Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in Pancasila Education indicate that the learning process has not fully accommodated students' diverse learning needs. This study aimed to determine the effect of differentiated learning on students' learning outcomes in Pancasila Education on the topic “Different is Beautiful” in Class III B of SD Negeri 060922 Medan Sunggal for the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample consisted of 21 students of Class III B. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 25. Data analysis techniques included normality testing, product moment correlation, coefficient of determination, and t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 52.57, while the average posttest score increased to 83.52 after the implementation of differentiated learning. The correlation coefficient obtained was 0.945, indicating a very strong relationship. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.894, meaning that differentiated learning contributed 89.4% to students’ learning outcomes. Furthermore, the t-test results showed that tcount = 12.636 > ttable = 2.093 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It can be concluded that differentiated learning has a significant positive effect on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

The development of disciplined character is one of the primary goals of elementary education because it helps students develop responsibility, self-control, and compliance with school rules. However, many elementary school students still demonstrate low levels of discipline, including arriving late to school, violating school regulations, and showing limited responsibility in completing academic tasks. These conditions highlight the need to optimize guidance and counseling services as an effective strategy for fostering students' disciplinary character. This study aimed to describe the role of guidance and counseling services in developing the disciplinary character of elementary school students. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from various scholarly sources, including books, journal articles, and relevant documents, and were analyzed through descriptive analysis involving data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that guidance and counseling services contribute significantly to the development of students' disciplinary character through individual guidance, group guidance, classroom guidance, habituation of disciplined behavior, teacher role modeling, motivational reinforcement, and collaboration between schools and parents. The success of disciplinary character development is supported by consistent counseling implementation, parental involvement, and a positive school environment. Therefore, guidance and counseling services represent an effective and sustainable strategy for developing disciplinary character among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the implementation of Wordwall-based interactive learning media in improving the learning activeness of fourth-grade students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SD Negeri 064024 Medan Selayang. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research participants were 20 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations using a learning activeness observation sheet that assessed students' attention to learning materials, willingness to ask questions, ability to answer questions, and participation during classroom activities. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis based on the percentage of students' learning activeness. The findings revealed that the implementation of Wordwall-based interactive learning media successfully improved students' learning activeness. The average learning activeness increased from 57.45% before the implementation of Wordwall to 81.95% after its implementation, with an average improvement of 25%. Furthermore, all students demonstrated increased participation throughout the learning process. The use of Wordwall created a more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment that encouraged students to participate actively in classroom activities. Therefore, Wordwall-based interactive learning media can be considered an effective alternative for enhancing students' learning activeness in IPAS learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of guidance and counseling services on the emotional regulation of elementary school students at SD Negeri 030317 Gunung Sayang. The research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational design with simple linear regression analysis. The population consisted of fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students, with a total sample of 48 students selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring guidance and counseling services and students' emotional regulation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The descriptive analysis showed that the mean score of guidance and counseling services was 84.38, indicating a high category, while the mean score of students' emotional regulation was 82.71, indicating a good category. The prerequisite tests confirmed that the data were normally distributed and that the relationship between variables was linear. Hypothesis testing using simple linear regression produced a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with the regression equation Y = 28.642 + 0.641X, indicating that guidance and counseling services had a positive and significant effect on students' emotional regulation. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.428) revealed that guidance and counseling services contributed 42.8% to students' emotional regulation, while the remaining 57.2% was influenced by other factors. Therefore, guidance and counseling services play an important role in developing students' emotional regulation and supporting their social and emotional development in elementary schools.
