Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and science subject class V at SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research population is class V at SD Negeri 067245 Bunga Asoka which consists of 1 class with a total of 30 students. Sampling used a total sample of 30 students. To determine students' initial abilities, researchers conducted a pretest with an average score of 50.5 in the not good category. After researchers used the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model, it showed that student learning outcomes had improved with an average score of 75 in the good category. This research can be proven from the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.841. If rcount ≥ rtable 0.841 ≥ 0.361 then Ha is accepted. This means that there is a strong correlation influence between the project based learning model on the learning outcomes of class V students at UPT SD N 066650 Medan Kota. It can be seen from the results of the t-test, namely 8.215 ≥ 2.048, thus stating that Ha is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence from the use of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in the science and sciences subject V SD Negeri 066650 Medan Kota for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in mathematics, particularly in the topic of fractions, at UPT SPF SD Negeri 101740 Tanjung Selamat. Preliminary observations revealed that many students considered mathematics to be difficult and monotonous, which led to low motivation, boredom, and limited participation during learning activities. The learning process was still dominated by teacher-centered methods with minimal use of engaging instructional media. To address this problem, an innovative learning strategy was implemented through the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by puzzle media. This research employed a quantitative experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design: The population of the study consisted of all 32 fourth-grade students, who were selected through total sampling. Research instruments included a 40-item multiple-choice test and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using normality testing, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing with a t-test. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after applying the TGT model. with puzzle media. The average pretest score prior to treatment was 56.12, whereas the average posttest score increased to 81.5. Correlation analysis showed a strong relationship between the use of TGT with puzzle media and student learning outcomes, with r_hitung = 0.650, which is greater than r_table = 0.349. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded t_count = 4.683, which exceeded t_table = 1.694, leading to the rejection of Ho and acceptance of Ha. In conclusion, the application of the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by puzzle media had a positive and significant effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Negeri 101740 Tanjung Selamat.

Abstract

This paper discusses the influence of the contextual teaching and learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the beautiful theme of togetherness in Grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan in the academic year 2023/2024. This study uses the quantitative method. The research population involved 30 grade IV students at SD 065013 Medan. The results imply that before the treatment students had an average learning outcome of 58.80 and the students did not meet the KKM. In addition, after being given the treatment, students had an average learning outcome of 82.63. With a normality testing result of 0.200, the conclusion is that the data are normally distributed. The result of the correlation test is 0.761, which means rcount (0.761) > rtable (0.361), then Ha is accepted. Therefore, there is a significant influence between the use of the contextual teaching and learning model on the student’s learning outcomes in grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan. It can be seen from the results of the t-test where the tcount 6.214 > ttable 2.042 so Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant positive influence from the use of the contextual teaching and learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the beautiful theme of togetherness in grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan in the academic year 2023/2024.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengaruh penggunaan metode problem solving pada mata pelajaran matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas IV SD Negeri 101733 Sei Semayang Kecamatan Sunggal Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik. Populasi penelitian tersebut melibatkan 27 siswa dalam satu kelas dari keseluruhan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 101733 Sei Semayang. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan simple random sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode problem solving termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 81.18. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan bahwa hasil pengujian kolerasi dapat dilihat pada nilai koefisien kolerasi sebesar rhitung > rtabel yaitu 0,839 > 0,381 maka Ha diterima. Maka terdapat pengearuh sangat kuat antara metode problem solving terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan materi pembulatan hasil pengukuran kesatuan, puluhan atau ratusan terdekat di kelas IV SD Negeri 101733 Sei Semayang Kecamatan Sunggal. Dapat juga dilihat dari hasil pengujian uji-t dimana thitung ≥ ttabel yaitu 7,21 ≥ 1,708 sehingga Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penggunaan metode problem solving pada mata pelajaran matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas IV SD Negeri 101733 Sei Semayang Kecamatan Sunggal Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

Artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa masalah terkait tentang masih kurangnya pengunaan metode pembelajaran, peserta didik kurang aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar siswa yang rendah. Penelitian yang dipaparkan pada artikel ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika materi bilangan bulat di Sekolah Dasar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Quantum Teaching. Penelitian tersebut dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus dilakukan satu kali pertemuan. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah test dan observasi. Tes yang diberikan sebanyak 31 soal dalam bentuk pilihan berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Pada pretest diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata 50,75, dan tingkat ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 29,41%. Pada postest siklus I mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan metode pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dengan nilai rata-rata 66,55 dan tingkat ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 52,95%. Dan setelah tindakan yang dilakukan dan diberikan postest siklus II maka diperoleh sebanyak 15 siswa yang tuntas hasil belajarnya dan 2 orang siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata postest siklus II meningkat menjadi 76,86 dan tingkat ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 88,22%.

Abstract

This article describes a research result regarding the effect of the Quantum Teaching model on students’ learning outcomes. The method used in the research was a quantitative experimental research method. The population of the research involved 31 fifth-grade elementary school students of SDN 105327 Perdamean Tanjung Morawa in the academic year 2020/2021. The pretest learning results obtained an average score of 66.96 with enough categories. After the researchers applied the treatment in the experimental class by using the Quantum Teaching model, the researchers, hereafter, provided a post-test and obtained an average score of 83.06 in the category of very good. The results of data processing and the significant value of the Quantum Teaching model obtained were 0.200 > 0.05, whilst the significant value of students’ learning outcomes was 0.200 > 0.05. Based on the calculation, it can be seen that the significant value of the Quantum Teaching model and students’ learning outcomes was higher than 0.05; thus, the students’ learning outcomes were normally distributed. From the results of the research hypothesis testing (t-test), it showed that the Quantum Teaching model had a positive and significant effect. It was proven from the tcount > ttable with significance value of 6.023 > 1.697. Thus, Ha was accepted, which meant that there was a significant influence between the Quantum Teaching (X) model and students’ learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This article describes the effect of a realistic mathematical education model on students’ learning outcomes on flat-building learning materials. The method of research used was the Quasi-Experimental research method. The research population involved 60 students of SD Negeri 101900 Lubuk Pakam in the academic year 2020/2021. The population of class IV A as the experimental class was 30 students and class IV B as the control class was 30 students. Students' mathematical learning outcomes in the even semester of class IV A showed that in the experimental class using the provision of realistic mathematics education models before conducting the pre-test, the average score was 55.80 in the less category level and after providing the treatment of realistic mathematical education model, the post-test was 81.29 in very good category level. Students' mathematical learning outcomes in the even semester for class IV B showed that in the control class using the conventional method before being treated, the average pre-test was 52.70 in the less category level and after being treated with conventional methods, the post-test average was 74.62 in good category level. Based on t-test analysis, it was obtained tcount 1.745 > ttable 1.671 with a significance level of 0.05 or 5%. Hence, the researcher concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Ha was stated accepted because the average score of learning outcomes by applying a realistic mathematical education model had an effect on students who were studied by applying the conventional method.

Abstract

This article reports the effect of the STAD-typed cooperative learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes in class V of SDN 040529 Ajibuhara Tiga Panah Karo in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research approach used in this article was quantitative. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling and involved a number of 31 students. The results indicated that students’ learning outcomes using the STAD model were categorized as very good with an average score of 80.64. It was achieved the normality testing with a significance value of 0.20, thus, 0.20 > 0.05 from the data of class V was normally distributed. In the correlation testing, the correlation coefficient was 0.371 with a significance of 0.040, which means rcount (0.371) > rtable (0.355). Hence, there was a positive correlation between the STAD model and students' mathematics learning outcomes, which was 2.150 > 1.826. Thus, Ha is accepted. It shows that there was a positive and significant effect of the STAD learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The results of this study indicated that implementing Group Investigation model increased students’ learning outcomes. It was seen from the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in each cycle. Before implementing the Group Investigation model, the result of the initial test (pretest) showed that 5 students (20%) reached the learning target, while 20 students (80%) did not reach the learning target with an average score of 56. Then, the observation in cycle I obtained that teachers’ activities was 62% while the students’ activities was 56%. Moreover, it was found that in cycle I, 10 students (40%) reached the learning target and 15 students (60%) did not reach the target score. The average score in this cycle was 67,52. This result implied that in general, 75% of the students did not yet achieve the target score; thus, the study was proceeded on cycle II. In cycle II, the observation results indicated that the teacher’s activities was 80% while the students’ activities was 82%. After that, the result of students’ learning outcome showed that 21 students (84%) reached the learning target, while 4 students (16%) did not reach the learning target, and the average score was 79,72. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that implementing Group Investigation model improved students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes through a jigsaw type cooperative model on Theme 8 at Grade V SD RK Budi Luhur Medan. The research method used was an experimental type of quantitative research. The data were obtained by using data collection tools in the form of documentation, a questionnaire of 25 statements and 33 questions. The research was conducted at grade V SD RK Budi Luhur Medan on 20 to 21 May 2021. The number of samples were 35 students selected by saturated sampling technique. Based on statistical analysis of the data, it was obtained that the results of learning motivation questionnaire with student enthusiasm were 48% in very high category and the results of the pretest were answered by students was an average value of 65.8 in moderate category. Furthermore, the results of the post test scores obtained by students from the answers was an average value of 86.74 with very good category. The results of the correlation analysis of the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes through Jigsaw Cooperative model obtained a correlation value of rcount = 0.880 with rtable = 0.334. Thus, the value of rcount was higher than the value of rtable, so the correlation was very significant. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcount = 10,618 ttable 1,697. It was concluded that there was a significant influence between learning motivation on learning outcomes through Jigsaw Cooperative Model.
