioritize student activity. This research aims to compare the critical thinking abilities of students taught using the Problem-based learning (PBL) and Project-based learning (Pj.BL) models. This study uses a posttest-only control group design and is quasi-experimental in nature. Determination of the sample through the use of a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained is in the form of data resulting from critical thinking ability. The instrument used is a critical thinking ability test instrument in the form of a description test. The data analysis techniques used are normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing at a significance level (α) = 0.05. Based on data analysis, the results obtained are tcount = 4.552 > ttable = 1.998 which states that H1 is accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Problem-based learning model is more effective than the Project-based learning model in honing students' critical thinking ability.

Abstract

The immunization program has large leverage to improve community health status, because the majority of infant mortality can be prevented by immunization interventions. One effort to improve children's immunity is the giving basic immunization. In immunization programs mother's role is the most important, knowledge of mothers about immunizations influence the implementation immunization itself. To maximize the results of the immunization, it should be given routinely. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge with obedience mother in giving of basic immunization to infants. This research method is descriptive correlation with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were mothers who had babies to immunization in Puskesmas Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The number of samples obtained 50 respondents. Data were collected by questionnaire. Data analysis using chi-square test with p-value (> 0.05). The results showed 46 respondents were knowledgeable of both adherent in the giving of basic immunization 43 respondents (93.5%) and less adherent knowledgeable three respondents (6.5%) of 4 respondents. Statistical test results obtained with chi square p-value 0.191 (> 0.05). There is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers with maternal compliance in the provision of basic immunization in infants. Because, basically, mothers who have very high awareness of immunization.

Abstract

The independent curriculum emphasizes literacy skills as the most important learning objectives. The two literacies that are greatly needed in the 21st century are science literacy and environmental literacy. However, these two literacies among high school students in Indonesia are still relatively low. The subject that is able to achieve both literacies in an integrated manner is physics. The purpose of this development research is to produce a physics knowledge enrichment book "lightning" to improve science literacy and environmental literacy of high school students that is valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The subjects of the study were physics teachers and grade XI high school students. Data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include calculating the average score and Aiken validity index. The results of the study showed that: 1) The enrichment book was stated in the valid category in terms of material, language, presentation, and graphics; 2) The enrichment book by teachers and students was stated in the practical category in terms of ease of use, learning effectiveness, and benefits. Therefore, the physics knowledge enrichment book "lightning" that was developed is valid and practical as a solution to improve science literacy and environmental literacy of high school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes in learning. One alternative that is used to overcome the low activity and learning outcomes of social studies subjects is by using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type of cooperative learning model with LKPD assistance. The purpose of this study was to analyze student learning activities and outcomes using the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Student Workshet (LKPD). This research was an experimental study using the Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. The data were collected using test results of learning and observation sheets to determine student learning activities. The total population was 348 people with a sample size of 78 people with a purposive sampling technique. The method of analysis used the independent sample t-test. The results showed that the student's learning activity was declared active with a high category as long as the cooperative learning model type STAD was assisted by LKPD and the learning outcomes obtained a significance value of 0.000 with a significance level of 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an increase in student activity and learning outcomes using the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by LKPD.
