Abstract

This study aims to improve critical thinking skills through the application of science-based learning tools REMAP TMPS model ( Reading Concept Map Timed Pair Share ). The type of research was quasi experiment with One Group Pretest-Postest design . The population in this study were all students of class VII at SMPN 4 Pujut and SMPN 6 Pujut with sampling using purpusive sampling technique so that the samples taken are class VII-A at SMPN 4 Pujut and VII-B in SMPN 6 Pujut. instruments used to measure critical thinking skills in the form of answer-question as much as 10. The results showed the average N-gain class VII-A higher than class VII-B. This suggests that REMAP TMPS-based science learning tools has effective toword student critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to make the learning device based on guided inquiry in science learning and affectivities to improve students’ critical thinking skills and to examine its validity, effectiveness, and practicability. This research adapts Borg & Gall Research and Development and modification. The instruments of the research were instrument validation results, practicality, and effectiveness. Data were collected by employing a validation sheet that was validated by the assessor to gain validation and practicality scores, the student's positive response questionnaire and learning result test sheet were full filled-in by the students, and the observation sheet was full filled-in by the observer. The average score of total validity is in the score range of 2.6<SV≤3.5 and is an invalid category. The result of practicality research of learning devices based on practicality questionnaire the range of 3.5-4.0 and is in a very practice category. The result of effectiveness based on learning result test showed that 75 % of the students are completely based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the learning device based on guided inquiry is valid, practical, and effective that is feasible to be used in a learning activity in the classroom.Keywords: Development Research; Guided Inquiry; Critical Thinking Skill

Abstract

Students must be able to think at a high level in order to meet the requirements of the 21st century, including the ability to think critically. The mastery of student concepts about a material being studied influences the ability to think critically. The thing to remember is that all forms of critical thinking would not be possible without the main component of mastery of concepts. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of critical thinking and mastery of the basic concepts of science among SMPN students in Central Lombok Regency. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research with survey methods. Critical thinking tests and mastery of concepts by students using multiple choice instruments. The results showed that the average results: a) The critical thinking skills of nine high school students in Central Lombok were 71.69% with high criteria. The second critical thinking indicator, which provides further explanation, achieves the highest score in comparison with other indicators. b) Control of the basic concepts of natural sciences students with 76.20% with high criteria. The first indicator for controlling the concept is remembering who scores the highest score compared to other indicators

Abstract

Mount Pengsong is a mountainous ecotourism area with beautiful natural scenery and interesting biodiversity, including the presence of Macaca fascicularis populations. Type of food Macaca fascicularis in the tourist area of Mount Pengsong is not yet known, including it’s carrying capacity for population numbers. This study aims to determine the types of plants eaten and the types of food provided by visitors as well as the nutritional content of food consumed by monkeys in the area and the behavior of Macaca fascicularis as a management basis to support ecotourism in Mount Pengsong.  Data were collected using the "broad survey and line transect" method in the morning, afternoon and evening. Food data taken includes sources of food, drink, weather, temperature, humidity, humidity, altitude from sea level, and human activities around. The Macaca  fascicularis behavior data studied were daily activities, time to eat, play, rest, breed, population structure, population disturbance, social patterns (solitary / pair / group) and home range. The result is a monkey diet in the form of plants available around the tourist area as many as 23 species, 5 types of animals, 10 types of plants produced in agricultural areas and nine Types of food provided by visitors. Nutritional needs and elements can be fulfilled from available food sources and it will be more perfect by obtaining other food sources provided by visitors. Macaca fascicularis consumes a lot of plant species and is very dependent on the availability of food in its environment, the food given by visitors is liked by monkeys and provides good nutritional value. The population of Macaca fascicularis in the tourist area of Mount Pengsong was 83 individuals, 83 of whom were recorded from 9 (± 11%) adult males, 29 (± 35%) adult females and 45 (± 54%) juveniles and children. Daily activities of Macaca fascicularis were recorded as moving (35%), grooming (25%), playing (15%), inactive (10%), eating (6.8%), agonistic (3.6%), sleeping (2.3%), mating (0.9 %), and have a voice (0.8%).

Abstract

As a result, the monkey diet in the form of plants was available around the tourist area as many as 23 species, 5 types of animals, 10 types of plant production in agricultural areas, and nine types of food provided by visitors. Nutritional needs and elements can be fulfilled from the availability of food sources and will be even more perfect by getting other food sources provided by visitors. Population control is needed so that the number of populations is in accordance with the carrying capacity of food sources. Macaca fascicular consumes a lot of plant species and is highly dependent on the availability of food in its environment, the food provided by visitors is favored by monkeys and provides good nutritional value. The Macaca fascicular population needs to be controlled so that it is in accordance with the carrying capacity of its environment and avoid damaging horticultural crops and plantation plants around the tourist area.

Abstract

Bahan ajar adalah sumber materi guru dan siswa dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pengembangan bahan ajar yang inovatif, agar siswa dapat mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Salah satu bahan ajar yang inovatif dan kreatif adalah Bahan Ajar Berbasis Video Kreatif Biologi (MABVK Biologi). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk materi ajar berbasis video kreatif biologi pada materi sistem ekskresi. Selanjutnya, kualitas produk dinilai berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media dan uji kepraktisan skala kecil di SMAN 2 Mataram. Variabel penelitian hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli video dan uji skala kecil.  Hasil penelitian dari penilaian  ahli materi menunjukan tingkat kesesuaian yang signifikan antara materi sistem ekskresi dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Selanjutunya Ahli media kualitas audiovisual materi pembelajaran sistem ekskresi memiliki kelayakan yang cukup baik. Selanjutnya hasil analisis statistik tentang validasi ahli materi MABVK Biologi mencapai 0,91, dan ahli media 0,93. Sementara itu, hasil uji kepraktisan skala kecil terhadap siswa di SMAN 2 Mataram mencapai 99,25%. Oleh karena itu kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar biologi seperti materi sistem ekskresi dapat dikembangkan melalui Materi Ajar Berbasis Video Kreatif Biologi (MABVK Biologi).

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains dinyatakan sebagai keterampilan yang esensial dalam masyarakat abad 21, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut pada kondisi pandemi covid-19 diperlukan suatu inovasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang mampu melatih kemampuan literasi sains. Problem Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang menekankan/melibatkan masalah dalam belajar dan Literasi Sains . Literasi sains dapat dicapai melalui pembelajaran yang ada kaitannya dengan teknologi seperti pembelajaran berbasis Blended Learning serta berorientasi pada hasil akhir (OBE). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Blended Learning dan Outcomes Based Education terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa peserta didik pada materi Jamur Kelas X di SMA Negeri 7 Mataram. Metode penelitian menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling, dan data dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA dengan menggunakan SPSS 26.0. Hasil analisis Test Between Subject Effect menghasilkan nilai signifikan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik sebesar 0,00. Hasil tersebut dapat dinyatakan  bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Blended Learning dan Outcome Based Education terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 7 Mataram.

Abstract

Kemampuan litrasi sains dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dinyatakan sebagai keterampilan yang esensial dalam masyarakat abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis bauran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan siswa berpikir kritis di SMAN 1 Kuripan kelas X. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan instrumen tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda (multiple choice).  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji prasyarat analisis, uji normalitas,uji homogenitas, uji homogenitas varian kovarian, uji homogenitas kovarian, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis bauran terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Kuripan.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis dinyatakan sebagai keterampilan yang esensial dalam masyarakat abad 21, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut diperlukan suatu inovasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang mampu melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Problem Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang melibatkan masalah dalam belajar. Berpikir kritis dapat dicapai melalui pembelajaran yang ada kaitannya dengan teknologi. Blended learning memungkinkan siswa dapat berdiskusi dan bertukar informasi yang didapat dari berbagai sumber. Kondisi kecakapan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi dasar penerapan Blended-PBL dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbasis blended learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMAN 2 Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan didapatkan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes essay berupa pre-test dan post- test. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t teknik independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menggunakan program SPSS 22 for Windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model PBL berbasis blended learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbasis blended learning lebih baik daripada metode konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 2 Mataram.

Abstract

Literasi sains dan berpikir kritis merupakan aspek penting yang bisa dijadikan bekal bagi generasi jaman sekarang yang harus dimiliki untuk menghadapi tantangan masa kini dan masa depan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring serta kemampuan literasi sains biologi dan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Woha pada masa pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Woha. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 49 orang siswa yang berada di kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar pedoman wawancara dan soal tes literasi sains biologi serta berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pandemi covid-19 memengaruhi proses pembelajaran. Beberapa faktor pendukung guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yaitu ketersediaan media pembelajaran dan kuota serta jaringan yang stabil di sekolah. Faktor penghambat adalah jaringan yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik di rumah masing-masing serta adanya peserta didik yang masih belum memiliki laptop untuk menunjang pembelajaran. Nilai kemampuan literasi sains biologi peserta didik adalah 49,79% dan nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik adalah 55,23%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains biologi dan berpikir kritis di SMA Negeri 1 Woha dikategorikan rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains biologi dan berpikir kritis ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu minat membaca yang masih rendah, alat evaluasi yang belum mengarah pada pengembangan literasi sains biologi, kurangnya minat belajar siswa dan pengetahuan siswa yang masih terpotong-potong sehingga siswa sulit untuk mengaitkan konsep yang satu dengan yang lainnya.
