Abstract

In this research, a comparative analysis of propellant combustion speed was carried out with variations in AP/Al/Epoxy materials and pressure variations. The higher the pressure, the greater the speed of combustion. Based on the results of the research, the relationship between the air pressure provided is directly proportional to the combustion speed and the mass flow rate of the propellant. The greater the pressure applied, the higher the combustion speed and propellant mass flow rate. The best performance is found in propellant B with a value of n = 0.44. A constant value close to 0 (zero) indicates a much more sensitive level of propellant sensitivity. The resulting mass flow rate at an initial atmospheric pressure of 0.332 gr/s and at an initial pressure of 5 bar is 0.791 gr/s

Abstract

Abstract

The problem of waste transportation is a major challenge in waste management in Salatiga City. With the amount of daily waste generated reaching 457.81 m³ and the volume transported only around 327.33 m³, the level of waste transportation has only reached 71.72%. This study aims to evaluate and optimize the current waste transportation route through a spatial approach using QGIS software. The methods used include field observation, primary and secondary data collection, and spatial analysis of the distribution of routes and workloads of the transport fleet consisting of 9 arm roll units and 1 dump truck unit, with a total average daily trip of 58 trips. The results of the comparison between the existing route and the planned route show a daily route length efficiency of 10.57 km (1.15%), fuel consumption savings of 2.73 liters per day, and travel time efficiency of 25 minutes. The volume of transported waste also increased from 83,730 kg/day to 89,500 kg/day (up 6.89%), which was achieved through more optimal route planning, additional trips to TPS Boja and Tingkir, and equalizing the workload between drivers. The results of this study confirm that GIS-based route optimization can increase the efficiency of distance, fuel, time, and productivity of the waste transportation system as a whole in Salatiga City.

Abstract

Bauxite mining that has been ongoing for decades in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province, has left several voids or former excavated ponds. The existence of these post-mining voids has the potential to affect environmental quality, especially regarding water quality components and the suitability of land use in the surrounding area. This study aims to analyze the current condition of bauxite void water quality after mining in Bintan Regency as a basis for assessing the ecological aspects of the post-mining area. The analysis was conducted descriptively and comparatively by comparing the physico-chemical water parameters against class II water quality standards, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. Data were obtained from the Bintan Regency Environment Agency (DLH) in 2023, including parameters such as pH, DO, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, Total Phosphate, and Fecal Coliform. The results showed that most of the water quality parameters were within the class II standard range, except for pH, which varied between 0.24 and 7.75, indicating that some locations were highly acidic. The pH value is the main limiting parameter in determining the ecological conditions of the post-mining voids. Based on the calculation of the compliance score, about 68.8% of voids are classified as "Appropriate," and 31.2% as "Fairly Appropriate." These findings indicate that most voids have undergone natural stabilization processes, although some still require advanced ecological rehabilitation to normalize water quality and support post-mining environmental functions.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and Special Allocation Funds (DAK) on the financial independence of regencies and cities in Central Java Province during the 2022–2024 period. Regional financial independence is a key indicator for assessing a local government's capability to fund its administrative operations without relying on central government transfers. Employing a quantitative research design, the study utilizes secondary data sourced from the official website of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK). A total of 35 regencies and cities were selected purposively as the sample. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model approach, alongside classical assumption tests. All data processing and analysis were carried out using the EViews 12 software. Research findings reveal that locally generated revenue (PAD) exerts a positive and statistically significant impact on regional fiscal independence, with a regression coefficient of 0.234 and a significance level below 5%. In contrast, the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) demonstrates a negative and significant effect, indicated by a coefficient of -0.167. This suggests that excessive reliance on DAK tends to reduce a region’s fiscal autonomy. These findings underscore the strategic importance of optimizing PAD as a key driver for strengthening sustainable fiscal decentralization.

Abstract

Ignoring plastic waste management systems can threaten the sustainability of the environment and living creatures in the universe. The alarming amount of plastic waste shows the failure of waste management systems and demands serious control through the use of environmentally friendly materials that can reduce ecological impacts and encourage sustainable changes in consumer behavior. In an effort to control and reduce the generation of single-use plastic waste in Jakarta, Provincial Government issued “DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation Number 142 of 2019 concerning the Obligation to Use Environmentally Friendly Shopping Bags in Shopping Centers, Supermarkets and People's Markets”. This paper aims to analyze the effectiveness of single-use plastic waste control after the enactment of the regulation and compare similar policies in several countries. The method used is through literature review by reviewing various literature sourced from scientific journals and relevant research reports. The results of the study state that the implementation of the policy on the use of eco-friendly shopping bags has been able to reduce the amount of plastic waste generation and increase the use of Environmentally Friendly Shopping Bags in  Jakarta Province and several countries that implement similar policies. The government must create an ecosystem that supports policy implementation through massive and sustained public campaigns and education to build understanding and change public behavior so that people are more prudent in reducing their use of single-use plastic bags.

Abstract

Global exclusive breastfeeding rates, despite an increase, have not risen significantly enough, with approximately 44% of infants aged 0-6 months worldwide receiving exclusive breastfeeding during the 2015-2020 period, compared to the WHO target of 50%. The low rate of exclusive breastfeeding will have an impact on the quality and life expectancy of future generations. Breast care has a positive effect on increasing breast milk production; therefore, breast care needs to be implemented by pregnant and postpartum mothers. There are various ways to improve breast care skills among pregnant and postpartum women, one of which is through demonstration. This study aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of demonstration methods in increasing knowledge about breast care among pregnant women. This study used a quasi-experimental design. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. There were 30 respondents in this study. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge about breast care from before the demonstration with an average score of 5.8 to 8.37 after the demonstration. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showed that the p-value was 0.000 (p<0.05). It is recommended that health workers provide health education using the breast care demonstration method to increase the knowledge of pregnant women.

Abstract

Many students assume that they have carried out the correct thinking process in solving problems, but in reality students only imitate the procedures carried out by the teacher without understanding mathematical concepts. This condition is called pseudo thinking. Errors in the structure of thinking can be solved by rearranging the wrong thought process, namely restructuring the thought process. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research conducted at class VIII SMPN 1 Sumbergempol. The subjects of the study consisted of 4 students divided into 2 impulsive cognitive style subjects and 2 reflective subjects. Selection of research subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used were MFFT tests, problem solving tests, and interviews. Data analysis used the Spiral model with results 1) Fragmentation experienced by impulsive students, namely fragmentation of pseudo-incorrect thinking. 2) The fragmentation experienced by reflective students, namely the fragmentation of pseudo-true. 3) The application of restructuring to impulsive students who experience pseudo-wrong thinking can provide a complete structuring of thinking, so that students can solve problems in a structured and correct manner. 4) The application of restructuring to reflective students who experience pseudo-corruption can really provide a complete structuring of thinking, so that students can have the right mindset.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of e-commerce consumption on waste generation in Semarang City, specifically in Patemon Sub-district. The increasing dominance of e-commerce in the Industry 4.0 era has transformed consumer behavior and influenced household waste generation. This research used a quantitative approach through a survey of 100 e-commerce user respondents, and analyzes the relationship between variables using linear regression and the Sobel mediation test. This research evaluates waste generation as the dependent variable (Y), e-commerce consumption as the independent variable (X1), consumer behavior (I1) and environmental awareness (I2) as intervening variables. The analysis results indicate that e-commerce consumption has a positive effect on waste generation, with consumer behavior mediating this relationship. Conversely, environmental awareness does not exhibit a significant mediating effect. This study recommends promoting responsible consumption education, enhancing community-based waste management facilities, campaigning against waste burning, providing recycling incentives, and implementing regulations for eco-friendly packaging on e-commerce platforms to mitigate the negative environmental impacts of digital consumption
