Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module integrated with peer learning and workplace communication simulations to enhance students’ communication skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model—Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The product was validated by two subject matter experts and one media expert, and its effectiveness was tested through limited trials and expanded trials involving 60 students using pretest and posttest scores. Data were analyzed using quantitative and descriptive qualitative techniques. Qualitative data in the form of suggestions and feedback from validators were used to improve the e-module. Meanwhile, quantitative data were obtained from validation scores, teacher assessments, and student test results, which were analyzed to measure the feasibility and effectiveness of the product. The e-module received a validity score of 96% from content experts and 100% from the media expert, indicating high feasibility. Effectiveness trials showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, with an average N-Gain of 0.751 in the limited trial and 0.791 in the expanded trial. Practical communication skills, including oral communication and workplace communication ethics, improved substantially, with simulation performance scores averaging 90.667 and 90.800 in two different classes. These results confirm the effectiveness of the interactive e-module in supporting the teaching of workplace communication and enhancing students’ real-world communication competencies. Students’ negotiation and persuasion skills showed the most significant improvement among the communication aspects assessed. Therefore, the developed module is suitable for use as a digital learning tool in vocational Office Management programs.

Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi, khususnya Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), memiliki peran penting dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap kerja sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri. Perkembangan teknologi, transformasi digital, dan perubahan kebutuhan industri menuntut kurikulum yang adaptif agar kompetensi lulusan tetap relevan dengan pasar kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis relevansi kurikulum terhadap kebutuhan dunia kerja dan implikasinya terhadap employability lulusan SMK. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pedoman PRISMA. Sumber data diperoleh dari basis data Scopus dengan rentang publikasi tahun 2020–2025. Dari 356 artikel yang teridentifikasi, sebanyak 15 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lima tema utama, yaitu relevansi kurikulum terhadap kebutuhan industri, skill mismatch pada lulusan pendidikan vokasi, peran soft skills dalam employability, kemitraan sekolah dan industri, serta strategi peningkatan employability di era digital. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa employability lulusan dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi teknis, soft skills, kompetensi digital, kemampuan adaptasi, dan pengalaman kerja yang diperoleh selama pendidikan. Selain itu, keterlibatan industri melalui program magang, work-based learning, teaching factory, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja lulusan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa relevansi kurikulum merupakan faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan employability lulusan SMK sehingga diperlukan pembaruan kurikulum secara berkelanjutan serta penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan dunia industri.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills have not yet reached an optimal level. The 2022 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) results indicate Indonesia's lowest performance since its first participation in 2000. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the integrated Flipped Classroom and Problem-Based Learning (FLOBLE) model, supported by the Edukati Learning Management System (LMS), in improving students' critical thinking skills in economics. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of Class X-5 as the experimental group and Class X-4 as the control group at SMA Negeri 16 Semarang during the 2025/2026 academic year. Primary data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using an independent-samples t-test, normalized gain (N-gain), and effect size analysis. The results show that the FLOBLE model effectively improves students' critical thinking skills in economics. The experimental group achieved an N-gain score of 71.96% (moderately effective), while the control group obtained 53.86% (less effective). The effect size value of 0.819 indicates a large effect. These findings demonstrate that the FLOBLE model is more effective than Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and provides an effective alternative for enhancing students' critical thinking skills in economics.

Abstract

The implementation of digital systems in population administration at the village level often reveals a gap between the ideal concept of e-government and practical reality on the ground. This study aims to examine and evaluate the implementation of digital-based population administration in Kalisegoro Village, Semarang City, with an emphasis on technological adaptation, data reliability, and service accessibility. Applying a qualitative case study approach through George C. Edwards III’s evaluation framework, data were collected via in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research findings indicate that digitalization successfully reduces bureaucratic procedures and increases transparency; however, it remains hindered by unstable central network infrastructure and challenges in migrating legacy data. The study concludes that the success of electronic government systems depends not only on technical factors but also on the synergy between digital efficiency and human-centric administrative considerations, such as the "pick-up and deliver" policy for elderly services. The uniqueness of this research lies in its strengthening of a management model at the grassroots bureaucratic level that combines technocratic efficiency with human values to bridge the digital divide. These findings provide a strategic contribution to developing a more inclusive and socially just public service ecosystem at the local level.

Abstract

Tourism villages that are inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable Wanurejo Tourism Village, located near Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java, possesses remarkable potential in culture, nature, creative economy, and community-based tourism. However, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, suboptimal tourism promotion, and manual village administration services. This community service program aimed to implement digital transformation by developing the “Smart Desa” (DEWI—Desa Wisata Wanurejo) Android application, which integrates public services, local MSME promotion, and tourism information. The service method used in the digitalization program for Wanurejo Tourism Village can be categorized as Participatory Action Research (PAR), as the entire process emphasizes active community involvement—from problem identification and planning to action and evaluation. A training module and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) were developed to strengthen digital literacy and ensure sustainability. The results indicate that the Smart Desa application successfully digitalized at least five administrative services, engaged over 500 active users, and facilitated the participation of 20 MSMEs within six months. Digital literacy training improved community competence, with 70% of participants demonstrating enhanced skills. Digital promotion on social media increased the village account's followers by 5,000, boosting tourist visits and MSME transactions. Additionally, supporting infrastructure, such as Wi-Fi access points and digital information boards, was provided, while youth forums were established to manage digital content and tourism packages. This program demonstrates that digital transformation not only enhances service efficiency and transparency but also empowers communities, strengthens economic competitiveness, and fosters sustainable tourism development. The initiative aligns with SDGs 8, 9, and 11 and supports higher education performance indicators by involving lecturers, students, and the local community. Overall, Wanurejo Tourism Village has become a model for smart tourism pratices.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemajuan teknologi menuntut digitalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, realitas di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa tingginya intensitas penggunaan gawai oleh siswa belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan akademik yang berdampak pada capaian pembelajaran peserta didik, sehingga diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran untuk menjembatani kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital interaktif berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan model penelitian 4-D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi dan tes, sedangkan tahap analisis data kelayakan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk memvalidasi dan menguji efektivitas produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media Ekogen berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam memperoleh kategori sangat layak yang mana hasil validasi akhir media Ekogen dari ahli materi diperoleh nilai sebesar 92,6%, hasil validasi akhir media Ekogen dari ahli bahasa yang ditinjau pada penggunaan bahasa diperoleh nilai sebesar 97,2% dan hasil validasi akhir media Ekogen dari ahli media diperoleh nilai sebesar 98,1%. Hasil uji N-Gain pada uji coba terbatas dan diperluas memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,463 dan 0,528 dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu media interaktif Ekogen berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam dinyatakan layak, praktis dan efektif digunakan sebagai sarana untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini berimplikasi dalam menyediakan alternatif inovasi pembelajaran yang membantu guru dalam menyajikan proses pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, interaktif, dan kontekstual, sehingga mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman peserta didik. However, the reality in the field shows that the high intensity of gadget use by students has not been fully utilized for academic purposes that impact student learning outcomes, thus requiring learning innovations to bridge student needs. This study aims to develop interactive digital learning media based on a deep learning approach. The design used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D research model. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, observation, and tests, while the data analysis stages of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness combine qualitative and quantitative approaches to validate and test the effectiveness of the product. The results of the study indicate that the development of Ekogen media based on a deep learning approach obtained a very feasible category, in which the final validation results of Ekogen media from subject matter experts obtained a score of 92.6%, the final validation results of Ekogen media from language experts reviewed in terms of language use obtained a score of 97.2%, and the final validation results of Ekogen media from media experts obtained a score of 98.1%. The N-Gain test results in limited and expanded trials obtained scores of 0.463 and 0.528, which are categorized as moderate. The conclusion of this study is that the Ekogen interactive media based on a deep learning approach is feasible, practical, and effective as a tool to support the learning process. Thus, this study has implications in providing alternative learning innovations that help teachers deliver a more interesting, interactive, and contextual learning process, thereby increasing student engagement and understanding.
